Todays world's economy is not so good. High rate of inflation and many bad things are happen, also cryptocurrency market seems not so good either. But I think it is better to hold bitcoin rather than fiat as government seems that can't do something significant improvement on economic growth. Unlike my expectations for the world economy, I have good expectations to cryptocurrency especially bitcoin. Bitcoin has a good thing that called a "Halving" where it usually cause it price to rise, while other fiat don't have anything to expect except inflation. You are missing one detail. If there is no rise in the economy, there will be no rise in cryptocurrency. Don't even expect the global economy to stagnate and cryptocurrencies to miraculously grow despite rising inflation and a recessionary economy. Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will begin to grow when the global economy begins its recovery and liquidity from central banks begins to flow back into it. Part of this liquidity will flow into the crypto industry. Without this, there will be nothing to pump up the price of cryptocurrencies, it will not magically grow.

The demand to invest in the crypto was coming when economic was in good condition. People were not facing crisis and they have got additional money to invest in the crypto. I think that you must understand that if the bad impact from crisis was making crypto get less demand by the unique investors that frequently came to the crypto. There will always be a bad and good side from crypto. It can be said that if this time i can't expect something big from crypto until the crisis will be ended and peace will be coming back again.
People are preferring to hold cash rather than crypto caused by it's not so volatile like crypto and it can be used in urgent situation as well.

The reality is we still need fiat for our daily transactions if we're living in a country that's not wholly adopting bitcoin. But as per investments, we both agree that bitcoin is better than sitting your money in fiat.
The world is experiencing a lot as of the moment, coming from inflation and its being driven by the pandemic, war and other crises that's being startled somewhere else like in the FTX debacle. I expect things to be lighter soon, it won't be as low as this forever and it's okay since the crypto market just came from the top and ATH.

Yes, you can become a millionaire. cryptocurrencies are an investment source of huge returns. Given the current momentum and interest, cryptocurrencies are growing profusely day after day, so I agree with you and OP. Bitcoin is a safer and more profitable coin in the long run and in light of the collapse of the global economy and the collapse of the crypto market, the solution is not to panic sell and hold Bitcoin until the next halving or until the market recovers. It is always difficult to give a price prediction, but I expect that the bear market will not last long, so we have to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many other Trusted coins and hold them in our wallets and wait.

Fiat money has never meant to be a store of value except for short time purposes. No rich people in the world have their wealth as fiat money in bank accounts and comparing BTC to fiat money is like comparing apples to volvos, they are meant for different things.

Bitcoin is a part of economy same ways as gold and art or any property is part of economy. It doesn't live in a bubble and is very much affected by economy. So if you don't have expectations for world economy, expect it to leak on crypto too.

Nothing to expect from crypto. It will be going up if the time to go up will come and it may go down if there will be another FUD or bad news to come. The output from the market is really unpredictable at this moment and i believe i just trust the process that is still going on in the crypto.
The world economy has very big impact to the crypto. The crypto itself was following the stock market and that makes me feel disappointed as a few years ago crypto was not always following the stock market. It seems like that if we will be in the sideways mode until next year.
You can expect a good thing from bitcoin but the question is can bitcoin go up when stock market was doing the reverse thing? The fud must stop to raise the interest and that will make crypto stable.

Is it just now that the economy turned out so bad? What's the real definition of a bad economy based on your view?

Hodling bitcoin can't be compared to holding a fiat if that's what you mean here. There should be no fiat vs crypto here.

If you think you have the patience to hodling bitcoin for a long then good for you. Just go with the flow and focus on your goal.

For what? He just said crypto and for the question if how long or how much then the answer will already depend on us and not on the market. The market can change from time to time but if you already now what you are doing then you can't be affected by it in a negative way.

If you are in for short term only, you will sold your coins and make a profit just before the price dumps but if you are in for long term, you may skip selling for now but you will only hodl and buy more coins. Death of coins is possible but that can only happen for the most cryptos because they don't have a good purpose on why they are built. There is no point of hodling or using them.

