If you invest in crypto you must prepare for the worst scenario thats why many members here advice to just invest what you can afford to lose since crypto is too risky, yes many people can easily earn in crypto compare to traditional investments like in banks but the problem is we are not ready if somethings happens like price crash, In my experience in crypto where I also liquidated many times you just need to be prepared on whatever happens to your investment either you will become rich in just over night or become homeless.

Never ask other people for advice when it comes to your money. Read what happens to the mood of people in a bear market, disappointment is one of the stages of downward movement, and then it will probably be even worse, but after that there will be a reversal and the market will go up, this has happened more than once.

Worst if your assets are 100% in bitcoin, unless you always have your fiat ready and waiting for every crash. There are different opinions of market phenomena in every perspective.

Try to look back at the history of bitcoin prices in the past. Even in some crashes, bitcoin has been considered dead. But in the end the notion rewarded them with scratching their heads. So don't let your desperation take away your chance.

When the market crashes, our wealth drops and we respond to it with sadness and disappointment, which is understandable. Because we are human and that is our feelings but never give up because if you give up you will be the one to fail. Do you still remember people's advice, if you don't sell, you won't lose? Believe in what you choose and we are here with you too, you are not alone. Bitcoin has died so many times in its 14 years of existence and it always resurrects after that and this time is no exception, bitcoin will never let us down.

I started investing in Bitcoin in 2016 and I don't think this year is the worst in crypto history. Maybe OP mentioned this because you and your friend lost a lot of money. I can feel the pain mate. 2018 is my most painful year of investing. Bitcoin's highest price was at $17k+ that year and it went $3k+ before the year ends. It was bad timing because I had my house constructed that year too. I was too worried and I lose hope and sold over 90% of my Bitcoins and other coins. I learned a hard lesson. I would've been a dollar millionaire by now if I haven't sold them and just let my house slow down in construction or even sold it.

Bitcoin and crypto are not really for the weak. Although I also heard about this before, it was just a different feeling once you experienced it. And the common saying that we only need to invest what we can afford to lose is of great value. Maybe if our investments grow a lot already that we cannot afford to lose them anymore, the best thing is to sell part of it so we can stop worrying about it.

Back to the current Bitcoin situation. It will bounce back mate. Its been proven over the years. I will also start with my new DCA starting next month.

I am expecting it to get lower until the end of this year.
I guess I am just used to it that every Ber month or the last couple of months of the year crypto would go down due to the Holidays.
But it is a good thing for those who are planning to accumulate just like me so enjoy every season guys and take advantage of it as much as you could.

What if we don't talk about the worst things but we talk about the good things in Bitcoin. We try to change the habit once in a while in the face of reality.

The name of the journey forward is not backward because backwards is called a setback.
Don't look at Bitcoin for the worst that is happening but make sure that the future of Bitcoin will be more exciting.
To me that's one way of encouraging us to invest more in Bitcoin.

For most people, Bitcoin price is currently at its lowest point, for me it is not.
Current conditions can make people complain to question how to encourage themselves to continue investing in Bitcoin. When Bitcoin hit its highest price, many of us did not feel that Bitcoin was at a high price and still wanted the price even higher.

Invest with money you can afford to lose, and when investing in bitcoin, don't let short-term fluctuations affect your mind. Bitcoin is a long term investment, their volatility is almost non-existent if you zoom out, bitcoins just go up and up in the long run. Worthy rewards only for the last, bitcoin is not a get-rich-quick place.

Nobody will be completely satisfied with the dip, even though some of us who did not have the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin at an early stage can use this as an opportunity to buy Bitcoin as the price is down, but seeing our portfolios go red all the time in this bear market is not encouraging.

This is not the worst percentage wise because Bitcoin lose it value from 20K to 2k to 3K during the Covid-19 hits. People that time that bought from top lose big time than the current market condition. Use a longer time frame to check the price dump history of Bitcoin and don’t focus on the amount of Bitcoin that being loss since the percentage changes of your holdings is much important than the price being decreases on Bitcoin. Your friend can still recover it all and possibly gain profit if he will just hold.

Hold and forget everything. Just get back few years to collect on your investment. Paper loss is not the end of investment.

