Why is this so common with newbies more especially those that doesn't know the principles of the market. Could it be they are not confident with the price then or wanting to see some changes before they could go into it or just can't say.
I could recall a friend of mine then who have been wanting to invest in bitcoin which he always calls to know the dip part of the price so he could buy some fraction of it, whenever he calls, i will tell him yeah you can buy now because is at a good point were you could buy some reasonable fractions. Do you believed that he never took it serious till bitcoin gain back momentum then, lastly what he did was to say " Let me buy now before i would be left behind" and he did, surprisingly the price dropped, but i advised him not to sell rather hold.

Even if people like to think about themselves as rational individuals which take decisions based on logic, the truth is the majority of those people take decisions based on their emotions.

They refuse to buy bitcoin at the bottom or close to it because they are afraid of making a mistake, however when the price begins to go up that fear transforms and instead of being afraid of losing money they are afraid of missing out, the famous FOMO, also since many more people are buying bitcoin at the time they feel safer doing this themselves, this is similar to what we see when an ad on TV says that millions of people have bought a particular product, even if it is a lie when people hear this they assume that since so many people are satisfied with the product then they will be as well and it is safe to buy it.

Logic > Emotion, emotion base decision always have a bad outcome. When we are picking on something that we will put our money with, it is good if we have logical decision. Our psychology can help us to make money and it can also the reason for us to fail. It is like a double edge sword so we should aware on how to use it properly. Picking right altcoins is not easy that's why I always prefer to choose altcoins that have high market capitalization and also with a good movement in chart. I'm always picking altcoins that have been creating a series of higher lows and highs because those altcoins are usually having momentum that can give high return with just low risks.

ETH is regaining the position slowly and we reach $1546 by the time I write this post. Need to keep an eye on that because Bitcoin is also do the same where it reclaims its position back again. But still you need to do some research first before going to seek another altcoin to invest because the market is really wild right now just like you have just said with the market drops.

Since there are many altcoins in the market then we need to buy which ever coin we want to buy and we also need to be at alert when we buy so that we will not end up buying a project that would end up becoming a rug pull. Rug pull happens almost everytime in the market so we need to be at alert and be conscious so that we will not end up holding for nothing.

Those 4 I listed above are all uptrend, the bitcoin is still on reversal but those coin that I mentioned are already above ahead with the general market. For those who are still picking what altcoins to invest in then you can follow my suggestion but remember to manage your risk because everything can happen in this kind of market. Entry well then you can have high reward that can secure and increase your capital.

ANT and OCEAN are also on my list. But I still hold more in BNB. because I see BNB continues to move up even though slowly. and Binance's strength that remains strong even though Fud continues to attack them. And recently BNB has carried out its 22nd burning. 2 million BNB coins were burned in the 22nd burning. Well, everyone has their own analysis. so I also do not expect others to follow me. but if they are interested, of course they must first do their own analysis before taking action.

SOL - one of the most promising alts right now Dubbed as ETH  killer. TPS is higher than ETH and way cheaper.

MATIC - just a got feeling. I might add this one to my portfolio soon. I just need to do more research if it's really good.

I'm not an expert. But I can say you should look out for ETH/BNB/SFP/TWT/CHZ. Because these alts show they don't depend on bitcoin price changes. They are going another way.

I think the best one to look at right now could be BNB, I see about a 10x return on it for the next bull run at least, and there is a chance it could reach as high as 20x return as well. It has already gone up a bit so far which means my calculation could be wrong but it's definitely there, plus it's one that will not go away too easily neither, it's going to be quite tough to handle it.

I need to look at bnb and eth as the biggest weapons in my portfolio because those are the ones I trust so much. Do I have something tiny that I trust? Sure, if you think CAKE is a small token then I trust that and have some, but I do not trust it enough to suggest everyone to get it, not that much.

I would say that the "promises" in some of those are just not good enough. I could also build a coin that has a higher TPS than ETH, and it would take me 10 minutes, did you know that? I know it sounds like a lie, but the codes are out there freely given and it's literally a 10 minute job to change the codes to show your coins name, and if possible logo, and that's about it there isn't really anything you need to change.

It would even have smart contract that you could build tokens on if you want to. It means that SOL is just a hyped project with nothing to show for as long as SOL team doesn't work, same with Aptos. You trust the team there, and not the blockchain and it's TPS, because that's the easy part.

Might not be the best coin to invest with but what I need is profit assurance which is unlikely to happen from hyped projects.

That is something regarding marketing and also the acceptance of the market at the same time. You could build something that is faster than SOL, but at the same time will it have as many investors as SOL? I do not think so.

This is why it is definitely going to be different, what you build in 10 minutes will not sustain how many people SOL has, if we sent that many transactions and interests towards it, it will crumble and crash. Even SOL sucks at that, whenever there is a huge interest, there are problems and it freezes and all that. Which is why I got out of that, and not own any SOL, but not because it was simple, it was because it has failed to live up to my expectations.

I understand your point but for sure there are different opinion regarding to how you see things with other project/s, and in terms of trading strategy there are also investors and traders who loves to take risk and follow the current trend to quickly earn profits. Some are okay with riding with hypes and do some short-trades either to earn or to lose. They are okay with whatever outcome and they simply move forward to their next prospect.

But on that note, if future goal I will follow you with your sentiment, ETH and BNB are still good for long-term hold, still far from the big potential growth that it can be achieved.
