The problem with Utopia P2P Ecosystem is very simple - there are not enough people, who use it. If there are let's say 300 - 400 active users, it's nothing. Even this forum have a lot more people. So the best way would be just finish Utopia project.

Another thing that caught my attention about the Utopia desktop version is that there are games, there are chess games and also poker, for poker games, I see that we need $CRP to play (for betting purposes), I think that it would be great if in the future there is a Utopia campaign on board Gambling to introduce this game, LOL.

I am not sure how many active users but I am sure that it is increasing and the Utopia were doing a great job in improving and promoting the project.  About the peers (Network Eye) they are around 14-18 as I logged in it keeps the system, all transaction, network activity, etc. to be safe. As for @Edwardard a 2FA in-app program is also a good idea.

Anyway, the Crypton currency of Utopia is already accepted at 1800+ online stores.

Yes, I know it. The most important job of the Utopia team right now is just Marketing, too many good projects out there have failed due to a lack of movement from the marketing side. We hope to see significant developments from the marketing side of the Utopia ecosystem in the coming months. I also intend to invest some of my money in the $CRP token.

I installed Utopia P2P software on my computer and it's good to see there are so many things in one software, but this could be confusing and overwhelming for many new members who want to try it.
I recommend going through welcome tour first and selecting dark or light theme you like most, and tweak settings for more customization.
I like the look of classic Utopia mail style but I think this can't be used to send normal emails and it can be used only for communicating with other Utopia members.
They say everything is encrypted so Utopia can be used for encrypted text, voice and e-mail communication, but I didn't try testing this to see how it works.
There is no central servers and IP addresses are not revealed but I think this need to be more simple for people to use it.
I couldn't found on desktop how I can make voice calls to other members, so maybe this is available only on mobile, or it's hidden somewhere in this clunky interface.
Maybe this is IM, so I added few members from forum and sent them request and message, but I received no answer so far.
This could be great if it works well on mobile phones, as secure private alternative for WhatsApp, Viber or Telegram.
There is no central servers with Utopia so it could be slower and I want to see if it works for making voice calls with someone in other country without problems or breaks.
Utopia needed a lot of memory on my computer so maybe it needs some optimizations to work on older computers.

I created new card with 3 CRP but I didn't manage to spend this low amount on any of the websites I saw.
If I do this in next few days I will update this post with more details and how it worked for me.

I visited some channels and joined FIFA world cup Qatar 2022 that was more active recently, and it's similar like discord or telegram.
I can talk with other people, send files and I see there was prediction competition for winning 500 CPR if you correctly predicted world cup winner.

There is two games available chess and poker, and I can play this with other members if I select my contacts.
Maybe this could be useful for creating some competition tournaments in future.

Utopia is sometimes working slower, so it's better to close tabs that you are not using.
I want to see adding P2P exchange inside Utopia if possible but this would make it even slower, so maybe releasing as separate app would be good to have.
Maybe Utopia team can create light and full version Utopia, or add beginner and expert button, to hide all extra features that confuse even experienced users sometimes.

UTOPIA P2P Ecosystem 💎 Review:

Launching the Apps:  No problem nor delay during the application launch.  Can log in easily and smoothly.  The welcome pop-up makes it easy for new users to get a hint about the application.  The presence of Help even makes it easier to understand and get familiarized with the application.

Language: By default, the Utopia Language is in English but you can change it according to the available translation.  The application needs to restart to be able to implement the changes.
Available languages are: English, Arabic, Bengali, Chinese, Czech, Dutch, Filipino, French German, Greek, Hindi, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malayalam, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese.


User Interface: 
Theme: The default application UI theme is white and green.  There are 4 theme choices you can select depending on your preference.  The 4 themes are:

Classic Light

Light

Dark

Classic Dark

Font:  Surprisingly, the application is equipped with an option to change the size of the font.  This is very good for people who have poor sight.  They can just change the size so that users can easily read the fonts.



Hotkeys:  Configurable hotkeys bring convenience to the user since they can configure it according to their liking.


Audio:  Users can record an audio maximum of 10 min. Honestly, I do not know how can this function helps.