I remember that I got acquainted with cryptocurrencies in the middle of 2016 just before the previous growth. Yes, it was insanely cool because I was able to make good money. After there was another growth four years later, and now we entered the next cycle, which means we can assume that by the end of 2025 we will have another flight to the moon. These are my expectations, yes, I expect a new rapid growth, but only when the crisis subsides. As for money and cryptocurrencies, my personal opinion is that it is better to keep funds in cryptocurrencies, for example, in BTC and in fiat. Why fiat? The fact is that you must have fiat money for life, since you will still need to make purchases in the store, and as practice has shown, it is cash that becomes necessary when, for example, the electricity is turned off. I went through this and now I understand that fiat money is also needed. I know your statement makes sense. When we have a recession, people will focus on fulfilling their basic necessities, they won't have the intention to put their money into crypto investment. But how about we have bullrun in 2021 (last year)? I believe everyone still remembered that we experienced Covid-19 pandemic at that time, the world economy was decreasing much, and stocks market was crushed badly. On the contrary, crypto market experienced bullrun, BTC made a new ATH and many altcoins skyrocketed. Isn't this the fact that crypto market doesn't fully depend on the world economic situation? Please let me know if there is something that I still don't know about this.

If recession takes place, people will run towards some highly secure asset class and Bitcoin and crypto is one of them. So whenever such a situation takes place, then Bitcoin and other crypto will undoubtedly outperform other asset classes and the gains will be extraordinary just like we had in the old bull runs.

The idea of involving in crypto is good but don't purely our future on it. Make it well-balanced.

Besides, if you will just hold, how will you support your daily expenses? Fiat might be losing its value over time but it doesn't mean they are basically useless. Instead of treating fiat as a non-sense financial aspect, why not take advantage of their good use while holding bitcoin at the same time?

Try to think outside the box, or much better if we will totally removed the box.

Another question to rise about this subject is the fact that BNB is holding a good chunk of tokens on it's BSC as well, which means if the coin itself crashes then the tokens in it could crash as well, or could have trouble. Which means that we should probably focus a bit towards having something much bigger, which is keeping BNB and also ETH alive to keep all other tokens on their chain alive as well.

Other coins with their chains do not have the same thing, but that doesn't change the fact that they are too small, they wouldn't crash the market, but BNB and ETH could, so those two should either be always kept up, or should get rid of being so central focus of token world.

What we are experiencing now in the cryptocurrency market is not only there, it's a global effect because even if you take a look at the stock market, they are also bloody.
So for me, seems this is normal in cryptocurrency and I agree with you as buying Bitcoin is better than buying any random altcoins. I already experienced this before, during bear market season, don't attract those super sale altcoins because later on, you will realize that it is much better to buy Bitcoin than those altcoins.

Traditionally investors move towards assets they consider safe like fiat or bonds, and it makes sense as during an economic crisis there are many other assets in which it would be a very bad idea to have your money invested in them, however for this attitude to change the crisis will need to be way bigger than what we have right now, and if it were to happen then that is the moment when people could try to find a store of value and begin to use gold and bitcoin as well.

My hope about cryptocurrencies may have been answered from what I experienced when I found out about it. I get a lot of things here that I don't find in fiat currency. For example, the freedom I feel here is one I may never find. That's what I feel.
However, if the question is hope for the future, I hope for more than what I've got so far. It can be in the form of profit or something else. But the profit in question is not in the form of wealth but in other things, because if it is related to wealth in my opinion it will not be good for me, even though it is legitimate to expect it from cryptocurrency.

You talk about halving, which is still very far, we have the war in Europe which is greatly affected all world economies and market. And there are unexpected news like the FTX collapse and Terra Luna.

So at the end of the year and 2023, crypto market will still be in bad shape, sort of a crypto winter as others say.

But it doesn't mean that it's the end, as far as my experience goes, this is the perfect time to accumulate, everything from bitcoin the the rest of solid altcoins because they are cheap and then simply hold on them and wait for the next bull run.
