I think Argentina were very lucky because with how good the Cape Verde goalkeeper was if the game had gotten into penalties there is a very good chance that he would have being able to catch many of the Argentinas penalty kicks and intimidated them a lot because they know he is a good keeper so Argentina were lucky they were able to win the game in normal additional extra time and not allow the game get into penalties else I believe they would have been eliminated. Many of their players will get good signing to better clubs from the world cup.

I agree. Who in the world would have thought that the underdogs Cabo Verde would be the better team on the night. They kept the Argentina team were under so much pressure in the game that even when the match was over, the Argentina players couldn’t even celebrate, they just seemed to be relieved that they survived Cabo Verde.

I believe clubs in Saudi and MLS will sign him because they are used to signing old players and I believe Vozinha is better than most of their goalkeepers. Vozinha is keeping with experience despite that Argentina won the game he got all the attention than Messi because he was able to stop Messi from scoring more goals.

I love Cabo Verde spirit, they're not afraid of anyone and didn't look down on themselves instead, they came to the world cup to make name for themselves. Imagine playing Argentina to extra 30 minutes with a 2-2 draw. I respect them even though, they gat no name.

If Vozinha is hired by Saudi Arabian clubs, he will definitely get a good evaluation. He is quite capable and good enough compared to all the goalkeepers currently in Saudi clubs. He is one of the best goalkeepers in this World Cup. The number of great goals he saved from Messi against a strong team like Argentina was truly incredible, and all the Argentine players were very nervous. The way the game was attacked from the beginning to the end and the way the team held their game, they were not afraid of a strong team. The strong performance of the Cape Verde team, their speed, is truly incomparable, against a strong team and a team that won the World Cup, yet they struggled to win. The way a small country that got a chance in this World Cup has come forward bravely is truly respectable. I definitely respect their game. The way they played with confidence is certainly respectable for them.

Argentina got a hard match with Cape Verde while before the match, many people expected an easy win for them, and after Messi scored a first goal, this belief becomes clearer. However, Cape Verde players did not give up and they challenged Argentina till the very last minutes of 120 minutes. They did almost succeeded to pull Argentina to penalty shootouts, anyway with all four matches in World Cup 2026, Cape Verde can be proud of themselves.

Genuinely, Cape Verde did surprised the world, they bowed out in a grand style, i want to believe that before that game, a lot of persons definitely saw it like one that will be considered a work over for the Argentine side but to our greatest surprise, they wanted to turn out a nightmare to the Argentine side. i feel like saying congratulations to them even as they did not make it to the next round because they were incredibly brilliant.

The game was rigged it was a fair match. The referee who officiate that match was very transparent,he was fair and he didn't favour one side over the other. If you say the referee blew in the favour of Argentina I don't think so because I watched the match they was no partiality in it. Argentina were much surprised and same time under pressure to win the game they were for that OG because the game would have ended in a penalty shootout it would have been a 50/50 probability for them to win.
Cape Verde goal keeper should have be awarded the best player of the match he truly deserve it because if it wasn't for his incredible saves, Messi would have scored cape Verde many goals.

Vozinha first attracted global attention in Cape Verde's very first match at the group stage against Spain, which denied Spain their full 3 points. Again, Messi was denied multiple goals just because of his prowess, to the point that Messi went to hug him at the end of the match, which means a lot in the world of football and signing, but it is more than that when it comes to signing a goalkeeper of his age, even the SPL does sign such if you check. I also read they have strict rules in signing foreign players, which the guy doesn't seem to qualify for. The latest interest I read about was a Brazilian Série B club, Ceará. I hope a first division club could show interest, but it will highly likely not be from the SPL.

Josimar Jose Evora Dias is almost as old as Ronaldo and if there would be difference in there age it will not be more than one but however he is a goalkeeper and with a show of resilience and great leader to the Cape Verde, I don't think there is any goalkeeper that have performed more than him on this tournament, because of his efforts the goal post of Cape Verde is always small to players at time to score because he has saved so many goals. So actually I also believe that some of the clubs who are making adjustment of goalkeeper would see him to make an offer because I want him on the international leagues and that's were he should be. Cape Verde lost to Argentina was like a victory to people because they're small but resilience. Is true FIFA did well on that because limiting the daily matches to few was better.

I’m particularly proud of Cabo Verde and Dr Congo, they put on a show and I love it. Despite the difference in FIFA rankings, Cabo Verde went head to head with the defending champions, taking the game to extra time before conceding an unlucky goal in the final minutes to lose the game. Who knows what would have happened if the ref hadn’t blown the whistle abruptly.