Sounds Notification: The application assigned different sound notifications in every function so that users can easily distinguish what kind of activity happened on the application.  This is very handy because users can easily identify what happened via sounds.

API:  It is always a good thing to have automation ready for an app.

Search Function:  This will always come in handy.

UWallet: It is quite unique and has lots of function other than receiving and sending crypton.  With UWallet we can create Crypto Card, it is convenient because we can send and receive crypton without revealing our public key.  The crypto card is customizable so we can design it according to our liking.  The minimum fee is 3 CRP while when customizing it with 4 initial letter of our choice between A-F and 1-8 the maximum fee is 48 CRP



As usual, there is a send and request Crypton function.  There is also a function called uVoucher where we can create and activate vouchers.  A good function if we love giveaways.  We don't have to step out of our comfort zone and go out and buy gift cards when we can just use the uVoucher to create vouchers and use it as an alternative for gift card giveaways.

The uWallet also gives information about Mining.  It is the function of the apps where we can delegate proof of stake and earn some CRP in return.  To be able to participate in mining, we need at least 32 CRP for one mining thread and we can create multiple mining threads as long as we have Crypton for it.

uMail:  Serves as an email where we can receive messages.  This is essential because notices from Utopia Crypton exchange always go in this function.   In order to send uMail, we need to register a contact first using their public key.  And to be able to register the person, it needs a person's authorization.  It is a good thing to prevent spam mail messages.

uIM: It works as a messenger, we can send chat messages to people and even join a channel.

There are also varieties of tools that can be used to enhance a user's experience.  The application enable us to setup a Tor browser via Idyll browser.  We need to set it up to make it work though.  You can find how to set up the network from the Help guide.  It is quite easy to understand how things work in the Utopia P2P ecosystem.  There are lots of functions to tackle and it will take weeks to months of testing before we can fully understand the functions of Utopia P2P.

Among these functions, it is worth mentioning the wallet's crypto card and voucher which I think is one of the unique functions of the application.  It is normal for a wallet to have a send and request function but having the ability to create cards and uVoucher is very innovative IMO.  Another thing is the linking of Utopia P2P Ecosystem in creating an account to Crypton exchange is a breeze.  I don't have to provide an email address or any contact number except for the public key and designated password.  Activation is easy too because it will be given via IM (messenger). The application also has a built-in game where we can play with other users of the application.

At first glance, the wallet seems very complicated to use but after some minutes we can easily familiarize ourselves with the GUI.

My Review:
i tested all the features and functions. i mentioned some of the minor issues below i hope by circumventing these platform will make more room to grow.

User Interface and UX:
--->At first glance it looks, a little bit old fashioned as new platforms in the market comes with better color grading, animation schemes to keep the UI attractive. just my own observation. i know good things take time but project seems to me very old concept so i think it's time to compete in better UI and break its own record. Overall this UI also looks fine. But make it little attractive too.
 

---> whenever i slide my cursor on it the lists do not open up automatically until i press one click on one of them. After clicking, it automatically opens all other. it would be more easy for users to access these option if the need of click will eliminate. One more thing there is not even a slight animation to confirm either you take your cursor on the button or not. But until i click any of them everything works completely fine. i hope u got my point.



---> This Box comprises of groups is very laggy. i don't know that it's on my end or is it a real problem it would be nice if scrolling down and up feels fast not lag. as i am mentioning these issues in User interface section because i think it's related to UI issues. and there is one more thing which i found annoying. If i set my status to offline i will not be able to join any groups here i know it's a online system working concurrently but i hope it could work as fine even i change my status to "offline"



Technical Issues i faced
People tend to use light things even in the era of fast technology. i can sacrifice my anonymity if i do not feel comfort in Utopia because it consumes a lot of memory and bandwidth. it's just my personal review so, As above UI feels old fashioned and back-end codes also consumes alot of memory so i checked that if i am not using mining bots than where my memory is going. as in the mining bot they said only "memory and Bandwidth will be used in mining" so, i hope making this platform light is possible.



---> I think it's a spelling mistake as there is space between meaning {mean ing} on the main website. as i was reading them and thought it would not look professional if these mistakes are find out. so i hope they may correct it soon. Just to avoid confusion. if it's not a spelling mistake then i am sorry as according to my context of interpreting the line space is additional there.