So you are willing to buy BTC again when it starts to bull/pump? Look at the previous years. Analyze from the beginning of the BTC's journey. This fall, DIP, bear all are the part of the market.
If you loose hope, then I am sorry to say that you are a panic seller. You need to spend more time studying the market situations and act as such.

I assume that your friend experienced this situation for the first time that's why the dude is loosing hope already. Believe me, Most of us here in the forum experienced it and as time goes on it becomes more bearable. Like me, I don't feel that much on this kind of situation we are having.

It's not the worst year, We have this kind of situation every cycle and you should tell your friend that it is normal to have a phase like this in crypto market. We will surely recover but it will take time just like what other bear to bull market we have in the past. I personally treat this as a positive thing, Buying some very much discounted crypto and I plan on holding them until the next bull market arrives. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

Bitcoin early huge dropped in 2022.And reached under $17k.Bitcoin dropped many years but when bitcoin dropped then few month later bitcoin price surprised us.Last year bitcoin bitcoin price big surprised us and bitcoin price reached of all time high $66k+ in 2021.I still believe bitcoin price will be recover again. And i hope bitcoin price will grow up in very next month in December.

Don't panic too much to see the price drop that took everyone by surprise, did you forget that the more severe decline in 2018 mid to early 2019 was clearly a deeper decline than the current decline, so relax if bitcoin still has the price at least still makes you money, if Bitcoin doesn't have a new value we can panic about that situation, so let's just say this is the drama that existed at the time of the previous price decline..

Yes, if you have some extra funds that you have set aside for an investment, you can buy more with it (for long term). Do not worry Bitcoin is not going to die. It's just giving us an opportunity that we should not miss.

We haven't seen the worst yet many more might lose interest especially people thinking of starting up crypto journey who understand how support and resistance work because the decision of the market isn't clear yet. But in real sense this might be a good time to take the risk and invest in Bitcoin. Even if the dip persists it can't return completely to zero neither will it crash but rather a major resistance will uphold price somewhere at the dip maybe around $11k, $12k or $13k but if the price decides to pump from its current price then it becomes green to the buyer.

On what grounds is 2022 the worst year in crypto history? Yes, Bitcoin went down even more, and yes, some will lose hope and will sell, and then invest again when the price is $50k. If you don't believe in Bitcoin and that it will recover, I don't think you should invest in it. After all, there's always a risk that it won't recover, and then people lose money.
But in terms of the worst year, I don't think 2022 qualifies. Even in recent history, look at 2019. Bitcoin was below $5k for the first three months, then between $5k and $10k till June, and then occasionally $11k but largely around $9k for the rest of the year, which then finished at $7k.
In 2022, Bitcoin was at $45k at the beginning, then largely above $40k till April, and then fell to $20k by June but experienced occasional growth up to $24k in August.
In any case, I don't think anything particularly worrisome is happening. I plan to hodl through the bear market and sell occasionally when/if I need money.

Don't encourage yourself to invest. That can be done only with confidence and if you have to ask others to build that up in you it means you're in over your head and should exit.
I'm being brutally honest here but that's how things are, I'm not going to sugarcoat it for you.

I'll tell you how I do it. I have a lot of coins that I bought in 2014 and I'm sure bitcoin is never going back to those levels. I've held in 2017 when the price was 20k and I held in 2020 when it was 3k. Bitcoin going from 19 to 17k doesn't have any impact on me. I've seen it crash from 20k to 10k in a few days in 2018. I'm not going to touch my coin at least until we get back to 50k. If that takes another 2 years so be it, but I know we'll eventually get to a new high.

Those who sweat watching the price fall are people who have too much invested and fear that if they lose it they'll be in deep shit. Don't be that guy.

In these sort of Dips i have simple rule, if you are out of the market, simply invest at this point accept the fact that even if there will be a greater dip you'll not be sure that it's the final one so invest when you see daily or weekly RSI under 30 as it will eventually rise from that point. If you are in the market then stop seeing the market altogether. You'll only end up screwing yourself with more regrets and nothing and if you try to sell to buy later it'll be the biggest mistake as you'll not actually able to buy at the right price and regret later so stay away from the market.
