https://finance.yahoo.com/news/twitter-crypto-head-staff-resign-190633380.html

It is well known fact that a lot of Twitter employees are leaving the company. Now the news that Tess Rinearson, who was made the head of Twitter crypto team has made a tweet stating that he is leaving the company. Many other people in the crypt unit of Twitter space also followed her and announced that they will also be leaving the company. What impact do you think this will have on crypto space in general ? I am sure they must be working on crypto inclusion on the platform in some way and now when they have left the decisions will be delayed in this matter.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

You don't have to look surprised. Musk has introduced a strict pattern to the workplace and clearly left a choice: you don't like it, you leave. Starting with cutting workers monthly 'rest days', stopping those working remotely and laying off workers here and there, what did you expect? I guess Tess had to take the leave option. At least for her peace of mind, heh!

I think Musk would have to back pedal on this rigid control method cause it may cause more mass exodus of not just prominent, but efficient and important workers leaving the company.

I think this is like Elon Musk's selection process to screen employees there. as we know that Elon has very high discipline in terms of work. And he only wants to hire workers who are ready to work hard in his methods. So every employee there has the right to follow the new rules from elon or leave. But it seems that the news circulating is that now more and more employees are deciding to quit. So I don't know either. What steps are taken by Elon? Is it too loud or is it intentional? But to be honest, Elon's move on this one is a little difficult to predict.

We should not forget the fact that the people working in the company were already the most talented people in tech space. Twitter is a very renowned company and it will not hire any unpolished or non qualified person for the job. We do not have exact information regarding this but it is possible that they have recruitment criteria as strict as Google and Facebook. This is how they were able to filter good candidates. Now if all of sudden you start firing these people because of your ego, even new talent which is good at his work will not want to join  such a company. Without good staff, no company can function well and user experience will suffer.

this will be a contradiction between employees and the company and can affect twitter users, it is very dangerous if workers choose to resign from their jobs, the usual service provided by twitter will be messy and will definitely cause a lot of complaints from users. Maybe it's true that Elon Musk uses the same method of disciplining workers at Twitter as he used for the electric car company. None other than the effectiveness and efficiency of the company's fund management.
but social media companies are of course different from Tesla or SpaceX, Twitter requires monitoring once 24 hours/day.

I don't know what situation Rinearson and Hamdi Allam experienced so they decided to resign.

Is there something wrong with Elon Musk's ultimatum?

Yaa right ..I thought about that too. I really don't understand Elon's current actions. because even a figure like Tess Rinearson is needed in the crypto twitter project.

Actually concerns and complaints from Twitter users are now happening. and it's true, if more employees at twitter leave it will certainly affect the twitter service which can be very bad. even I think recruiting back people who are already proficient in this field will also be difficult.

I think Elon should also be able to differentiate how to treat people in different industrial fields. because twitter is not like tesla. both run in different ways. but as we know apart from being disciplined, Elon also has a smart mind. so I'm going to take a further look at what's coming to twitter and what Elon's real goals are.

Two things actually prompted him to start the sack like those against him when he wanted buying the platform. The other is a clarification made him that he need to relax few colleagues because of the estimated $4m loss per day.

Now I feel those quitting now are actually doing it to save there ass before he comes to them and others were against his ruthlessness. Although there are few he his persuading to stay.

Concerns the tech guys leaving and how it will affect cryptocurrency. If they are true enthusiasts they will find other means to promote it. Nonetheless I don't see this having any significant impact on the crypto space

not sure how this news going to affect crypto. even the doge fans are not even aware there is a Twitter crypto team.

elon will not care either if they all resign, he may be happy for what is going to happen. once BTC and whichever coins he'd fused to twitter, there will be lesser people to pay. he wants to automate things and will just run a program to operate.

Their departure won't affect the space. Who are they anyway? There are a lot of capable people that will always replace them. The crypto integration didn't even have a significant impact to the market as far as I know. How many regular or non-crypto users heard of twitter's tipping feature using bitcoin?

It would only have an impact on the Crypto-currency twitter community, to be honest I don't see how this affects crypto-currency in any way, yes twitter has lots of Crypto influencers and promoters who and even more impactful than those people mentioned.