--->uMaps are not showing any background map. they only show locations of channels on clicking the "number" of "pin icon" and i thought that Utopia aims to provide total anonymity then why showing location or coordinates of channels creations. It should also be hidden as per anonymity. If its fine then maybe a background map would look good here as it's attractive. {I like the idea of showing channels on map but look outdated in UI}



---> idyll browser was not showing any website even the ones listed on the Utopia website in Merchant section. i do not know either browser is functioning or not but it wasn't working on my end.

Display problem on my main laptop:
i also faced some issue in viewing the full display of Utopia app on my HP Elitebook g4 laptop. when i set resolution from 1920*1080 to 1280*1024. i hope you got my point.
Here is the pic of my laptop from G4 where i face this issue Now i am on another laptop testing it. Here by default my resolutions on current working laptop are 1366*768. [ it would be nice to overcome this issue ]


Things i like in Utopia
1: Public key and uNS
Concept of public key and uNS to search friends is really awesome as it provides total anonymity and quickness of search friends or clients becomes more easy with uNS
2: 4 types of Themes
"Dark Theme, Classic  Dark Theme, Light and Classic Light" all of them are great themes in sense of cryptography and anonymity
3: Tab Settings:
we can add wallets, channels tab and channel manager in our tabs setting to quickly access it.
4: Crypto Cards:
Customizable Utopia cards to use in buying and selling things and services at merchants is astonishing.
5: Hotkeys option
Setting up of hotkeys according to needs is very relaxing as we have to type 2 or 3 keys and our required tool or option will open easily.

List of likeness is too long i hope my review about Utopia will help it to grow.

Conclusion: Overall idea of the Utopia platform is really unique and promising. They tools like ubrowser, uwallet, email, mining, etc. all of them are great products but need some tuning to keep them fresh and competitive. Changing the Layout from "view option is very great as it keeps the spirit up. Plus dark and classic mode are also great options. Overall Utopia is great in all fields and getting there.

I came to know about Utopia from Bitcointalk Forum. I have visited their site https://u.is/en/ and then click on Download. Once the download is complete I created my account on the app. Once created my account I stored my private key, public key, and seeds. I have seen some problems in Utopia and also I have seen several good things in Utopia.

Problem:

It is a screenshot of the login page of the Utopia app. From here we can log in via username and password. Usually, almost all the app/website that requires a username and password for login should have a forgotten password option but it has not had such an option. So, If we forget the password and we don't have a seed/private key we don't have any option to recover our account. I think the Utopia team should create an option to recover passwords.

2nd thing is that they have the "remember me" option but if we sign out and/or we restart our laptop/desktop then we need to enter our password to log in. But the "remember me" option stands for not entering the password every time. So, I think the Utopia team should take care of this option.

But on Utopia, it has many good features from where we can receive/send Crypton tokens, and hopefully think more tokens might be added soon. Via Utopia, we can also stake our Crypton token where we can receive a "proof of stake" reward each month without buying any masternood or something. The reward will be based on the existing Crypton token on the wallet. Do not need to run anything to accept this reward.

The most important thing which attracted my attention is Utopia providing crypto cards only by taking 3 Crypton which is equivalent to 3$. It is too low a charge for issuing a crypto card. It looks like below image:


Games:
In Utopia, there is now only two games. They are:
1. Utopia Chess and
2. Utopia Poker
1. Utopia chess:

I am fond of chess but when I tried to open chess it requires contact which means I can play only with my contact list. As I have no contact on here I can't play. I think the Utopia team should enable it to anonymous as well as players online. Otherwise many players like me will not be able to play.

2. Utopia Poker

Though I am not fond of poker I tried to open it and it requires creating a table. I have created a table for 4 seats. And I bought the table with 0.1 Crypton. That was deducted from my Crypton balance. Once I tried to play I saw the rest of the seats are empty. I think it is empty as I have no contacts. Also in this table, I have no option to invite as I have no contact. If it is for online players then anyone could join.

To sum up I want to say that Utopia undoubtedly a good creation but it need added few more things.

I downloaded the Windows 64 Bit executable app. The installation process was smooth and easy with no hiccup.

