I've seen this record and Messi doing it. As for Ronaldo, he's got that plan to be the best scorer of all time before he retires through official games. And he's got a lot of work to do during this world cup.

I don't know much about Senegal and their abilities, but I'm a big believer in Norway, so the odds of x2.34 look very attractive and are hard to ignore.
It might not be an easy game, but Haaland and the team did incredibly well in the qualifications and confirmed they came here to win in their first game against Iraq. If they play at their 100%, I don't think Senegal will be a match for them.

Messi is just quietly doing what Messi does best. No too much noise, no unnecessary drama, just showing his class on the pitch and delivering when it matters. I can't say anything about what he's achieved so far in the competition, all of Argentina's goals were scored by Lionel Messi. Messi keeps writing and rewriting history every time, when you think it’s over he just springs up something new I never expected he’ll be this instrumental to Argentina but he’s proven it over and over Again why he’s the best player to ever grace the field. It's really good to see Messi breaking records more in football as he's about to retire soon. For the newly created records he created, to be the current top scorer of the World Cup, is not something that will take centuries or another century for another player to break, is what I don't agree on. Because from the look at the list, players who fall below Messi, in the number of goals scored in the World Cup. Look at where Mbappe falls in. Don't you think that before the end of this World Cup and the one that follows, Mbappe's position will move a bit higher?

I am a bit hopeful, a young player like Mbappe can top the list before the end of his career, representing France in the World Cup

I think the missed spot kick really fired him up real good. After he got that hat trick in their first game against Algeria, you would expect him to score in every subsequent game and he did today as well. 2 games and 5 goals. It’s crazy, Argentina have got 5 goals in the tournament so far and Messi has scored every one of those goals. His got more playing time and goals to score. The record is his for now, let’s see how it holds up, Mbappe would be thinking what he would do with that.

At this moment, I think it's safe to say that Lionel Messi was simply born for this. After failing to convert the penalty they got in the first half, I thought it was gonna be a bad day at the office for the Argentine greatest player but no, Lionel Messi still went on to score a double.
Don't know of Cristiano Ronaldo will be able to match that record but I know he'll definitely not score 5 goals tomorrow. Football keeps producing incredible moments.

I don't know why no one noticed (I didn't see it in previous comments), but Messi scored two goals today, and those stats only include the first goal. Messi has 18 World Cup goals in total, two ahead of Miroslav Klose.
With this todays goal, Mbappe now has a total of 15 goals in all the World Cups he has participated in.

The France Vs Iraq match has been interrupted for over some time now and it's due to the weather conditions, I wonder if they would continue when it stops or the game will be abandoned and played tomorrow,  for now no one knows and I'm sure the officials will be looking for a possible solution to this. The match as anticipated didn't produce the kind of goals I had thought it would on the first half, one shot on target and that was the goal. Olise for the second time in a row has found Mbappe and he didn't disappoint and buried it with a left foot shot to put France in the driving seat. Let's see what will happen next because I'm still awake at the moment monitoring the situation online.

He has moderate capacity like he made it by force and unfortunately when age become rise then probably your body focus slightly drop. So Messi have a natural capacity. Personally I don’t think we are still in this position of comparison years after everything, everybody can have an opinion but let’s be realistic or honest here, Messi been this good at this age doesn’t give anyone the right to actually insult a player like Ronaldo or expect him to do what Messi is currently doing, we could say yes one is the greatest of all time but let’s even look at it Ronaldo is 41 and two years older with months than Messi this is even a good excuse for Ronaldo.

Messi actually is smashing every record in the World Cup but have we forgetten that Ronaldo actually has smashed every record too in the champions league, yes the biggest occasion is the world cup but treating Ronaldo like a passer by right now is definitely an insult

The France game is about to be resumed, I almost felt the suspension was going to result in the match being rescheduled due to the weather condition but, the weather looks a lot calm now, the players have returned right back on the pitch and are doing a little warm up for the game to resume. I wonder what effect this unwanted break would have on this game, if we would find Iran to pick up and have some good going.
