I would really want to see Al Nassr be able to give a better competition for the title. I think they are a better club. And if they actually want to give good competition for the title, they will have to improve their performance. Already the point difference is very big. So not only they will have to perform well and consistently, but also they will have to pray that their opponent and especially Al Hilal keeps losing. But at the moment it does not seem like they are going to lose consistently. But we all know that anything can happen in football.

If Al Nassr won against Al Hilal in the previous match (matchday 15), they actually will have a better competition for the SPL trophy. Unfortunately, they got a big defeat, the missed the chance to shorten the point gap. So, it becomes more difficult for Al Nassr to compete for the title. However, I think AL Nassr still has the chance to be the champion if they can keep winning until the end of the competition. They must avoid to get a draw or more losses, the chance becomes smaller if AL Nassr experience bad results again.

Al Hilal is unbetable, they also look stronger. It is difficult to expect that they will miss points in the near future. They still has a high motivation to win, in this matter they will have bigger chance to keep winning in the next few matches.

Yes the match against Al Hilal could have been really great for Al Nassr if they could actually win. But unfortunately they were unable to win the match. And that has created a big difference in points with both of them. That is the reason why Al Nassr is at a very big disadvantage right now.  I feel like if the difference of Al Nassr was a little better, they could have definitely had a better performance.  You know Al Hilal is a team that is much more balanced compared to them.

Had Al Nassr defeated Al Hilal in their Saudi Pro League game that was played last two weeks, they would've narrowed the points difference at the top of the to just one point but after the Saudi champions defeated Al Nassr, they extended their lead at the top of the table to seven points and that is the main reason why a lot people thinks that catching up again with Al Hilal will be very difficult for Al Nassr. The Al Hilal team has been the most consistent team in the Saudi League this season and are yet to concede a defeat in the league but I still think Al Nassr have a chance to catch up with them if they are determined enough to do so.

Al Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo is the leading scorer in the Saudi league this season and has been very instrumental to the team's impressive performance since the start of the season so if he continues to average the same number of goals he already has this season, I'm very optimistic that Al Nassr can still win the league title at the end of the season

I'm following this game, Al Nassr is playing with all its best players, so far they have more possession of the ball, Talisca is not playing and is not on the list of players who were called up, but although he is a very important player for the team, I think that even without him Al Nassr would be able to come out of this game with victory, they are playing against a team that in the last 4 games they have not been able to beat in any game, while Al Nassr has done very well in the last games, After the defeat they had in the game against the league leader, they didn't let themselves get depressed, they continued to be in good emotional health and are playing well.

As of writing this post, the game is still in the 1st half and Al Nassr has already scored 1 goal and was winning the game, but the opponent scored a goal and the game is tied, but in my opinion they will be able to get out of this game with victory, the question here will be how many goals will they be able to score, how many goals will Ronaldo be able to score and how many goals will they concede. If they lose in this game against this weak opponent, then Al Nassr fans will be making nasty jokes in the stadium again, because it has been like this every time Al Nassr loses.

There are a lot of risks with this much money spending, if you keep on spending a lot of money for all teams, then eventually some of them will not be all that great. You can't have a league filled with winners, mathematically some of them needs to be worse than the others, and while Al Hilal looks great, teams like Al Ahli or Ittihad do not look like they are all that great.

We need to realize something that would be logical, it should be a benefit that would help everyone and should be something that could get to a point where it could be profitable. I understand life is not all that easy, we need to approach things like it is going to be something that should be like it is normal for some teams to underachieve even though they spent a lot of money.

I was seeing the Al Hilal stats and man, what a numbers they have, asides of the 0 defeats, they only allowed 3 goals in eight home games, truly amazing defensive performance.

Al Taawon just lost in the King's Cup to Al Hilal with a score of 3-0. in this match, Jorge Jesus played his main players and only Neves started the match from the bench. In this match, Al Taawon really had difficulty keeping up with a team that was on fire.  From a technical perspective, Al Hilal was much better and dominated the match. Based on the opportunities these two teams have, Al Hilal has a lot of opportunities. 3 goals were scored against Al Taawon by Michael, Mitrovic and Malcom. according to my estimation in the previous post, Al Taawon will be eliminated in the Quarterfinal match.
Likewise with Al Nassr, who won their match by overthrowing Al Shabab with a landslide score. So, these two teams qualified for the next phase of the King's Cup competition.

As for Al Taawon in the Saudi Pro League, this team is in 4th place in the standings and has the same 31 points as Al-Ahli. However, it seems that Al Taawon will have difficulty shifting the ranking position above them. In fact, it has the potential to be replaced by Al Ittihad if Al Taawon loses to Al Ettifaq in the match next week. but I see that Al-nassr is a worthy rival for Al-hilal because he also in the closest match that has been played, such as against Al Shabab won the match with a score of 5-2 and Cristiano Ronaldo of course scored a goal in that match. Ahli is not that strong right now. The club has more european stars even compared to the al hilal but they were still far away from being called as a good club. This is why al hilal was dominating everything as they have no good chemistry at this moment unlike al hilal.
The only main problems if they were not playing like they were a club. This also becomes the main problem that needs to be fixed by ahli as soon as possible. It will be a disaster if al ahli is going to be another ittihad.
Having lots of europpean players didn't give a guarantee if the club can win everything. Look at al hilal, the main thing was chemistry. If the players didn't have chemistry and it doesn't even matter how expensive your squad is and that will still useless.