Cape Verde won the fans' hearts with their performances against not one, but two top-five countries, and they managed to stay undefeated while doing so. Everyone involved should be proud. This will never be forgotten. That's what football is all about—winning our hearts and leaving a mark that can last for all eternity. 🇨🇻 🇨🇻

Cape Verde's performance is a slap in the face of those who were talking; they do not deserve to have a spot in the World Cup, but they have done a historic job and stunned teams like Spain, Uruguay, Saudi Arabia, and now Argentina.

Amazing stuff from them in this last game as they did in the first game against Spain. Scoring 4 goals in 4 games and conceding 5 goals while having a clean sheet against Spain was one of the best from them, while in their presence, Uruguay and Saudi Arabia failed to have a spot in the knockout. Now hopefully this debate will be ended about who deserves it and who does not in the World Cup. Now 16 teams are ready to show their best, and the title race is still open with no one as the hot favourite.

Yesterday I watched the Argentina vs Cape Verde game at a bar with some friends
Pretty much everyone on the street where I was was rooting for Cape Verde and cheered every time the team scored a goal or every time Vozinha made a save

It wasn’t meant to be this time, but the African team’s performance was impressive, really impressive
They didn’t lose to two World Cup champions in the group stage and played VERY well, holding their own against the current world champion
I’d have liked to see them go further, at least to the Round of 16

Forcing Argentina to play 120 minutes proved that the Cabo Verde national team was worthy of facing Argentina. I think it's true, who would have thought that a team with a population of less than 1 million could shake up the football world. Being able to match Argentina from the first minute until extra time was a miracle for Cabo Verde. The quality of their players is also worthy of appreciation. They are now eliminated, but Cabo Verde's World Cup memories will be deeply ingrained.

I was speechless watching their performance in this match, it was truly incredible to see how hard they worked to win. They didn’t just defend, they also launched frequent attacks that left Argentina defense overwhelmed, and you can imagine that this team managed to hold the world champions to a draw.

Although in the end, they were defeated in extra time. For a moment, i wondered if Argentina would actually lose, lol.

The biggest praise goes to Cape Verde goalkeeper, a truly impressive performance. If only he were younger, many teams would surely be lining up to sign him as their goalkeeper.

Cabo Verde is among smallest countries of the world and they were participating in the world cup for the very first yet they proved with their performance that they rightly qualified for the world cup. Cabo Verde remain unbeaten at group stage and they stunned everyone with the way they played their game against Argentina in round of 32. Now Cabo Verde has played a world cup and they must retain this spirit to qualify for next FIFA world cups and who knows they may lift the trophy some day.

Argentina would have to beat Cape Verde first. Their game is on right now and the Cape Verde goalkeeper is already getting some highlights from his touches with the ball, feeling all confident about his play and their defense like looks a lot organized, they’ve not allowed Argentina to get a lot of them right now and they are hoping to capitalize on counter attack to survive this game against Argentina.
This would be an under 1.5 game, there wouldn’t be a lot of goals in this fixture.

I’m not even gonna lie, i would have been so happy if Cape Verde had knocked out Argentina yesterday but that wasn’t the case. I didn’t even watch the match because i was so tired and went to sleep early. Only waking up this morning to hear of how Cape Verde were a thorn in the flesh of the Argentines and how their GK was phenomenal. Congratulations to Argentina though but the war is not over yet, they still got Egypt to deal with and i’m sure it’s not gonna be a walk in the park for them. We all know that Egypt are worthy opponents too  so they better be prepared even though I’m not against the idea of them losing to Egypt lol 😂. Call me a hater but hey! This is football and anything can happen so I’d prefer to be open minded to any outcome that might come to fruition.

It is expected that the game between Cape Verde and Argentina would be the talk of the town after a wonderful performance from the African team. Many would have thought that it was going to be an easy win for Argentina but that belief was cut short after Cape Verde took the game to an extra time, equalising twice after Argentina took the lead.

In my country, many people take Cape Verde as the winner of the match even though they lost and that is because they showed the world what a real competition looks like. It seems to me that African countries have really surprised everyone with their performance in this World Cup regardless of the latter outcome. It would be really deserving that we see an Africa vs Europe final in this World Cup.

They are certainly more mature, as Didier Deschamps has also matured in the management of the team.
Among the various teams he coached, this was certainly the team that, in my opinion, gave him the most experience, even if it was slow and not immediate.

I was expecting a very high level match against Cape Verde, they have shown that they are truly a very strong and dominant team, at times much stronger than Argentina, i would have expected that it would end in penalties, instead Argentina was very lucky to win this match.
