I fully agree, the name DK Yoo has been put to the map of known people after Manny accepted his deal of an exhibition fight.  But regardless it is always good to know that Yoo agrees to some of the proceedings of the fight be given to the charity.
I don't know him and when this match has shown that they'll be fighting for a charity cause. Then, that's where his name shined. Became a good name because of the cause and at the same time, people now have known him because he's going to be up against Manny Pacquiao. I'm looking for some websites to know how much the tickets would be. Does anyone know where the tickets are up for sale and how much the tickets will be?

Same here, I haven't heard the name DK Yoo until the announcement of the exhibition fight against Manny Pacquiao.  I think DK Yoo got a jackpot when Manny accepted the deal to fight him in an exhibition match because many people will look into his profile.  It is also a good advertisement and exposure for his social media channel.
He really a jackpot when he's going to have an exhibition match against Pacquiao and note that it's for a charity cause. Too many professional fighters are wanting to fight him because they can easily excel with their boxing career whether they win or lose against him.
It is that whoever matches Pacquiao, there's for sure another opportunity that will come as long as they're not yet retired. It's certainly a big boost for DK.

About the ticket price, I also looked at the internet but I can't find any information.
We're about to enter December but I guess they're making it a private ticket sales that will only be available in South Korea.

Well, all these things are very common in an exhibition fight, if DK stated that Pacquiao was going for a charity fight, this is something that is always sought in exhibition fights, of course the Manny Pacquiao thing is something else, because neither of us want to see Pacquiao lose, because a reader like him has something else that we want to see from him, like a good victory.

However, we all know what Pacquiao is like, apart from being a great boxer he also has other interests, if he wanted to be a very great politician in his country, that also means that he has a great heart, because I understand that "good politicians" are those who want to help.

Some of the things I didn't know about Pacquiao that happened:

Legendary boxing referee admits to cheating by giving Manny Pacquiao 18-second count

Quote
Boxing referee Carlos Padilla has claimed he helped Manny Pacquaio win a famous fight by giving him an astonishing 18-second count.

Padilla enjoyed a great career and is most famed for being the man in the middle for the Thrilla in Manilla between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier.

However one of his most infamous fights came 25 years later when he officiated an up and coming Pacquiao against Nedal Hussein in 2000.

The Filipino was a big name in his home country but was yet to make it Stateside and took on Hussein for the WBC international title.

DK, on the other hand, won the sweepstakes when he was chosen by Manny, so for sure, it will boost his social media present. And who knows, fans of Manny might follow this Youtube star. Let's see who will be the judges and the referee here, we are definitely curious who is going to score it from the sideline.

I fully agree, the name DK Yoo has been put to the map of known people after Manny accepted his deal of an exhibition fight.  But regardless it is always good to know that Yoo agrees to some of the proceedings of the fight be given to the charity.

Is that right? I really thought that it was all Manny Pacquiao's share that will be given to the charity excluding DK Yoo. If that is really the case then it is indeed good that he actually agreed to take some part of his share and donate it to Manny Pacquiao's chosen charity. Well, I guess that is DK Yoo's way to thank Manny Pacquiao because he have been chosen to be the latter's first dance since he retired from the industry.

Based on reports from news media that the funds from the boxing fight will be donated to charity but no news leaks it will be given 100% without exception or most of it will be donated, I think the announcement of the amount of donation will be made after the fight. I agree with your opinion, DK Yoo feels very lucky to have been given the opportunity to fight with this legendary boxer, even though he stated that it was difficult to win the fight, he is still eager to train and he will make a surprise attack for Manny Pacquiao.

Yeah, most exhibition fights often offer a charity fund to whatever charity institution the boxer has in mind.  Because matches with the legendary boxer and known people are proven to collect huge sum of money and some boxer take this opportunity to donate funds to charity institution.

However, we all know what Pacquiao is like, apart from being a great boxer he also has other interests, if he wanted to be a very great politician in his country, that also means that he has a great heart, because I understand that "good politicians" are those who want to help.

Well, Manny had lots of achievements in his life.  He is a boxer, singer, basketball player, billiard player movie producer, crypto enthusiast, and of course politician.  He is also a good samaritan because he is willing to give help to anyone who is in need.

