Free NFTs are a waste of time

Hi frens. I just opened this topic because imo YES, Free NFTs are a waste of time.
NFT is like a key to unlock a door, like a inmutable stamp of ownership, a piece of art, and more... it's a valuable thing and can't be given for free. However you can transfer it to anyone you know, freely.
Currently I'm playing with Private NFTs. Yes, FULLY PRIVATE   I can manage my NFTs inside a DApp which is protected and also become a publisher of new NFTs. Which is sick !!
I fully own my NFTs and nobody knows I am the owner, yet I can speculate and sell them or transfer them freely. I believe this is the next step, since most NFTs are public and that's quite dangerous tbh.

Another one bites the dust 🧐. Honestly, I never truly understood the maddening rush for NFTs a few months ago as I saw it as needless. Now, many people are beginning to realize that it's not really worth the effort. I read in another thread here how a particular project reneged on sending certain promised NFT to its hunters as part payment, explaining that something scammy went wrong. Well, it's what it's. Every coin or token without a solid utility will always get wiped off when the going gets tough during a bear season. That's what's happening to NFTs and memetokens.

I still do if it's from trusted sources. Claiming free NFTs can be done in less than a minute so it wouldn't hurt your time if you put some effort to it. No one knows, maybe in the future that particular NFT can be sold at a good price if its developers make some utilities for it and its community actively promote it. I would prefer claiming free NFTs than doing airdrops which is very time consuming.

Maybe you're right, it was just a few minutes to comply with the task and get some free NFT.
I've never set aside the chance that they will also have some value (accidentally) when the market is bullish. I just remember in the past when a lot of shitcoins rallies xxx during the bull season and make people rich, might this happen to NFT as well. Yes, we never know what will happen to them a few years from now but never expect more from them.

so for me looking for an airdrop and following it for free is not a waste of time,
because the tasks given are also fairly simple so why waste time? In fact,
I think looking for free NFT can make us earn even though it's not big we should be grateful.

Binance often gives free NFT, I also have more than 3 NFT tokens in Binance and in my opinion it is very good if I hold, a total of 3 NFTs are currently around $ 26, an increase of around 40% compared to when I received the 3 NFT.

the only nft that is worth it definitely coming from the ones that usually requires you to stake their coins, these usually have some kind of utilities like the ones that's being used in game, this nft usually have liquidity than the nft that's based from arts that usually could hardly being liquidated, after all it needs your more efforts in gaining and the games usually could be long lasting ones like games land etc that's still have the liquidity until today like the ones in axie infinity.

most free NFTs are not worth holding. however, if it is free, why not? you are just hoping that one day they will be of value. there may be few NFTs that are indeed valuable, however, as you said, they should have some kind of utility that will make them worthy.
if you have no other things to do, that's fine collecting those free ones. however, if you have other things to do, better allot it to activities that you think you can really gain something.

The hype of NFTs is almost end now. and many NFT projects are constantly coming in the market and they have created various types of NFTs to sell them at low prices . So free NFTs are not very effective though they are sellable but not very profitable. So I am not very optimistic about NFT project and I have no interest in free NFT

Remember even not free NFTs can become garbage NFT too. The free NFT has more chance to be garbage nft with zero value. In most of cases people needs to mine it by themselves and it's not even worth with the fees that already paid to the network. Sometime the developers were charging even more to mind the NFT. WTF was wrong with those people who are still mining NFT. they didn't even aware if they have been doing something wrong.

Yes, this is correct. Some of the free NFTs today are just a waste of money since you will need to pay for the network fee if they are using ERC20 (ETH). And a lot of Free NFTs just pop up on the internet after they got a trend and maybe they are checking if the value of these NFTs will go up on the auction.

I think the era of NFT is ending since it got many trends which just like the P2E which a lot of people are just thinking it just a scam strategy to make money by the developers.

Mostly they would be worth nothing in the future just like how most airdrop and bounties are worth nothing. Only a few will make a name for themselves then more scammers will begin to introduce their own NFT just to interest investors into giving them their hard earned money. Instead of focusing on claiming free NFT, get a job that pays decently and save money to invest in the already established ones as they'll keep increasing if the hype of the NFT continues on next bull run.
BoredApp has to be one of those NFT you shouldn't miss having as the price has drop in the beae market. Those guys over there understand how to take advantage of marketing to push their brand. More benefits of holding the NFT will come in the future just as they enjoyed the Apecoin airdrop.

If you are doing such things like getting free NFT from task completion then I would have a different approach on them which says people generally list them for very low price and if you try to sell it you would gain very little amount maybe slightly high to the Transaction fees only so what profit do you make out of them? I have minted some free NFT but not task completion but that were hype and have some utility so that we can have some profit.

some of them are still earning but some are just trash. You just have to see the potential of the NFT or join their community so that you know how the whole project is and what the potential of the NFT is in the future, even if it's free but can make money it doesn't hurt to claim.

Most of NFT are trash. You may earn some money but that's only coming from a few percents from total NFT available in your wallet. The potential of NFT is not yet known. It's caused by NFT was still experimental. You will be wasting your money for fees.

They shouldn't call it free if you need to pay something before you get it but it's okay to try and pay some fees only if it's on a different network not eth because the fees there are quite expensive. On other networks, I think the fees are only under a dollar and if you got lucky that your nft becomes valuable, the time and fees that you sacrifice is going to be worth it.

The hype for nft is still there. It didn't end but it became more relevant by the time play to earn games and metaverse are introduced because nft is one of their utility. If we are serious about nft then we better invest on those established nft's in the market today. We have a better chance with them than the new nft's which are only distributed for free.

In my experience, Free NFTs is not a waste of time. Free NFTs give you small profit not a huge Profit. But main point it is almost free in return you will get profit from $5 to $20. (DYOR)

So, how many free NFTs that already given you free money? 50? 100? Rare NFT will not be given for free. there will be some conditions about how to acquire it. The developers are not stupid enough like you think. The developers were giving trash NFT for free to the people that was doing simple task. We have been seeing thousands of NFT in opensea worth nothing. It's only in opensea and we have not yet counted from another market too
