That feels like not a bad thing, he is getting paid a lot of money and he has to pay taxes if he comes back, and paying taxes is something we all do. I mean a plumber working at the UK makes much less and still pays his taxes, why would it be a problem for Gerrard? He is not above the law and if he ends up with a tax paying situation that would actually be good, rich people trying to avoid taxes is not good at all. It confuses me when people claim that a player went for money rather than focusing on other benefits in football. What could be better than getting paid well for your efforts? Most of the players in Europe today who are from other continents come for the excellent money they will be paid here and cannot obtain elsewhere. I agree with you,  the Saudi Arabia clubs are strongly coming out and in the next few seas in ahead that league will become one of the most followed league in the same category with other international leagues such as premiere leagues,  champion leagues,  and La Liga respectively.

A lot has happened with some of the clubs that have brought attention to the Saudi Arabia club side and going forward,  a lot of other doors are going to be open for them to gain more international recognition.

The difference is there already, people pay more attention to the league now than they used to and even when Ronaldo joined the league people don’t pay much attention to the entire league but only Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. This season after the transfers made to the league everyone now knows the league will be so competitive and in a few years it might even be compared to the best leagues in the world. This has been the plan from the beginning, the Saudi league officials wants to uplift the standards of the league and I think they have achieved most of their objectives.
