World cup final was one of the unpredictable game in the World cup because the two countries have their tough squad but only the best wins. The world cup hosted by Qater was difficult for tough countries in the world. Brazil was my favorite and aiming them to go far, at least they would have played in the semi or final but got eliminated in the quarter final which was totally unacceptable to the fans. They have good quality players but always failed each season with either hard luck in winning game. Brazil have the defend, the speedsters and the playmakers in the team but I think their best wasn't good enough. Argentina's win brought me so much joy. When France almost snatched the cup from Argentina with their equalizing goal in the second half i was wondering if the 23 years old Mbappé will have to win the world cup two times in a roll without any opposition but was delighted when the penalty shoot ended in favour of Argentina and finally Messi won the only cup he hasn't won in his career he can even decide to retire anytime soon.

That was indeed the most interesting and thrilling final onw could ever watch . Game changed at 80th minute and after that France and Argentina keep on competing goals and at the end penalty shootout helped in final result and winner.
But Mbappe's efforts will be remembered for a long time as he has done everything for thier victory.

Mbappe effort was great. The match was between Argentina and Mbappe.  If not for Mbappe it would have been very for Argentina to win in the second half.  Mbappe the reason why France were able to equalize the game in the second half. Mbappe effort will never be forgotten.

Absolutely, Mbappe was incredible. If he would have been playing for Argentina then they would have won 6 - 0 easily.

Not many French players were playing at the level that Mbappe was playing, and it showed clearly in the field.

Messi played very well, and ended up winning the trophy. Good on him.

Mbappe will have multiple other opportunities, and will probably surpass Messi in a few years anyway.

I guess that a lot of us were expecting to see messi vs CR7 at the finals. It would be amazing and story would be written around it.

This would have been unlikely, unlikely based on the part of Portugal as it actually turned out but, a world cup final between Messi and Ronaldo would have been epic. Two GOATs, locked in an epic of having a chance to end there national careers with a trophy that have eluded both and most of all, one gets to deprive the other of the opportunity, it would have been sweet savory for history.

Like I am not entirely sure if anyone over 7 feet tall could ever be a good football player, could be good but not a legendary one, it requires a limit, somewhere at the bottom like Messi or at the top like Haaland would be max amount. All in all some players are born with some extra talent than others, and you can't change that and then you have the ones that take that god given talent and work super hard on top of it to become legends.

Besides talents and shape, there is also a mysterious element that take one side or another to the perfect opportunity of scoring in field. There are so many variables that the game isn't exclusively about technique, but also about luck or something similar, that can't be explained. Because how could Saudi Arabia overcome Argentina, and Argentina still reach the finals and win the Cup, if it were all about technique?

There is so much adrenaline and uncertains during the match and players still position themselves in perfect spots to receive the ball and shoot directly to the goal in a second or less. I mean, they don't program anything, it just happens.

Yes, I do agree that Cristiano Ronaldo came late in that last match and that decision cost them the world cup. This will be talked for a long time and people will debate that if Cristiano Ronaldo was in the starting eleven the result would have been different.

Nevertheless, it's all over now and Argentina is the winner of the 2022 Fifa world cup. Portugal should forget about this now and move on. They may learn lesson from this mistake and always start the game with best eleven available.

Brazil's mistake was not bringing their senior players. they tend to play individually, rather than as a team. their teamwork doesn't really look more solid, we can compare the Brazil vs South Korea match. how players become selfish, want each other to score goals even though on the one hand his teammates have free opportunities to score goals. Vini Jr is no exception, he wants to show his talent and ambition as one of the best wingers but they forget that they play as a team not as individuals. like against Switzerland, also Cameron, especially against Croatia. It seems clear, there are many problems in the body of the Brazilian squad.

Argentina goalkeeper Martínez won the Golden Boot one of the reasons he made a late save.  There were only 28 seconds left in overtime.  If that goal had not been saved by Martinez, Argentina would never have achieved the dream of the World Cup in Qatar.  Because France was ahead by 1 goal, while Martinez worked hard to save pelanty of goals.  Due to which Golden Boot gets martinez.
