It is well known fact that a lot of Twitter employees are leaving the company. Now the news that Tess Rinearson, who was made the head of Twitter crypto team has made a tweet stating that he is leaving the company. Many other people in the crypt unit of Twitter space also followed her and announced that they will also be leaving the company. What impact do you think this will have on crypto space in general ? I am sure they must be working on crypto inclusion on the platform in some way and now when they have left the decisions will be delayed in this matter.

Elon Musk makes twitter look more ridiculous every single day he is in charge and has potentially done irreparable harm to the brand. Mark Zuckerberg must be absolutely loving the extra free traffic as people flock over to Facebook which seems like the next largest application. Twitter went from being a pristine place to work and broadcast from your CV, to toxic waste that is sinking anyone still connected to it. They've already lost over half of their advertisers, which is the main revenue source, so it will likely now be draining money from Elon's pockets day after day - so at least so good has come from this psychopathic maniac getting hold of it in the end.

I do not usually listen to some news pertaining company lay offs, but those numbers are not a joke even though I had read previously that back in 2014, Microsoft even laid off 18k employees. I guess it was part of cutting losses anyways. If Twitter saved $500M for that then I wonder how much worth more was lost back when Musk has not yet bought Twitter.

From how Twitter is starting to change now starting from the blue tick plan, I wonder if people would still continue to use it since I recall trends in my news feed that people are now quitting Twitter due to the recent events.

Twitter employees were fired, so the remaining head staffs probably resigning themselves before they are fired so their name may have some positive impact. But since this is about whether the people into the crypto inclusion of crypto into their platform was not anymore then it won't create that much effect to be honest but a single tweet from Elon will have atleast 10x impact than Twitter including crypto into their platform.

Elon is one of the smart business man so he isn't going to leave that stranded, if I am not wrong he will make move at the right time probably at the bullish season.

The company layoffs are bad if you consider how many current employees would lose their jobs and have to find other ways to look for work, but I think they were just fired that way. They were paid in 2 months' worth of instalments, which alone demonstrates how fortunate they were to work for Twitter. If nothing was paid, he owns his company, and don't think there were conditions attached to the transfer of the company to the new manager.

The $500 million for workers is just too much for a new firm that has debts and liabilities to clear. Additionally, some of the employees were performing remote work that might have been done within the company, there is more to all the sack talk than people are discussing.

On the contrary, I see him doing very well with twitter, the number of users is continuously reaching a record. The fact that they lost a lot of advertisers is also understandable because now Elon owns a lot of companies in different fields, the businesses that stopped using the twitter advertising service are mostly competitors of Elon.
Instead, Elon is taking a different approach that is targeting users instead of just focusing on monetizing ads, which is a step I don't like, but it's business, so it's not surprising. Everyone has a very different business mindset.

Yeah I got you there, it is really going to be painful to be one of the company's lay off. I would be even emotionally drained if I was fired from any of the FAANG companies though Twitter is not mentioned, but you get the idea. Surely the employees that were laid off would still find work at no time, since they already had that dream of an experience to work from a popular tech companies and any other non popular tech companies might consider them if not overqualified for their experiences in the industry.

The recent layoffs still surely leaves a mark for the company regardless.

Layoffs or getting fired is one of the risk on where workers or employees might able to experience but for those people who had just that experience came from a known or popular company then they would really be

having that edge compared to those who do have none or simply does have that good experience which would really be a good thing if ever they would be finding another job.
When you are just a worker then its neither gets fired or resign is the reason on why you had lost you job but these people are really that confident that they could find another place
which they could really utilize up their experience and skills. We dont know on what their actual reason but pretty sure that they dont like Elon on the ones who had been handling out.  Cheesy
So its a personal choice and its up to theirs whether they would stay or not.

When Twitter was officially bought by Elon Musk, of course, there would be many desired changes, he bought for $ 44 billion and of course, as a businessman, Elon Musk hopes to get RoI soon, the extreme plan that Twitter will present may conflict with the ideas of most current employees so they choose to resign.

