You are underestimating his talent, don't forget that he ran Tesla or Space very well and was the richest man in the world at a relatively young age. Twitter has been loosing a lot of workers, many have been fired and others are deciding that before they get fired and it goes down into record, they just rather quit and prevent having it in their credentials that they were fired from their previous job. He bought the company using his Tesla shares but he actually put the employees in a chaotic environment. He could have remained the workstaff as it is but when he slowly replaced the heads of the team, everything just went downhill from there.

You are underestimating his talent, don't forget that he ran Tesla or Space very well and was the richest man in the world at a relatively young age. The problem with that is the fact that Tesla was not his company, it was someone elses, so it was a company already doing fine, and lacked financials due to building a car costing a ton of money, you need to hire so many people and own so many things all of which costs money, and you can't just sell the car right away, you need to first perfect it.

So, he overtook it, and bought it from the owners and acted as if he was the founder, which he is not, he just some rich guy who took it.
