I have been speculating the forum since I created my account. I am a newbie here in forum but I already knew cryptocurrency since 2018. But all I know is to invest and trade my money only.

I started my trading journey in 2019 and it did not bring a lot of profits. Luckily, I am hired in my company this 2022 and I opened my eyes again for the cryptocurrency opportunity. I came back with my initial investment to my friend.

I invested in MYER, a cryptocurrency platform that gives a positive ROI (For pioneers). When I invested, I thought I will become a millionaire by this time. Not until I found out, that this crypto farming was a SCAM. It scammed many of my co-workers who invested also in this HYIP.

I did not learn from my past mistakes and yet, I was still aggressive. I lose more than 1000 dollars because of my ignorance.

Now, I discovered the different forums in cryptocurrency as well as this forum. Hoping to learn more about cryptocurrency and how it really works. I will not stop until I can invest in a right project and contribute a lot in this forum.

Sorry for your loss. I also have a similar background, I first started my crypto journey in telegram. Unknown to me at the time, telegram was/is a haven for scammers, any scam whatsoever I’m sure you’d find them on telegram cloud mining, hyip, trading bots, advance fee fraud, paid signals, fixed bets and so on. Even the most genuine-looking platform on telegram could be scam. Luckily for me, I didn’t lose my money and my search for a good platform to discuss bitcoin led me here.

I’m obviously not a newbie but the reason I first came here was curiosity. I had heard about bitcoin & multiple times toyed with myself about investing but I kept putting it off. I bought some & then did lots more research to try & confirm to myself that I’d done a good thing.

I found the forum & have actually discovered it to be a real waterfall of knowledge. Some really smart people here you can soak up info & really learn things that aren’t always possible from just picking up a book.

I do agree with you. Once you have better foundation in cryptocurrency. You can easily separated the projects which may give you a profit or take your savings. That is also one of my primary reason why I engaged in forum. Hoping to become more knowledgeable in cryptocurrency soon.

Welcome to this forum, I commend your resilience and commitment not to be discouraged in your journey investing. If you are seeking a good project to invest in, rather than wasting money around, invest in bitcoins! It remains your surest option.

My reason for being in this forum has evolved just as my ranks have grown. When I was a newbie, my number purpose for being here was to learn about bitcoins. Now that I have good knowledge about bitcoins, my reason for being here is because of the benefit of being among a community of persons that have same interest as I do.

I truly feel sorry for that since I am aware of how difficult it can be to lose money, especially when you were hoping for a significant return.

As I always say, everyone has a reason for visiting the forum, and with my simple observations I have seen that many people are there to learn more about how to secure their cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin, while others are there to help those in need. As for me, I am here to learn because many people, in particular, want to know more about Bitcoin and how it functions as an investment.

I was lead by a friend who out of pity for a cheap scam I fell for  lead me to this forum to acquire more knowledge of the field I intend diving.
I lost over $400 dollar to those scammers and I felt so bad because it all my life savings as at them and I guess I fell for them out of my greed to make more money and possibly double my money but it was an eye opener for me as there are no free money anywhere.
I'm sorry for your loss mate and we're both in this shoes together and I want to assure you that the forum is one of the best place for you to be and you should always be bold enough to ask any question you need clarification on.

Welcome to the forum mate. At bitcointalk.org you have the luxury to learn from and share crypto currency knowledge with experts. Your journey has been a sadden one so as almost every new investor of crypto currency but don't give up because the grind is real.

Before going further I would let me advice you that the right projects you are vying for is bitcoin. Although other investors invest in other altcoins but to me that risk is way too high for newbies to go into.

My purpose of been here was to learn about crypto currency and since coming into the forum my perspective has been shapen well. Secondly I also earn from signature campaigns.

feel sorry for your loss! invest in a project that ends in a scam - we've all experienced the same thing, don't give up and stop looking for another project to invest in just because of that bad experience. I hope you can do that (contribute well to this forum).

can I answer based on my personal experience first, because I was ever a newbie!  the reason I joined this forum was to make money from Bitcoin and crypto, incidentally, when I first joined, there were many altcoin projects that gave big bounty rewards but over time, I realized that that was a pretty stupid reason to stay in this forum, many lessons that I learned in this forum and it is far more valuable than money.

Here is Bitcointalk forum, and the focus is on Bitcoin here and not altcoins and for good reason too. Bitcoin was the first and has been the most consistent cryptocurrency, having all the qualities of privacy and trustlessness. This means that most here have a leaning towards bitcoin and would try to convince others to do so to.

If there's something you'll definitely not learn here, it's how to get rich quick.
Read replies and join discussions with an open mind. Do not be desperate to get a project to invest into and get lots of profits, there's more to the crypto space than that.