1. Account creation.

The process of account creation was not hard, however, there should be emphasis on making sure users back-up their private keys or seeds right before accessing the account like how other major wallets do it such as asking users to type back some of the words in their seeds just to confirm if they backed them up.
This can help promote good seed back up practices

2. Closing and opening utopia app

When one closes the Utopia window, it still remains running in the background. I think there should be a warning to users that the app will remain running in the background and the icon is active under the system tray Icons
Utopia platform window only opens up normally through the desktop Icon or shortcut if it’s a fresh execution.
Opening Utopia through the icon in the desktop when it’s still active in the background as par the system tray icon results into no window showing up until someone checks and opens through system tray Icon


Suggestion

---> One should be able to open utopia through the desktop icon too even if it's already running in the background, just like it is possible with apps like discord.

3. On logging in

When the platform is fully synced. I noticed that there was still massive data usage. The only way of stopping this was stopping/shutting down the app. This is not suitable for users with low internet data plans.

Why is there massive internet data usage when the network is fully synced?

4. Channels

The channels tab was pretty straight forward.  I liked how it was possible to rearrange the channel list based on ratings, age, name, Language, number of guests etc
I still wonder what the use of the uptime column was because it seems all the channels were showing Uptime as None.

5. Idyll browser

A bright idea but not user-friendly

A brief description of the type of addresses the browser supports would be very welcome. You could also have a part where there are suggestions of supported addresses of popular sites already on the utopia p2p network, like search engines.
The browser seems to favor “HTTP” which, according to my understanding, is an outdated protocol instead of “HTTPS”
Like "http://exchanges" instead of "https://exchanges"

6. Umail

Pretty straight forward and clean.

Maybe you should add a few text formatting options such as Bolding, Underlining, italics, centering, etc. and also some options for emojis when creating a new umail message.

7. Contacts

When adding contact, there is an option to scan ucode Images that are only locally stored in the device. You could add an option to scan ucode via the webcam or device camera.

8. Miningbots

I could not test mine since I did not have any dedicated server or VPS

9. Uwallet

It's straight forward for a new user

---> Shop with utopia USD redirects to a list of merchants which are accessed on a browser that is not idyll. In my case, it was Microsoft Edge. This defeats the purpose idyll browser was created for.

---> I used the 5 CRP to create a crypto card and the process was smooth. However, I think more information about the card is necessary. Is it a credit card or debit card. Is it a MasterCard or VISA type of card, What service or countries support its usage, what is the expiry date etc.

My test process was carried out in a way like any ordinary user would use the platform without being that tech savvy and this is how it went...

App Installation
Installing of the Utopia desktop app was super easy as the app helps you navigate through the process, and after it was done was greeted by a clean and nice looking user interface that needed me to either sign in or create an account.

App Features

After seeing the welcome message of the key features of the Utopia ecosystem, the "Utopia" name does fit in well as this is intended to tell the user this is an all in one cyptocentric social platform and community. But looking at the key features I think the biggest features here could easily be uWallet, Mining, and Ibyll Browser and the location of the first two can easily be found upon launching the app unlike the Ibyll broswer which is put in the tools section and I feel needed to be easily seen maybe somewhere near the games section if the intention is to have users regularly using it.

Upon opening the browser I could tell this is based on Mozilla firefox with a cleaner touch to it without any bloatware and was skeptical to see how far this could go in terms of everyday use. And because the browser is advised in such a way not not to save user data like running it in incognito mode I wanted to see if i could load up a password manager for this test but will need to wait for synching to be done or something ..but then again how does one know synching is done because i could even access https://u.is/ on the browser itself **will update when sync is complete**

Games
Noticed we have two games available and I tried both which suggested I need to have friends or family to play chess with as its based on an invitation basis, and the poker match didn't have other peoiple to play with on the table, so maybe if this can have parameters like play with public or friends or family we could have users to play against.

uWallet
This is self explanatory and didn't have to do much around here but did try out some vouchers which apparently were all used, but just a concern is there a cooloff period for someone trying out vouvhers to prevent any brute force and the alike.

Otherwise great platform all this place needs are the numbers to come in and be an active community .
