Asking such a question in here is absolutely legit because that is the reason why this forum exists. If you are really a total newbie regarding cryptos, then be warned. Some of the answers you will receive if you ask a question like "what project is good to buy now" or "what project will rise in the future", will probably not be neutral answers to your question but just shill-answers of people that want you to buy the token that they are also invested in so they can dump on you.
As others in this thread already said, i think it could be a good move to buy some of the established projects now, because we are in a bear market. If you are buying now and are willing to hold a few years, then you should be able to make a nice profit.

I think the 3 Altcoins of your choice are pretty good and there is potential for hype in the future, even though I don't know when the exact time will happen.

I personally see 2023 as the year which will bring the demise of the Ethereum coin,the PoS one,the one we all knew until September 2022 as a great coin.Since moving to PoS they are offering nothing and they are also making it difficult for people who have staked their coins by extending the time they need their staked coins in order to be able to withdraw them,this does not sound well at all for Ethereum.

As a trader you should look into the price chart where you can know when to buy and how to timing the market. Altcoins will rise once there’s a good volume to push it so better to look on that. SOL might be a good one to buy now while its cheap but there’s a risk because of its connection to FTX, so consider other top altcoins. Bitcoin is still the best what I have I won't consider any other coin long term even though ETH has the second largest capitalist but I'm still not thinking about altcoins unless continuing to multiply bitcoins in 2023 is my goal.

Trader loves volatility. Also you can play future trading which can benefit up and down of the market. But for some long term trader or position guys, then doing a dca is the best way to beat inflation and price down. Just as you mentioned, 2022 was a very challenging year for most of us in the cryptocurrency space and altcoin was the worst hit by that wave of market crisis, most especially the collapse of terra Luna and FTX crisis that rocked the market and affected it in the most negative ways.
But in the year 2023, I will be concentrating more on Ethereum since its risk level is lower than other coins in the market, even though ethereum also witnesses market decline but it still remains the most reliable and stable among them all.

I'd honestly spend the time to study up on up-and-coming projects, you can probably take note of them from various news sources or even advertised here by fellow forum members. I wouldn't necessarily trust it to be a good investment though, it's still going to end up as you deciding what to invest in.

If are seeking market assurance then choose Ethereum and Bitcoin. In this way, you make yourself so easy and with no stress. I was not sure but 2023 is not still a tough year for crypto which probably we can see more altcoins dropping.
You can do research but I suggest that you focus on the top coins in the market before jumping to the bottom or to new projects to avoid losing your money from investing in worthless coins. Good potential for what? If what you are looking for are massive profits this is not really the moment to look for something like this, concentrate on dollar cost averaging and position yourself on good coins which will do well during the next bull market.

And once you have obtained good profits with them during the bull market you can decide if it is worth for you to invest in some risky altcoins at the time, but this is not a decision which can be taken now, as I am convinced the majority of the new coins which will do well during the next bull run are yet to be created.

I agree with you, I also bought some of the Altcoins that you mentioned above, because, in terms of utility, market capitalization and ecosystem have been pretty good so far, I also wanted to recommend the metaverse coin but as far as I can analyze it includes coin hype the same as NFT (worse). But the most recommended for Altcoin in 2023 is ETH where The Merge developer team has successfully transitioned Ethereum from proof of work to proof of stake in 2022, and the most impressive thing is that The Merge managed to complete the task without any obstacles. so in my opinion ETH is highly recommended if you want to invest in Altcoins.

Indeed Big altcoins would be a better option if you are looking for a more consistent investment or having less risk involvement. But if you are willing to go down for the profit, smaller names would be a good option BUT you need to know which is which. New tokens has higher rate of increase over big names in this industry but since we are talking about profit, bigger risk would be present. The market prices of new tokens or altcoins has a higher volatility in terms of their market prices. That is something regarding marketing and also the acceptance of the market at the same time. You could build something that is faster than SOL, but at the same time will it have as many investors as SOL? I do not think so.

I understand your point but for sure there are different opinion regarding to how you see things with other project/s, and in terms of trading strategy there are also investors and traders who loves to take risk and follow the current trend to quickly earn profits. If you could end up thinking about the future, if you start to consider what's going to happen with that project 10 years down the line, that is going to actually give you an understanding. I personally believe there are like 6-7 coins that could be still big 10 years later, bitcoin being the first one of course and ethereum + bnb is the others.

I do not want to name the others because there are too many arguments over it, but Litecoin has been around for over a decade now, and I guess that could be also said without a trouble coming my way. This is almost one year after you started this thread, and we both know that the best cryptocurrency, by far still remains Bitcoin, and when you come down to altcoins division then it still remains Ethereum. Bitcoin, has been on a steady price pump for months now, in anticipation of the coming bull run, and I know that Ethereum, is is also warming up to maintain it's position as the best altcoins to be cashed in as we await the bull run. There are other promising top altcoins to select from ,BNB, Solana, and the rest, you'd have to do your own research and decide for yourself which one to put your hard earned money into.
