I would like to see Norway more in this World Cup than Brazil, although it's nothing I hate but it's really nice to see the celebrations after the game when they win and we know Haaland wants to make history with his country in the World Cup now.
I know in Brazil there are Vini and Endrick, Neymar and Casemiro these are great players, but the Vikings are on the rise, I hope they surprise and give a shout to shut down Vini's arrogant behavior. LOL

All of us have our own favorites and what you said is not wrong because if Norway qualifies then the world cup will be more interesting because it is possible that there will be other surprises but in this match I am more realistic in choosing the team that qualifies because I think Brazil has very high motivation with their new coach now and also overall Brazil's strength is better than Norway so I believe Brazil will qualify for the next round.

Brazil has always been impressive when it comes to their determination to participate in the world cup each year, they always manage to make it in and also struggle to maintain their stand with eyes standard performance, only that some will have to be evicted along the line and everybody will not make it to the final, maybe it's only time for us to accept the fate on Brazil to move on with the expectation on another world cup but not on this one any longer, because they just ended it all.

Before the start of the world cup this very Portuguese team was listed among the teams that will excel in this competition, they boosted of the squad which no doubt is star studded, but I disagreed with them about the team being exceptional. The truth is the team has lots of stars but they are all bunch of individual players that's one, the second problem they have is coaching issues. Martinez doesn't know how to combine the explosiveness of Vitinha, Neves and Bruno, their first 2 matches were against below average teams and the owned the game but the moment they met an average team, what happened? Few day before Portugal match against Colombia and Portugal really disappointed with there bad performance no one expected that performance from  Portugal after a 5-0 win against uezbikstan. They really gave so bad performance they don't make perfect possession, no shots on goal very null performance by bernado, Silva, even from the Cristiano. Portugal have to face epureon teams Croatia, England and France and Spain, they have to work hard and and have to thaught from the their past mistakes. They have to more work on team work and they have to work on their possession and have to their attack and midfield work . Now the only thing I'm focused on is the fact that Haaland didn't play anything starting from the first minute till when they went for the hydration break that was when Haaland started causing problems for Gabriel and his teammates at the back, 2 good goals and he was still hungry for more and I love the way he positioned himself to rescue his teammates, isn't this the best we have seen from the Manchester City forward?

There is no doubt that Norway has qualified for the quarter-finals because of Haaland's excellent p erformance. This Norwegian forward is in great form. It was not easy to score  2 goals, especially against a strong and experienced team like brazil. He was able to score two excellent goals. Haaland is currently on the list of top scorers of the world cup. Mbappe, Haaland and Messi have scored 7 goals each. Brazil lost this match. They missed a lot of  chances. Luck was not on their side. Honestly , if we miss such easy chances, we cannot blame luck alone. It is also a failure of the players.

If Brazil had scored from the penalty early in the match, the whole game would have been very different. Since there were no goals, both teams took fewer risks and played more cautiously. Haaland and his teammates had much more possession, and not conceding a goal meant they didn't struggle too much. They scored a little late, but overall the game went well.
Neymar's retirement from the national team is also interesting, in my opinion; he's only 34, but he's given up. Many world stars continue playing football until they're 40; it seems like they can play much longer now

I don’t think Canada had a particularly strong team to begin with, and I’d say just making it this far is a success for them. We can say that Mexico’s elimination was unfortunate. The postponement of Balogun’s red card for the U.S.A is truly ridiculous. It looks like Trump has intervened here. About the the race for the golden boot award, I'll say Kylian Mbappe will win it ahead of Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland and should the France captain fail to win it, I'm tipping Messi to win it ahead of the Norwegian striker. Norway are through to the quarter finals and will face England, I doubt that they'll be able to beat England so it's very possible that he might not score again in this FIFA World Cup. For Kylian Mbappe, I don't see anything stopping him from reaching the final again, so do I think Lionel Messi will at least reach the semi final.

You both make really great points. Honestly, seeing Messi, Mbappe, and Haaland locked at 7 goals each is absolutely insane. It’s hard to bet against Mbappe given his explosive pace, but tomorrow's game is a massive golden opportunity for Messi to temporarily steal the spotlight against Egypt.As for tonight, the Spain vs Portugal clash is definitely the match of the round. Spain’s team chemistry and structure have been flawless so far, but you can never count out Portugal's individual quality. It was too obvious that Brazil struggled to win Japan last time and i can remember when i pointed out that Brazil will not end well if they should continue playing with their tactics and talking about the penalty that was missed by a Brazil player, assuming Brazil has the capacity of bouncing back in the match even with the missed penalty, they will still bounce back but the force was not there and that is why Norway team has to take on them by 2:0 to nothing.
It is nice to see that Naymar is retiring from the national team and i quickly heard that Christian Ronald is retiring from the national team as well.

Brazil under Ancelotti lost the kind of strength they had two decades ago, Yesterday's game was all in their favor, but Guimaraes' penalty miss changed the narratives, for the first time in 40 years Brazil have not recorded missing a penalty shoot in an ongoing match, Ancelotti also made the wrong choice, why not allow Vini take the shoot. Neymar whom he left on the bench would have as well started the game, the boys needed a talent like that of Neymar in yesterday's game, Vinicious on the other hand, whom he allowed to lead the pack was unable to create opportunities, he spent the whole second half trying to dribble his way from the left flank to the goal post. The whole point of Brazil losing this early in this tournament stems from Ancelloti's indecisive play.

In this match, Brazil was truly humiliated by Norway, because they really didn't have a chance to score in this match. Because in this match, the only goal that Brazil had was a penalty kick from Neymar in the final minutes. So I think if Brazil hadn't been awarded a penalty kick, I'm sure Brazil wouldn't have been able to score. So because of that, I really didn't expect Brazil to be destroyed like this by Norway.

So with this, I feel like Brazil's golden age seems to be over now. Because if we compare the current Brazilian players with those of the past, it seems the difference is clearly very far. So because of that, I personally really regret that there is currently no truly great successor for the Brazilian national team. And besides, Norway really didn't expect to be able to play that well, so it seems that looking at their current performance, it seems that Norway will be able to advance even further in this World Cup.

It was not the kind of performance that many of us expected from Brazil that we saw yesterday. Almost everyone saw Brazil, before the beginning of the match, as the favorite team to win, despite the fact that we know Norway are a very strong team. Even the odds given by betting companies were in favor of Brazil, since they have world class players in their team.

What surprised me most is that, even in terms of ball possession, it was Norway that was in control, which I did not expect. This current Brazil team is not even close to those former Brazil teams, but I don't know what is wrong with this current Brazil squad that they are not playing so well with the kind of players that make up this current team. I don't even think this current Brazil team has won any trophy in over ten years now.

This is actually not a kind of performance we were expecting from Brazil and thier losses cost me a little, I know how Neymar and Vinicius would feel yesterday, not that they didn't performance accurately,but the performances has some bending status which I wasn't expected. They had alots of chances to produces much goals but it has late already. Congratulations to Norway on this great achievement and victory over Brazil. Also I was impressed with the Earling Haaland performances, I think this is his first time coming to FIFA world cup tournament and he has set a great records on ground.

Today's matches are going to tough a little, especially the Portugal against Spain. Well the England has won thier match already manageable, let see what's going to happen between Portugal and Spain in next few hours.

English fans are singing praises to him for how he's managed the English national team this early morning even when they had 10 man on the pitch.
Some of the fans still thinks he is the most tactically sound manager remaining in the FIFA World Cup Competition and could get them to tue finals.
