What are your predictions for today’s match, everyone, Egypt versus Argentina? I think Argentina will win. Imagine Messi scoring three more goals. That would be crazy. He would become the outright top scorer in World Cup history.

The match is set to begin in just a few minutes, and I’m absolutely certain that Argentina will win against Egypt and advance to the quarterfinals. However, I don’t think Messi will score three goals again in this match. But he’ll score at least one. Still, for me, whether or not Messi scores against Egypt, the most important thing is that Argentina wins. As for Messi becoming the all time leading scorer in World Cup history, he isn’t thinking about that because what matters most is that he plays well, and the record will come naturally. That’s all.

So many die hard Ronaldo fans do not agree with you, according to how they see things, in the absence of Ronaldo, Portugal won't be able to do well, some said Portugal qualifying for the World Cup is at stake, with high possibility of them losing in the qualifiers.

Although, personally i do not think the performance of a country is to be wrapped on a single player, with or without Ronaldo, Portugal stands a chance, Portugal are lucky to have one of the best player played with them, despite not winning the World Cup but they won Euro with him, which he led them to the victory.

I see some players playing well outside the national team, in different leagues, where Ronaldo is one of them. To be honest, Ronaldo is not just a word of mouth favorite, he has won the hearts of the fans through his performances.
He is a legend in the history of Portuguese football, but I have serious doubts about whether they accept it. If you look at the way the Argentine players play, you will see that they all play a Messi-centric game, which is not the case with Portugal. However, I would have liked it if Ronaldo had a World Cup trophy in his hand before retiring. Because he is one of the best players of all time.
However, I do not want to express too much opinion on how Portugal would have performed if he was not in the Portuguese football team, but I will say one thing: the world does not stop for anyone and the void is never filled. Maybe someone will come and take his place.

Portugal is not a team to win a worldcup they have alot of issue and the first issue they have Ronaldo Haha. We can't blame the players but the player is the problem. It's all are just as joke. Argentina will face Egypt today, although we think this match could be very close, especially a win for Argentina. Recently, we have seen that the few teams that Argentina has played against, each normal team has not faced a strong team. The equation of the Argentina team is really simple, yet the normal teams have played very well against Argentina and have put pressure on a strong team like Argentina with a strong attack. Accordingly, if Argentina cannot perform well against Egypt today and if the Egypt team can turn around strongly, the game will be difficult. Although football games often show unexpected results, if Egypt can bring a good result against Argentina today, the game will be more exciting. However, we can assume that Argentina has a higher chance of winning this match than Egypt and they will enter the quarter-finals.

Portugal is not a small team as you say, they have won Euro 2016, but their strength is not strong enough to win the World Cup trophy even though they have Ronaldo in their squad. Relying on Ronaldo alone is not enough to compete with other star-studded teams such as Spain, France, England and Argentina. Staying continuosly at the top can be difficult for these small nations. I didn't get to see if he actually retired, but I don't think so. I think if there's one player who's eager to play, it's him. Especially with the next World Cup, which will have matches in Portugal. I think he can hold his own until then, but obviously he won't be as good as before, but he can maintain his form.

I didn't get to see if he actually retired, but I don't think so. I think if there's one player who's eager to play, it's him. Especially with the next World Cup, which will have matches in Portugal. Given his age, I think that's a difficult decision to make, and he's also hinted at retiring from the national team in the near future. Even if he's still playing for his club in time for the next World Cup, I think it would be selfish to force him to be part of the Portugal squad.

Regardless, he's one of the best players ever. Even without a World Cup title, he's still a legend in the game. Sometimes people focus on titles, but forget what a player has achieved throughout his career. Egypt got the first goal but they must avoid the mistake they made in their last match against Australia where they scored and began to relax which made Australia to equalise. I know Argentina is not an easy team to win but Egypt need to take advantage of this 1 goal lead and make another attempt if they can get another goal. With what Egypt is playing after they scored, Argentina will get an equaliser because they just got a penalty but unfortunately, Messi missed the penalty for the second time in this world cup. Maybe it's not Messi's destiny to score through a penalty so he should better allow any of his teammates to play penalties because if they end up losing this match to Egypt he will be criticised for missing that penalty so he must avoid anything that will stain his good impression in the world cup.

I think we should just admit that Ronaldo ruined the team and happy he is out of the picture. Everyone make it about him anytime Portugal has a match, they always say pass for Ronaldo as if he is the only person that can do it, even the coach can't say no because he is going to lose that job he is managing. Instead of him to make the play his own way, he is doing it the Ronaldo way so that they can be happy but it's not helping the team in everything they do.

Maybe now that he is not there, there will be another way to push Portugal without trying to make everything about one person. The blame game they always talk on the internet will stop like the other day all the Ronaldo fans that went to Bruno comment to assault him will stop. If President Trump and FIFA truly had so much power to influence the outcome to benefit the USA, then Belgium would have lost. The red card was reviewed by the FIFA disciplinary committee, not by the FIFA president, and the rules were followed and applied. Everything was legal. Similarly, the USA lost because Belgium was stronger, and everything was fair, and the referee was fair.

For trump to have asked FIFA to twist their own rules, just to favor them, am sure if they had the opportunity they will have twisted the result also but they couldn’t just do that. Trump twisted the red card given to a player of USA just to favor them in their match against Belgium. The 2022 scheme of millions of penalties in favor of Argentina is not working yet because Messi continues to miss, but he is again given permission to take penalties. It's strange, to say the least, with such poor statistics, but you can always get new penalties! 
How many has he taken in the last two World Cups (not counting penalty shootout)? I think it's already 7  And scored only 4 of them.
So, it seems Egypt survived the first half and retained the lead, so we can expect some interesting things in the second half.

I could see the big disappointment on Messi's face for missing that penalty, I honestly felt for him though, but unfortunately, I will want Egypt to win this match, I am a big fan of Messi but I hope him and his team lose this time..

I placed a bet on this match for over 1.5 and hoping that Egypt will get that second goal that will further solidify their win, we are still in the first half of the match which will end soon, and this means there is still a lot of time for both teams to try their hardest to qualify for the quarter finals, but again, I really hope that Egypt don't fail, though I know their chances of beating Argentina is slim, but like I've previously said in another comment on another thread, beating Argentina is not impossible for the pharaohs of Egypt, Ronaldo is gone, Messi have to go too 😂😂
