Italy doesn't need the perfect team to defeat someone like Northern Ireland. This is what I was hinting in my previous post. Northern Ireland only managed to qualify for the second round through the Nations League route.

I think that, as you say, everything is absolutely within our reach and we could definitely win against these teams.

I hope to see them because the remaining playoffs game now seems to be in their favour. Gennaru Gatuso has improved the team and they have proven that by managing to finish third in their group behind Norway. If they're able to beat Northern Ireland, I would suppose they will definitely find their way to the finals. Wales is a more favourite team to win the Wales Vs Bosnia game of which if it goes that way it's going to be a tough game for Italy.

However this is football and the suprise can even start with their game. If Bosnia wins, then I suppose Italy has secured a win already. Next year's world cup would be the highest reward for Gatuso and I believe he will work hard to be there.

No nation is void of security uncertainty. Most times, what is being factor into is the overall capacity of a nation to host the world cup in terms of financialial viability, security and maybe the strength of the country in terms of availability of infrastructures and good stadiums with close proximity which are literally the basic things that determines the readiness and ability of a nation to hosting the world cup. Because most nations don't have all these things figured out, that's the reason why there's a joint effort by multiple nations such that the burden is being distributed and it doesn't affect a single nation too much.

Political issues and those who talk about this every time make me very sad, we should only worry about the entertainment part and instead every time we end up talking about the most squalid parts of the World Cup.

I don't think giving odds for win of FIFA world cup is bad idea because bookies are independent to do anything even Italy is still not qualified for the main group stage, but they have good chance because their opponents are not good enough even this is now always tricky to predict about winner.

After staying out of two world cups things are getting worst for Italy, but they are doing their best under coach Gennaro Gattuso who is doing decent job with Italy after having poor and worst level experience in many clubs due to his poor knowledge and not good skills in coaching. At any level, I am not sure whether they are having any chance of going into top 8, winning is still far away.

Agree with you England needs to show more if they want to be considered as a contender for the next world cup, not only because their level is not so high but because they are England and we all know England always chicken out when it comes to mayor trophies. So until they dont show more results im not gonna consider them. Maybe now they can be QF no more.

I still have positive expectations for Italy in terms of World Cup qualification. They only need to beat two relatively weak teams and secure a place in the World Cup. Northern Ireland should not be a threat to them and neither should Bosnia or Wales. It would be a shame if the four-time world champions failed to qualify for three consecutive World Cups.

Obviously, the fault lies in the fact that football isn't played as well as it once was in Italy. Talent isn't developed, but established players are bought. This is because football has become a place full of capitalists.

The last time England was winning WC at 1966. Since then they never improve, they bottled the chance many times in various golden generations. As one of nation being regarded as a football house, it's a shame they has always been so stagnant. However, they seems quite promising under Tuchel. Hope they can at least reach something next year.

Personally i think there are good odds, obviously not many people believe in Italy anymore and for this reason we can be able to do well and press an excellent odds that can also be high compared to people who do not believe in it, obviously not everyone will bet

Against those two teams, I think the Italian national team is still capable of doing it with their current form. Especially against Northern Ireland, they'll be playing in their own country, so they should be more confident. As for the match against Wales/Bosnia & Herzegovina, that shouldn't be a problem either, as neither team has particularly outstanding players. So, under Gatuso's guidance, Italy is still capable of winning the match and qualifying for the World Cup.

I guess that they made it only for those who want to take an extra risk, because at the end betting on a team that may not even qualify is a risk bigger than usual. But if Italy manage to qualify probably that number would drop quite a lot. Italy are not a good team but 33 is quite high. I wouldn't be surprised to see it change at 22-24 after the (eventual) qualification.

I actually agree with you that in the Sporting industry FIFA is one of the best game where raw player are been since,in fact than having three countries to host it was like an impossible mission back then because it didn't to much of it funds my otherwise because just have a look how the game is having become powerful and professional with all the 48 countries and more countries would want to still join but it all closed...

He wants to climb the coaching ladder, and honestly, he's doing it as a way to advance his career, using his results as elements of his CV.
I think he has what it takes, in my opinion he was just unlucky, in the end he's not a bad coach, there are definitely worse people, look at Pioli who led Fiorentina to relegation

While it is a good idea to use Italian job to get a better job later on, I would say he already has a CV that is big. Pisa, Milan, Napoli, Valencia, Marseille, while none of them were too much most of them were fine and he wasn't that amazing in any of them.

So it doesn't really look like he is going to be a manager for any big top team. Milan was the highest level he achieved because of where he played when he was a player, but the reality is that he is not going to get that type of result again. We should be expecting less.

Tuchel is a serious coach and demands a lot from his players. England certainly has the capacity to achieve a major result, but whether they have what it takes to win remains to be seen. It is still a golden generation, and expectations are still high, but we cannot forget that there are many strong teams at the world cup, and no one will take this competition lightly ...

Northern Ireland has remained stagnant over the years. So I am 95% sure that Italy would win the first match. But the tricky part is that they need to win another match in order to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026. On paper, both Wales and Bosnia are stronger when compared to Northern Ireland. But they are much weaker w.r.t. Italy. So overall, I would say there is a 80% to 90% chance of Italy qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2026. Also remember that this time a total of 48 teams are taking part. It will be a great tragedy if Italy misses out despite the increased number of participants.