Or also maybe they are most like doesn't like by the new owner that's why don't see the working environment good for them that's why they decide to quit. Since if they see there new management love to retain them for sure they will not resign knowing how hard to find another job in times of recession and for sure also the job in twitter is competitive so maybe there's internal conflict on why those officials decide to quit on their respective positions.

Depends on the job they were doing. You are talking about a senior developer responsible for a big feature to be implemented? You can fire him all you want, he will walk out the door, pick up his phone and get another job in 15 minutes. You are talking about a junior marketing design guy?

I can bet you that it will take a long time for that person to find a job, even with twitter on their resume because designers are dime a bunch and many smaller places uses freelancer and the big ones have enough of them to hire from the top of the line. Hence, just because you worked at twitter doesn't mean that you will be working at a great place all the time.

The usual thing is when there is an overhaul of the management or change of the owner usually starts with the number of employees who come out, I work several times and there have been many employees who come out when the company changes the owner, it doesn't matter because the large company can always develop and will not be difficult to Looking for a replacement for employees who have come out despite having a good reputation.

Elon Musk certainly has a vision and ambition to immediately Roi or even profit when buying Twitter, when the idea is delivered to employees, many feel different views so they choose to resign. And of course this is a difficult choice because it has to leave a world -class company like Twitter.

They're probably against plans of Elon for the company. He already fired thousands of employees which is unacceptable. I guess they're not happy with his leadership and because of this, it will be hard for Twitter Crypto to adjust again. Elon could find new employees but it will take time for them to adjust. Having new management is quite difficult to deal with so their choice is to leave than suffer.

Most of them were fired by Elon, not resigned, and I don't find it too confusing when a new director tries to fire old employees and find a way to replace his employees. This is a normal thing that happens in businesses and I would call it a tradition in companies.  He is the best businessman in the world so I think he definitely has a plan and preparation for twitter. He is changing it, let's wait and see if it will be another success or failure for twitter.

It comes to no surprise. The paradigm shift he imposed onto the company's development team is just something that is too drastic and yet takes little to no effect on the general user-experience. If anything I am seeing more and more bots and ads where he promised a massive decimation in the number of bots on everyone's timeline is underway. Musk is a good engineer and a businessman for that matter, but I don't think someone who has literally little to no social skills, let alone the means to empathize to other people is the right fit to sit atop one of the biggest social media sites as of now. We've seen what utter chaos twitter has been these past few weeks, twitter accounts getting banned for impersonating him when he promised a "comedy is legal again" approach. Man can joke about his opps but couldn't take a joke against him.

Many employees have been fired since Elon took over as owner of Twitter, but it usually happens in a company because old employees are no longer needed or replaced with new employees. I wish twitter was better in Elon's hands, but so far there haven't been any significant improvements to twitter other than implementing an $8 fee for the blue stick.

Not only that, maybe there are employees not being fired by Elon but just decided to quit their job because they don't like their new boss.

And then there are employees just getting fired even if they like their job, but they don't have a choice.

And then Elon admitted that he lay off a lot of employees to cut cost because he just spent tons of money acquiring it so the operational expense should be cut right away. And then the $8 fee for being blue badge is another way to make money ASAP.

I just read - CNN also fired so many employees
This is common. and inflation and recession is for sure - one should have a side hustle to save oneself from the depression and anxiety of job layoff

Don't equate the company where you work with a company like Twitter Cheesy. Because in a company like Twitter it's not the employees who leave on their own with the intention of their own heart, but they are fired by the new owner for some reason. And it will never be the same as another company or like the company where you work, because you have to be able to distinguish employees who were fired from those who left themselves.

Elon Musk certainly has a vision and ambition to immediately Roi or even profit when buying Twitter, when the idea is delivered to employees, many feel different views so they choose to resign. And of course this is a difficult choice because it has to leave a world -class company like Twitter.
Employees also have a choice when the owner of Twitter changes with a concept that may no longer be as usual so they choose their own path by resigning. And people like Elon Musk I don't think will influence or falter on this because he still has the ability to bring new employees into the Twitter company.