The bottom line here is that we pay attention to Elon musk so much anything that has to do with him we think it would impact the crypto-currency community. In my own opinion it would only impact twitter.

twitter was a social platform meaning its work ethic was social too, relaxed work place, flexi time etc.

elon wanted to turn it into a conveyor belt efficient code machine,

i dont think he really understands the difference between telsa vs twitter when it comes to work environments

getting rid of, and then stressing other to leave. who knew the code inside and out.. will cause issues. trying to recruit new talent to replace a missing work force and getting them upto speed to review code and learn the function flows of different tasks is not something new recruits learn in a day.

so it could leave twitter open to attack for a small amount of time(weeks/months) depending on how long it continues with gaps in work force

then it comes to having spare cash to cover salaries for a while, whilst he restructures and finds new methods of revenue streams. might cause issues far longer that just getting the code kept upto date
..
i personally thought elon getting into twitter was a huge business mistake. it does not align with all his other projects that are interlinked to space colonisation stuff
(solar, e-cars, rockets, tunnels, biometrics (health monitoring) and AI)
twitter just seemed outside this realm of usefulness tech that wont be used for his colonisation/asteroid mining end goal

It will also not have any effect on the Twitter crypto community, it is just a resignation and any other person can take charge of the positions that they resigned from.
It is something that is expected in every company when a new CEO emerges with new principles and rules, some people are forced to resign who cannot cope with the current situation of the company.
There's nothing much about resignation apart from change of idea and work pattern, even here in the forum even if theymos has to resign and hand over the administration to another person it will still not make forum not to move forward, what happens is that the approach to administration will be different from what we have been seeing for some years.

Elon Musk was able to get all those nerds working for him and build Tesla as well as SpaceX so its probably going to be less than a week for him to find compatible replacement to run the whole Twitter. Aside from that, we all know how Elon really want to support crypto ( or probably just doge specifically ) so pretty sure that twitter will remains as one of the crypto safe space

Twitter has a problem with bot accounts promoting crypto frauds. I'm just now learning they had a "crypto head" because seemingly crypto presence on Twitter was only relegated to those bot accounts manipulating the algorithm and appearing at the top to replies of popular tweets.

If this was the best Twitter had to offer in regards to their crypto division, then perhaps it's in everyone's interest that he leave and someone else take his place that would actually be able to integrate crypto into twitter in a meaningful way.

We should not forget the fact that the people working in the company were already the most talented people in tech space.

I doubt this argument.  Not because you are working in a huge company, you are the most talented one.  Besides, I do believe they are part of the people that were terminated by Elon.  In a company process of termination, you were given the option to resign to save face.

There are lots of talent everywhere, and many of them are freelancers.  So I believe there will be no shortage of applicant if ever Twitter open up for hiring staff.

Elon musk is a business man that likes being on top and being there you have to put the toes of every employee on its tip to be able to get out what he wants. It is understandable that workers will leave and even new workers will still be fired until he stables himself and making the global reformation of tweeter. New spirit and energy is the beauty of it all and you can only be successful with people ready to be under you and ready to support.

This is what it is confusing me as well, I can understand if some employees got fired as a way to try to increase profit margins during this transitional period in which Elon began to understand how to make Twitter a profitable enterprise, but he is firing people left and right for no reason at all, those people were already very good at what they do, and if they had knowledge about the internal code of the company then competitors like Facebook could recruit them immediately to get to know those secrets, so I cannot help to think that he is making a mistake with these moves.

I didn't even know Twitter has crypto team and what's that mean anyway? What were they doing? It says "Under Rinearson’s leadership, Twitter had implemented a tool allowing crypto art collectors to link a nonfungible token to their profile pictures, distinguishable by their hexagonal shape on users’ accounts." what a big news lol. It looks like Elon did the right thing again, they didn't even work for anything useful. Twitter should cut down unnecessary bills. If they don't work on implementing micro payments or something else really crypto related, then there is no need for them.

Twitter has been loosing a lot of workers, many have been fired and others are deciding that before they get fired and it goes down into record, they just rather quit and prevent having it in their credentials that they were fired from their previous job. As people are resigning, if the positions remain vacant, they will still have people that will apply those positions and be employed for it, One man's loss is another man's gain.

Musk already showed us how asshole he can be in this situation, but Twitter's team is somewhat at fault too. Shows how the other party is oppressive while the other exhibits wokeness on another level. Pretty sure Elon will still get the manpower he needs to keep Twitter afloat, although not in a way that the previous engineers did. Luckily for the former Twitter team, they already have the experience and credentials if they wish to seek for another job. As for Elon, well it shows that he doesn't have the leadership skills to keep his team intact. It always had to be someone else other than him.