This is some kind of a revelation but this is not Manny Pacquiao's fault.  It is on the boxing management's fault that this kind fo match fixing happen.  This is news to me so I dig out  video of their fight.  If you are interested to see how the manipulation of the fight happens, you can check it here: Nedal Hussein v Manny Pacquiao 14 October 2000 Antipolo City, Rizal, Philippines

Just be careful with that surprise attack. It might trigger Pacquiao to forget that it was just an exhibition fight. Kidding aside, in the sense of sharing the profits to charities we don't know how much part of the earnings but knowing Pacquiao it's already an established good deeds that he always do even when he is away from this sport, he continually provides help to his chosen charities.

Good thing that Yoo is also in a same page for doing his own and giving part of his earning to his own chosen charities.

This is a blow. I didn't know about this thing but if this referee has said it. It might be true but also not true. I haven't seen yet the match of Pacquiao for that year against Nedal.
But if that's something that he has exposed and admitted well, it's on him. Even if he has given the advantage and help for the count for Pacquiao. Still, his other matches that he's got can speak for himself that he's literally a legend and did his best all the way from the bottom to the top.

I think DK Yoo got a jackpot when Manny accepted the deal to fight him in an exhibition match because many people will look into his profile.  It is also a good advertisement and exposure for his social media channel.
-cut-
This made me think that DK Yoo must be sure to win somehow to advertise his Warfare Combat System.
Because most of the martial arts "influencers" that are teaching their style are all about show and their "superior" technics. They don't do fights like this because if they mess it up, all their showy technics will lose all credibility, which means there's no myth around them anymore.

They must look like they work in real situations (which they most of the time don't) or at least work if you are good enough like teacher should be in order to sell courses.

Defeat would be stunning blow to credibility for someone like DK Yoo. When suddenly his one inch punch sort of miracle and borderline mystical chi-technics won't do anything, their act all falls apart. This isn't the case with most fighters, they are not coming from same background and they look at it as a sport where you can win or lose.

Not really, so we believe that Pacman will just be okay with losing? Which is more important, Pacman's legacy or DK Yoo's business? I guess both have important name to protect, so they will try to win to stay popular, so I'm hoping there's no script to follow.  Smiley

If Pacquaio is losing against a big name boxer like Mayweather, he wouldn't mind about it. But DK Yoo is really unknown since he's from MMA and he haven't coached a good MMA fighter that can qualify for UFC fight, so he's literally just a local MMA coach. I think the script is make Pacquiao will win this fight since he said he will back in professional career after he won this exhibition fight. Also there's no bookies added this fight which mean there's no hype.

Anyway, that is in the past now. Pacquiao is now a legend, and that blow will not tarnish his name.
It could also be ticking his conscience and that's why he has to say it publicly. But no matter what he's up during that fight of Pacquiao, I agree that it could sort of change Pacquiao's future.
Although, there could really be a little to big change on that but we saw how persistent and hard working Pacquiao was during his prime and that's no brainer why he's one of the most successful boxing legend.

There is a statement towards this and Padilla really admit what he do just to give Pacquaio a important win of his career. But he also clarifies that Pacquiao doesn't know about this and his team is clean about what he do its just he listen to someone who ask about some favor to give advantage to Pacquaio also he is filipino so he agree to do it because he want Pacquaio to win.

This statement cannot tarnish the legacy of Pacquio since the man prove and this is truly built from scratch.

This statement cannot affect Pacquiao's legacy anymore since Manny Pacquiao had already proven how undisputable he is inside the ring by winning 8 different division tittles. During his prime he was deemed to have the fastest speed and a very strong counter-puncher. Nonetheless, I am just happy that even if Manny Pacquiao had already retired, he still plans to play boxing via exhibition matches and as always he opts to give his winnings to chosen his chosen charity, he always is a generous man that is why Filipinos love him.

Not sure about Pacquiao's desire to come back in a pro fight but coming from that sentiment or statement, I can agree that his opponent is not someone who can beat him in every aspects, though coaching or having knowledge with MMA ain't have that much impact in terms of boxing, different ring which have different fighting styles.

No hype as the target market is those who are willing to support for the charities. Maybe on Pacquiao's next exhibition he might be facing real fighters who have the same or maybe good fighting capabilities that may attract more fans and followers to support.

More on the fight and not just a fan who will follow their idol.

Is Pacquiao really thinking about making a comeback to professional boxing? Because as incredible as he was as a boxer I think his best days are behind him and maybe it is a better idea for him to embrace his retirement, after all an exhibition fight does not have anywhere near the same intensity as a professional fight, and even if I still think he can beat the majority of the boxers in his division out there, it would be difficult for him to beat a champion.