This forum is a great place for newbies to learn about crypto. Here you will also find information about the various scams that crypto users can fall prey to. That means any newbie who spends some time in this forum to learn about crypto will know how not to lose money. Sorry for your loss, but you made such a loss because of your lack of awareness about lucrative scams. Hope you learn from your past mistakes.

In the days of ignorance, mistakes are inevitable. Sorry for your loss mate and I am glad you have submitted your self to learning despite been around the crypto space since 2018. The Forum is full of so much information, and here at B&H is a good place to start. Have it in mind, any centralized network is bound to face one out of two things, either they get compromised and fold up or they get compromised and get regularized. The same was what happened to the so-called MYER that drowned your investment. Bitcoin remains the king of all Crypto and never compromise your keys, so your coin will be all yours

Well as I a newbie I was here due to curiosity, my story is quite long and I have already said it here before, in brief I am here out of the curiosity of Bitcoin, I can here to actually understand it more than I was first taught.

But I would be honest to say I have then built other interest since coming here and I have had wholistic development in my crypto-currency knowledge. This forum is probably on the top list for education and even giving people rewards for services.

Invest in Bitcoin to put an end to all fraudulent projects. Any other projects besides Bitcoin are vulnerable to fraud because they are overseen by a group of people who own shares in the project or the CEO of that particular project; as a result, when a problem arises, they simply sell their shares or abandon ship, putting an end to the projects.

This is a forum that accommodate si many people around the world to share ideas about Bitcoin. I join the forum to learn about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.

I hope you are doing well now these days though. I am not familiar with that MYER thing, but surely if I hear investing to a third party crypto miner, I am pretty sure that it is a scam.
Since you are already here, just telling ya that you might not need other project to invest to, maybe just call it to Bitcoin and leave it. Considering how common crypto is mentioned now these days in addition of random NFTs everywhere, I would not be surprised that a lot are scams now these days.

When I first joined this forum it was to learn about wallets and exchanges. I wanted to buy bitcoin and hold it as a store of value and inflation hedge and I knew that we were in a bear market, so the time was right. It have me exactly what I wanted. I've learned so much here about the importance of self-custody and hodling. Thanks to this community I managed to avoid all exchange collapses and cloud mining scams and I still have coins that I bought back in 2015 and 2016.

My message to all the newbies who think they're too late for the party: people who were joining in 2013 thought the same! Then came 2014 and people thought it was all over and every single year people register here and abandon their accounts thinking they came too late.

I have shared my journey here in Bitcointalk and why I joined this forum. On 2018, I was taught by someone I know personally and guided me what he knows about this forum and what I can do in this forum. During that year, ranking up an account doesn't require merit in order to rank up. Days later after I joined the forum where the merit is implemented which is the additional new rank requirement to rank up. Before the merit implementation, my goal is to increase my rank through posting where as I have explained that ranking up doesn't require merit. The reason for that is because of bounty campaigns that I can participate and also earn money. To make it short, I joined forum to earn money which is what I was taught before when I know about Bitcoin and Bitcointalk forum. Anyways, that was before and all those time I spent in this forum is what made me know the things I know about cryptocurrency until now.

Honestly, I was at first here to get money because I saw my friends are very successful in getting money from cryptocurrency, one of them is by earning money from this forum.
After being here and doing many tasks, I was aware that earning money here is not as easy as I see. And moreover, the condition has been different in the past. This was hard. However, I didn't know exactly what to do. But, experiences told me much. Experiences from myself and also from many members here really taught me many things that to earn much money, to get worthier, I must learn more and more. And never expect to be rich because of those forums. However, I didn't know many things. Additionally, this is not enough, crypto is complex. I also started to get money from ding airdrop and also future trading. And these failed because I was really a newbie and didn't know anything, but only following any signal. Well, this is a worthy lesson.

And please, for everyone who is new here, you need to set first what you want here. This is not the forum where you will need extra money easily because it is not as easy as you may think. Try to learn more before expecting, so you can consider at what level you are and what to do to reach a higher level.

Investing in crypto is a high risk, never believe someone who promises you big profits easily by investing in shit tokens, I had this bad experience, shit tokens will only make those people who really know the ways to utilize pump and dump, only for the developer teams that earn money from victims, but for newbies, this is harmful and high risk because you are on their traps.

You have really passed through a tough time and I hope this time you are going to be fortunate. Well cryptocurrency is diverse and having this kind of knowledge would give you an edge to understand fully how the market works and since you have had these kind of opportunity, I hope you will take a better decisions. I think you are in the right place to be and you will have to ask questions on where you don't understand so that you can have an adequate knowledge. My experience was not as similar to this and I hope you will do better this time.

Newbies either come here to learn more about crypto or to earn it by contributing and getting ranked up and participate in various ways of earning including signature campaigns, raffles, contests (art, signature design, etc.) and so on.
