Money do not follow you...... it takes every opportunity to part ways with you. You are supposed to be the leader and the one making sure that money stays with you. Rich people are not spending 85% of their income on takeaways and cheap thrills.... they make sure that they are in control of their money... so that their money work for them. 

Money can motivate people to work harder, but people can quickly get used to extra income and their expenses grow with that.... so it is only a temporary motivator.

I know many people including a millionaire usually talk like this, but I disagree with their opinions since there's no such money will follow you or don't try to chase money etc. Because the value you've making are to get more money, they're just act like they're very spend a lot effort to contribute for the world etc without any money, but when someone offer money to them, they wouldn't decline it.

All people do anything to get money, most people didn't improve themselves and but they're prefer to destroy other people who better than them.

Money is never the root of all evil and can never be the root of any evil, because that was a statement been told by the rich to discourage the poor or their descendants to want to be rich like them someday. Because it is indeed the lack of money that is the root of all evil.

If you choose to chase after money all the days of your life, it can be very exhausting. Money is never enough so the chase may never end, no early retirements of any form, you will keep chasing till you wear out and most likely become poor if you don't seek a way to make money remain with you or come to you. Position yourself to make money come to you, so you can retire early and have a great life!

If you know your worth/value then money will always follow you and that's the difference of following money vs money following you. We know that those who follow the money are the ones who work almost endlessly and I don't know if being a workaholic have something to do with that but I guess it has something that's part of why they were working so hard. Besides of money being a motivation to others, I find it not enough since what they would do with the money when it doesn't have a purpose?

The motivation will always be the one that will always find the money or the money will find you. What I'm talking about is how good are you with your work? What talent do you have to deserve the money to follow you?

Well I do think that you understand the fact that most things that we need in today's world is ofcourse built by money, health, house, medicine everything and anything is based on it, not even clean water for drinking is free and in certain countries you won't be able to live without an air purifier, therefore you need to understand that it might be a motivation but to make it right and fruitful, it might not be the right motivation, if your motivation is making lives of your family and ofcourse youself better, ofcourse you would have to depend on earning a good amount but you need to understand that it's ofcourse poison in excessive quantities.

We all work hard to gain money and a good amount of compensation, because we all wanted to live life at its best. The reason why money becomes a motivation to all of us not to stop from struggling to finish our jobs or doing such investments. However, there are some instances that people resort into committing crimes and illegal acts because of the greed of money, that way money becomes the root of an evil.

At the beginning unless you were fortunate enough to be born rich you have to work hard to reach some wealth, however the problem is that most people get stuck in this phase and never get out of it, the famous rat race as it is famously known, the way to financial wealth is to not get trapped on the rat race, but how this can be done? By saving your money, avoiding frivolous purchases and debts and finally by investing in good assets, this takes time but once you reach your financial freedom you will realize that it was totally worth to make the effort to reach it.

there are some people who are enslaved by money. what is meant is a person who is always busy making money without caring about his family and himself. he has become rich. but he still felt not enough with the money he had. and he continues to earn money until he forgets the importance of being together with his family once in a while.

but for people who are middle to lower economic level. then it is natural that they are looking for money as hard as possible and work very hard. because they are not just looking for money. but they try to meet the necessities of life that must be met such as food and clothing and electricity bills etc. in the household.

who are enslaved by money are those who have excessive ambition. those who are already very rich. but they keep piling up money to the point of sacrificing their precious time with family.

I think money is not a follower but it was the leader and we people are its followers. We do anything no matter how hard it was only to get a piece of them. That is how powerful they are but how can you say that money is poor/bad? Maybe because you believe on what the saying says that money is the root of all evil?

I think that was wrong. It's not the fault of money but it's about the person if how they will use their money. If only they will use the money on proper things like buying a food and paying their bills then that is a good example but it is wrong if the person spend all if not most of their money on drugs, alcoholic drinks and gambling.

This is typical middle class people's mindset which I strongly oppose.

From the statement money can't buy everything we agreeing the fact we don't have enough money to buy everything so we are simply consoling ourselves that we are rich by heart but that isn't reality.

I think we still need to work hard and smart both in the current trend to earn money. There is no free money, there is no free way to earn money. If you need money to work for you (I am rephrasing OP statement, where they state money should follow us) then we need millions of dollars kept in the bank and we earning interest from the banks. I am pretty sure that the initial step still needs time, skills and energy to get millions of dollars. You see where we going with this? We circling around the fact that we need to work to earn money no matter what.

My opinion on this is very simple. First of all everyone who is still alive in this world all need money and that cannot be denied by anyone. Because every human being who wants to start a business in this world must always be based on money before he has the knowledge to run his business.

Weirdly enough that’s not me, I improve myself for money and that’s how I did so far. Like for example I was asked to write, I wrote and I made money and I became a better writer by doing it over and over again. Then I was asked to make a website, well I wasn't asked, but someone was offering good money for it, and I did, and then I get paid so I learned how to do it better, then I was asked for other stuff and I learned those stuff and did it.

Good thing is, youtube is filled with educational stuff and people decline to do it themselves, like 100$ worth of websites could be done via youtube videos in a day, and they just don't want to, and rather pay.

The problem is that not many people know how to get money to follow them instead of following where the money goes. They are busy making money without knowing how to make it work. But rich people know how and don't go into detail about it. This is where people are required to think creatively and be active in finding ways that can work for them because each person has their own way of making money. There are many problems that they have to face and it depends on how that person can solve them so they can start making money.