It's a mixed report though, others say that he is going to be back in the ring and try again, but obviously, he is just playing it 'safe' in this exhibition matches. And I think majority here will agree that it's better for Manny to retire in the professional level, he has nothing to proved anymore. Let the younger generation took over the 147 lbs division, we have Spence and Crawford and others already.

So we will see him in the ring again, but it's just a exhibition match and me being a fan, I'm cool with that.

And maybe there will be more exhibitions for him in the future.

But there are no valid reports of Manny returning for pro fighting, but I hope Manny has his last professional fight before retirement, maybe he can fight boxers not much different for his age. Exhibition fights will increase his skills before he plans a big fight for the championship fight. I'm sure he will end his boxer career for the biggest fight.

I got to admit, I never know Pacquiao before the big fights in the US against big Mexican names, so I am clueless whether this is true or not. But Padilla is also a big name in the Philippines as a boxing referee. So, I do not think that he will sully his name if there is no truth about it. I think he is just coming out clean after all these years. To think about it, that could have affected the future of Pacquiao if he lost that fight. He is still a hard fighter but if he lost that he could have lost a lot of opportunity including maybe moving up and having fights in the US.

Anyway, that is in the past now. Pacquiao is now a legend, and that blow will not tarnish his name.

Only a few of athletes on  different sports do really consider out on making those charitable deeds or works depending or basing up into their earnings for said such fight which majority of them would really be

pursing out those profits and dont tend to share up to everyone.Well, its their money then its none of our business on how they would really be allocating it but its not really that much important.

It do really just turns out that people do really appreciate nor commend up into those fighters or athletes who do really consider such deed.
Speaking about being generous then Pacquiao is indeed one and no doubt he's really be that known into that kind of behavior.

It's good to see Pacquiao back in the ring even though it's a promotion fight. It's obvious who will win in this match. I've seen a few videos of DK Yoo on youtube and had no idea he is a martial artist. As long as the fight's proceeds go somewhere else and it will benefit those who are in need it will be worth promoting. I am really not a fan of exhibition match since most boxer who does this do it for the money, take Mayweather and Logan Paul for instance. If you retire from boxing keep it as it is, stop for good and stop going back just to make some money. Not to mention most of it are scripted.

There could be hard fans like you who doesn't want exhibition matches, but what can you do? this boxers will need to earn money again, and in this case, easy money as this is the only way they know how to make ends meet.

So Mayweather and Paul Brothers started this whole even, but as you know, Floyd is very smart, taking fight after fight and in just matter of minutes earning millions without having to sweat it out, like Jake Paul recently against Anderson Silva.

I don't really see any reason why the fans would be against such fights. It's not a continuation of a career, it's just another activity. With their fame, they could go on a cooking show and make a lot of money too, but the best ex-pros can do is in the ring, so it's not surprising that they end up there again.
It is necessary to separate a professional career and everything else. Boxers, even if they ended their career at the age of 40, cannot go to a monastery for the sake of remembering themselves as just a pro and not doing anything else.

Best explanation so far for those people who are against exhibition fights that the legendaries themselves are making. We cannot really stop them if they wanted to make that happen because they loved the sport and that's what they've been doing since their teenage years, also, they can still make millions from it. So, let's say that you're one of those legendaries, wouldn't you make the same decision too? I bet you'll say yes.

Well it is a fact, when we stop to think, those boxers have the right to have their money and that is the only way they learned throughout their lives how to make money, and since they are Legends, in this case I consider Pacquiao Legend, How many of us don't wish Tyson would come back even in exhibition fights? and there is someone to rescue here, he still has his chance, even though his health is a bit poor he can do it, if he recovers I would be fascinated to see him win, because he will not accept any defeat even playing, so these things that some of us would like to see again, because Pacquiao is doing them.

In particular, I would like the Legend Pacquiao to return to the ring as a professional, I know that many like to have Pacquiao in exhibition fights, the truth is less effort, less stress, it is something that is very comfortable and that everything they are in their comfort zone and that he himself can feel comfortable, but there is nothing like the emotion of doing a really great fight, that his preparation is much stronger, that the fights are of great emotion, that he hardly intervenes the technical aspect, because Pacquiao is a fighter who goes to blows as he is, leaves the technical aside (as it should be) and adds emotion to any fight, one of those fights that we like so much.
