Guys what's wrong with Argentina....

Let's see what happens next.

One of the most surprising result so far, even though Argentina have got time. This I do believe that Argentina would be on their way out of the tournament because, they’ve had a penalty opportunity that could have being their way back into the game and Messi missed it, didn’t shot off target even but, it got saved. His apparently not so good at scoring from the penalty spot in this World Cup. Egypt have being good defensively and just now, they’ve managed to advance their lead with 2 goals.

I'm still suprise that Messi threw away that open chance, that's to tell you that even the greatest players sometimes are unable to withstand pressure. Well penalty is a lucky game and anyone can miss it, doesn't matter if it's the greatest player. The first half is over and it's break, hoping to see Argentina improve in the 2nd half.
 That early goal really motivated Egypt, theyve been very careful with giving out much chances to Argentina, I'm looking forwards to see if yhey can maintain it till full time cause am sure Argentina would restrategise and come back with a better attacking force against the Egyptian defenders.

Argentina is now 2-0 down. It doesn't seem like they will have a chance to make a comeback in this match. Egypt is playing completely defensive in the second half. From the counter attack. It was a great goal. Although Argentina can create a lot of chances, there is no doubt that Egypt's defense is very strong. They will play all 9 players as defenders now. I at least thought that Argentina would qualify for the semi-finals. But it also seems that it will not be possible. They are not able to break Egypt's defense in any way.

Edit: Argentina is very lucky the goal is disallowed and Argentina gets a free kick. Argentina still trailing by 1 goal.

Spain win a late minutes goal against the Portuguese side, it was a very though match but as expected I was so certain that Portugal will not qualify through the Spanish giants.

Although I expected more goals to flow in the match but unfortunately, every side was being careful with their play. No side wanted to play recklessly that might jupidice their chance of winning.

It was a great fight from the Portuguese side because it's seems luck was not on their side today even though Spain had a better team than them they fought till the very end.

Congratulations to the Spanish side, Lamin Yamal, Pau cubasi, Pedri, Gavi, Ferran Torres, Rodri (the MOTM) and the rest of the Spanish team in their qualifications to the quarter finals.

Spain won the match with a late minute goal from Merino. Portugal was eliminated by Spain as expected, with the performance of both sides showing throughout the match, Spain was the better team and deserved to win. That was the end of World Cup appearances for Cristiano Ronaldo, to be honest he did his best for the country, but the current players didn’t play the way we expected, they have best midfielders in the world, but their performance in the World Cup was poor.

Rodri deserved the man of the match award, his performance against Portugal was outstanding, I was wondering if that was the same Rodri who performance was very bad since the start of the season. However, Portugal has been eliminated from the World Cup, so let’s see how these players will perform and win trophies for the National Team after Cristiano retired from international football.

Sorry I know alot of people want Argentina to win, but Egypt is really going to stun team Messi has he follows his brother Cristiano Ronaldo after the elimination.. otherwise that second goal was going to seal the deal!!

Egypt has made a goal opener in the game against Argentina, it was a good press by the pharaohs of Egypt in getting that goal that took the Argentina goalkeeper off guard. I can expect that this game would be getting more interesting right now that the World Cup defenders are the side that would playing to equalize against Egypt lead.

Disappointed with the way Messi often miss penalty in the current world cup. I guess there is something wrong with him when it comes to the pen. I'd rather see Enzo or Alvarez to execute that pen.

It is 65 minutes to the end of the match, it is very possible that Argentina has also lost just as Brazil lost. This recent matches are very surprising. Damn, I have mixed feelings - on the one hand it's disgusting, on the other hand it's interesting to see how it all ends, since Egypt is playing beyond all praise.

People will be surprised the way Egypt will eliminate Argentina, Egypt is already winning 1-0 while some persons thought by now Argentina would have been leading the game 2-0 or more. Egypt is playing well there goal keeper has made some good save, Messi couldn't believe he was going to miss that penalty, i love the Egyptian tactics they are been mindful of there defence and also making effort to get a some goals i wish they can be consistent in the second half.

I don't think anyone is going to be surprised because now it's a new era that started in soccer and the FIFA World Cup where African teams are going to have their best. Brazil is already eliminated through Norway, and today Argentina is also going to face elimination through Egypt.

Would you blame Leo Messi for missing that penalty? Haha another surprise today Egypt really surprised us with a quick attack but the situation is not safe yet because Argentina  just scored one goal in the 80 minute yeah we know how Messi is used to under pressure even 1 minute left is not safe enough for Egypt. I think this will be an important note for Argentina, especially the defense, in the last few matches they have often conceded goals this means that if they want to keep going then there must be changes, at least special attention.

Edit: Messi just equalized the score to 2-2 well, this is what I mean every second can change the situation I'm worried Argentina will take advantage of this situation because they are on fire.

Are we going to see another Senegal exit here, where they were leading by 2 goals at 80 minutes only for them to concede 2 more goals and loss in the plus minutes. That's interesting, at last two African teams will advance to the next stages. Egypt made a correction of their match against Australia so they quickly scored a second goal to reduce Argentina's chances of getting an equaliser. Good to see that Ronaldo and Messi influence in the world cup is coming to an end, now we will have to talk about Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe who are in their prime. I feel sad for Lionel Messi because if he had scored that penalty it would have given his team the confidence to win but while they were hoping to equalize, Egypt scored a double and Argentina players became weak just like it happend to Brazil against Norway.

 Another near success for African football as Egypt are about to lose a match they were leading by 0-2 up to the 75th minute of the game. This was what happened between Belgium against Senegal and similar thing happened between England and Cape Verde. Does this mean there is something seriously wrong with African teams that they cannot hold on to their advantages? You are indeed a fan without sentiment. I wonder why many Africans are supporting Argentina over Egypt. A win for an African side brings more respect and prestige to the continent. Many sports commentators and analysts criticised FIFA for increasing the number of African slots. I am happy Africa is proving them wrong.

I hope this will not be a repeat of the game between Senegal and Belgium, since Argentina have made it 2-2. Thanks to Lionel Messi.