But against Al Raed I thought I would see Al-Ahli win. But even after dominating the match, Al-Ahli players could not score a single goal. Al raed played poorly defensively. In 90 minutes they made only 2 shots while Al-Ahli players made 22 shots. Al-Ahli Jeddah failed to win despite performing well.

Raed was not a strong club and winning the game of it was a must for al ahli. It would be a shame if the club was unable to have good scores against al raed. Look at the differences in the shoots between al raed and al ahli.
Al ahli was dominating. Everything against raed but the result is very bad. It was getting only 4 shots on target. That means the rest of shoots are very wasteful shoots by al ahli.

But you can raise the competitive level with money and make the league more attractive for people to watch it. I think what you can't achieve within a decade is to copy the Premier League. There is more to that than just good players and if it was that easy, Saudi Arabia would simply keep pumping money into the Saudi Professional League hoping to build another top level league, but that is probably not sustainable. A lot is possible if there is unlimited money, but I doubt that a sustainable number of world class players would want to spend the majority of their career in Saudi Arabia. The money has been like a magnet for some of them and it is hard to say no to some of these contracts like Benzema or Ronaldo signed them, but Messi was the first popular player who decided against the SPL and went elsewhere, probably for reasons that are concerning his quality of life.

It is an impressive stats from a 39-years old player and many players were not able to play after their 35-years old and if they could, their performances drop a lot. Cristiano Ronaldo is an outstanding player who continues to break records and even Saudi Professional League can not compare to Premier League or La Liga, what he has been achieving in this 2023 year is amazing.

Scoring 10 more goals with only three matches in this year seems to be difficult for him but he does not need 60 goals to be recognized. Those three matches are tough ones for him and Al Nassr too so I am realistic that it is impossible task for Cristiano.

I only wait for the match between Al Ittihad and Al Nassr and expect an interesting fight between Cristiano and Benzema, both are ex-players of Real Madrid.

This means, they already know their weaknesses, and they are currently waiting until the transfer window opens to recruit top defenders from Eurupa. That's good, I hope Al Nassr plan can be implemented as it should. Yes, previously I heard too. There were rumors about Al Nassr, which are want to recruit Mario Hermoso, the Atletico Madrid defender. But I heard they want to recruit him without transfer fees, because Mario Hermoso contract will end in June 2024.

Honestly, I hope Al-Nassr doesn't wait until Mario Hermoso's contract ends next summer. Although it seems like there has been an agreement between them. But waiting until the summer transfer market will only make Al-Nassr's current defense worse. I think all Al-Nassr fans will also hope that Al-Nassr will bring in a top European defender in the current winter transfer market. Unless Al-Nassr is not aiming to win this season. Weaknesses in the defense sector really need to be addressed immediately this season and not wait for next season. But maybe only Mario Hermoso will be brought in in the summer transfer market. Cristiano Ronaldo struggled a bit last year... but he has been terrific so far in this season. BTW, the three remaining matches are all against very tough teams. Ronaldo maybe able to score, but it is going to be tough. Al Ittihad is another team that is owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and has terrific defenders such as Luiz Felipe in their squad. Al Ettifaq and Al Taawoun are not owned by PIF, but they are very strong teams. Al Taawoun is currently at the 4th place in points table. They also have good players such as Mailson and Mohammed Al-Ghamdi.

In the match against Al-Feiha we could see that Al-Taawoun had returned to their performance like at the start of the season. And it's good for them that they can beat Al-Feiha with a pretty good score. But I'm not sure Al-Taawoun will get good results in the next match when they face Al-Ettifaq. Because the team coached by Stevan Gerrard really cannot be underestimated. I will even favor Al-Ettifaq in the next match.

Currently when I see Al-Hilal in the SPL it reminds me of Napoli in Serie A last season who were also unbeaten since the start of the season. But I think it's a little boring. And I'm curious which team can ultimately beat Al-Hilal for the first time in the SPL this season.

In terms of ball possession, Al-Nasr dominated the team with 64 percent while Al-Hilal had 36 percent. Al-Nassr accuracy on target short did not much better while Al-Hilal did well. Al Nasl had only 7 fouls while Al-Hilal had 20. Al Nasr did well in this respect. Al Nasr got only 3 shorts on target while Al-Hilal got double 6. As there is a difference here, a big difference has been noticed in terms of goals. Al-Nassr should have done better if they lost the match by 2-3 goals the fans could have been a little bit more satisfied. Al-Hilal has been consistently performing. The point difference with their nearest rival is 7 which is much higher.

Just won last week but unfortunately Al-Ahli had to swallow another draw against Al-Raed. Maybe quite a lot of people lost money on this bet because of course they had their hopes for Al-Ahli winning, but they couldn't even score 1 goal. It is great achievement for a player whom they think was the problem at Manchester United. Ronaldo just seem to surprise us all when we are about to give up on him and when people start’s criticizing him he always proves them wrong. At his age this is not a small achievement even though some would say he is playing in the saudi league bug the fact is he really out of this world.
