I agree with you. The 2026 world cup is still very far away. We have to wait another two years and this will make this thread very long. There's a lot to discuss in this thread. I enjoy discussing the performance of several top national teams which have experienced a decline. Or about Messi Ronaldo. Many say the 2026 world cup will be their last dance before quitting football completely. But many are also skeptical and say that the second era is over now. Ronaldo will retire from the Portuguese national team after the euro and Messi also deserves to retire. He has achieved everything in football and his country.

We have got two years before the world cup games, enough time to consider as too far a time but then one thing I know for sure is that  tho it appears far but I don't think it really is because we have gine passed half of 2024 already so it won't be long a d the world cup will ne here. Messi and Ronaldo are anticipated to appear in rhw world cup, for Messi it's not because he wants to achieve anything but wants some very last experience before exiting football formerly and for Ronaldo it may appear like a one last trial just before he exits national football so it's more like it's of a lesser priority to Messi than it is to Ronaldo.

If Ronaldo and Messi retire with their national teams, then we will see a historic shock in the world of football, many people still hope that both of them can participate. It is not the case that Messi or Ronaldo will win the World Cup if they play for their own team. The World Cup is a highly competitive tournament where the world's best teams compete. 

Ronaldo and Messi have played the best time of their career for their respective national team although Messi has been successful towards the end but Ronaldo has not been successful since the beginning of his career for the national team. Ronaldo can play 2026 World Cup if he thinks his team performance will be good if he is in the team and he can contribute well to the team's performance but if he thinks that if he is in the team as a player there will not be much change in the team's performance then he will withdraw himself. Other players in the Portugal forward lineup such as João Félix and Rafael Leão are nowhere near their counterparts in Argentina such as Enzo Fernández and Julián Álvarez when it comes to achievements in international matches. What I mean to say is that Messi can afford to pass the ball and trust his team-mates, while Ronaldo unfortunately doesn't have that luxury in the Portuguese team.

Well, never say never specially when it's the game of football we are talking about, Brazil have underperformed in almost all their games and tournaments in recent times, but that does not mean they do not have a chance at all in the coming 2026 fifa world cup tournament, specially with the fact that 2026 is still like more than 1 year away.

And speaking of Neymar jnr. Injuries; specially when very severe, can make a player lose interest in the game, I remember when I was very younger, I broke my ankle while playing football in school, and even faster I got better from the injury, I still did not play football for more than 3 years, because each time I remember the pain I felt during the time of that injury, I get scared of sustaining such injury again and that makes me lose interest.

But then, it's important we also understand that nothing we do in life is risk free, everything carries with it some level of risk, so, we must never stop doing what we have to do specially when it's what we love.
So, if Neymar jnr. loves playing football well enough, his injury shouldn't be the reason for him to give up.

Even after Neymar gets back in the good form and he starts playing for both Al Hilal and Brazil teams again, because of his playing style of this player there is still the chance for Neymar to get injured and this time it can be even harder than before that's why I said before Brazil should not be up to just one player.

Brazil is currently having good players, but their main issue is how to manage things because recently we are watching their coaches are not able to bring stronger motivation for their players to have things well under control just because of this we have badly failure in Copa América cup Neymar is surely big name and having ability to bring things better but sadly in last one year we are having this player hit by serious injuries even few are feeling now it's time for him to give up about this game and stay away, but he is trying his best for recovery and perform strongly for his country and clubs.

Now we have just few days left in new season and things are looking positive for him to perform and try once more for having things well-balanced but there i no guaranteed he will be able to do as he needed because we have uncertainty about his fitness so just wait and watch is best hopefully we will have positive update about this in few days.

Any Portuguese player that did not respect Ronaldo is only being envy of Ronaldo's achievements because FIFA respects Ronaldo and a lot of young footballers are looking up to Ronaldo as their role model. That Portuguese player that thinks Ronaldo does not deserve his respect cannot be famous as Ronaldo all the days of his football career.

And seriously, it's crazy that France hasn't won everything in the last 4 years. Their team is out of this world. Argentina is a great team, but they have had issues all the time. Losing against Saudi Arabia at the World Cup is not quite a sign of a perfectly set up team. Neymar is already suffering from Injury for last three months and we can understand how hard it is from him to stay away from the game.
