It was a very nice and interesting match played by the Belgium. Belgium surely bullied and show the world that they are a better team than the USA side.

Although Belgium advancing to the next level of the tournament to face one of the toughest team in the tournament will be a very big problem for them, as they are likely to loose the quarter finals against Spain.

Argentina should win against Egypt in the same manner that Belgium did against the USA. I am more interested in seeing who wins the match between Switzerland and Colombia. Norway (The Vikings), and Spain are starting to make their presence felt, but I think France and Argentina will still meet yet again. They both knocked out two of the best teams in the tournament. I read a quote online saying "Haaland knocked Neymar out of his last World cup, Lamine yamal knocked Ronaldo out of his last world cup, and Mbappe might do the same to Messi. I think France and Argentina might still meet in the finals again.

I also predict that Argentina and France will have a big chance of meeting in the final because both France and Argentina are very strong. If that happens, the match will definitely be very exciting, because in that match, we will see Mbappé and Messi meet. But of course, we don't know what will happen in this ongoing World Cup match, because it's also possible that Argentina and France won't qualify for the final, because the teams in the World Cup are certainly strong teams. Even the red card suspension of US striker Folarin Balogun was of no use for the side in round of 16 as Belgium thrashed USA 4-1. The opening goal was scored by Belgium in 9th minute and Malik Tillman scored the equaliser for US team but after that it was belgium show as they scored 3 more goals to secure there spot in quarter finals.

Honestly, I really wanted Portugal to win, just because of Cristiano Ronaldo. To my mind, Portugal was a bit unlucky that they had to face Spain because Spain has a strong team but honestly, this world cup is crazy. Brazil lost against Norway and actually Haaland scored 7 goals and stands next to Messi and Mbappe. Guys, he scored 7 goals while playing for Norway. Also, Argentina even lost against Cape Verde, that has a population of 500K people.

Every lover for football wanted Ronaldo to win this world cup, but the Portugal players let him down, they didn't play with their hearts for Ronaldo to win, they expected him to do all the dirty work and carry Portugal on himself at 41years.  The management was also poor, it's hurt to see Ronaldo existing from the world cup at this stage. This is football, unpredictable game,the lucky team won,  Spain wasn't special in this game,both team played rubbish football,but span was able to make use of the last opportunity to win.

Cape Verde left the world cup with a standing ovation, Haaland is a mortal he displayed against Brazil in and knocked them out other world cup, Mbappe will be the top scorer, he's in form and I wish he wins the world cup too.

Even those who are not fan of Ronaldo wanted his team to win a World Cup. Messi's dream has come true but Ronaldo's dream of winning the World Cup as the best player in the world may not come . Don't be overly hyped up about Argentina because they might just be joining Portugal not too long a time from now. kicking the united state out of the world cup in the round of 16 would certainly annoy Donald Trump but the fact that they sent them out with a massive goal difference should let them know that regardless of the early positive result they hard at the start of the tournament, it does not still make them a footballing nation. Argentina vs Egypt is going to be another super exciting game and i would love to see how the moh Salah stands up to that challenge and hopefully send the Argentina team packing. Every match in the World Cup is currently very exciting and the most impressive thing is that the best teams will have a good time later and the weak teams will have no chance. Argentina should not have a hard time winning against Egypt because Egypt is far behind in terms of ranking and the team is not very strong. As for the USA vs. Belgium, I actually had a feeling Belgium would qualify because Belgium has several star players who could lead Belgium to the next round. But after reading the news about Folarin Balogun's suspension being overturned, I thought the USA had a president who could lead the club through. And it turned out my hunch was more correct than my fears.

It's surprises like this that make us delusion.

Just last night talking to a friend while we were watching the match, we were commenting on exactly this, for his age it should be his last World Cup, but no official statement supports the theory that this is his last World Cup, starting from the fact that he will not be the one to decide, at most he can physically feel like facing one last World Cup or not, even though he is physically more trained than a new generation player.
Maybe he could participate in the next World Cup, maybe not as an official player?

Both Spain and Portugal were afraid to take risks and to start with an overly attacking tactic for the match. Both teams were really good, but Spain had better goal opportunities and I've had the feeling that the Spanish team is 10% better than the Portuguese team. Many people would argue that Portugal was playing with 10 players, due to Ronaldo being slow and inefficient, but we'll never know how Portugal would look with a younger central striker. I was surprised that Bernardo Silva and Rafael Leao were substitute players for Portugal. Agreed. After Germany was kicked out of World Cup those two are the most probable contestants for the trophy. Nevertheless, I still think that France will beat Argentina if it happens that they meet in the final because Argentina scores their points off Messi, while the France squad is made of talents that compare favorably in strength with him. The match between Spain and Portugal was a very exciting affair. Both teams had a chance to win. Spain secured the victory with a last-minute goal. Admittedly, Merino scored a masterful goal; a magnificent strike with his left foot. This is how Spain managed to win against Portugal. Ronaldo was effective in a few instances, but couldn't be very impactful in a difficult Spanish match.

The game between Mexico and England was a very strong and interesting game, with a good performance from both teams, both teams played absolutely fantastic, and I was impressed with the game and the performance from both teams, Jude Bellingham was fired up in this game, with his spectacular performance and what he did show in the game, I was very very impressed and also Harry Kane played well, majority of the English players did played very well and I was very happy with how all of them did play in the game, however the Mexican's also played well both Jimenez played a good game, the entire Mexicans played a good game, they have had a good tournament here, so kudos to them for their Performance.

I really enjoyed Mexico and England they really played top level football, you name it Harry Kane played like no other in this tournament, and i think he will go a long way, even if they still have a lot of games to do to get to something concrete like a semi-final.

This is Messi's chance as well to lead the top scorers at this World Cup, seeing how Egypt were not as strong against Argentina as last season's winners, and yes I think they should be, Argentina can get more goals against Egypt this time.

For Colombia I'm confused as to which one to choose because both are completely out of my sights so far, and throughout this World Cup only as late as analyzing Switzerland, it was in the early stages of qualifying, but if I followed my instincts, I felt Colombia would win this game.

All the host teams wouldn't pass the group stage if this version of the World Cup was played the way it was before and at best maybe Mexico would pass and be eliminated soon after.
USA was politically backed and many nations, referees and FIFA delegates were afraid from indirect sanctions due to their way of play or decision.
Belgium did a good job for the remaining countries by eliminating them. This elimination was done in a bad manner since they received total of 4 goals. The contribution of the red carded player was another divine justice to remind them to not combine politic pressure with the fun and sports.

I wouldn’t have expected Belgium to win their match against the United States; I bet on the States to win and it didn’t go my way. I was also convinced that Spain would lose to Portugal; in fact, the Portuguese put up a very good fight, but in the end the Spain came out on top. Furthermore, last night marked the end of an era with Cristiano Ronaldo’s retirement from international football; he will stay on playing in Saudi Arabia whilst waiting for his son’s debut so they can play together, and then say goodbye to everyone.
