European clubs have been dominant in this competition for the past 10 years or more because the difference in quality between the top European and South American clubs is too great.
South American clubs simply cannot keep up with European clubs financially and organizationally, and their best players leave early to play in the best European clubs.
Honestly, I don't know how strong Flamengo is right now, but I'm sure that Real will be the favorite in their final match.

I tried to find the odds for the championship, but there's nothing yet, of course Real Madrid is favorite, followed by Flamengo.
If there is a final between Flamengo and Real, I'll probably bet on Flamengo, depending on the odds.

Among all the teams listed in the OP , I only know about Real Madrid, the other names are all strange to me, Maybe this is because i am not actually that much into football games that are outside the normal world cup, like the one that just ended in Qatar last year..

Real Madrid being a popular team and one I've watched several of their matches, I would definitely agree that the cup might be an easy win for them, this is personal opinion though, like I said, I've never watched other teams on the list play, except for Real Madrid, I do have limited knowledge and also limited view to predict accurately .

In 2000 and 2012 - (in 2000 Corinthians played against Real Madrid and the match ended in a draw 2x2)

European clubs usually don't like to play the Club World Cup, they give more value to UCL than World Cup, they prefer and focus all on national championship and UCL, while south americans like to dispute all championships available.
Some years ago in Brazil, clubs disputed something like 6 championships in a year. Now it's 4.
Like I said above, Fifa is trying to sync the calendar.

Well I dont think it will get more attention by changing the format, because the winner will always be from europe. Beside that, it will impact the players themselves, which their risk to get injured would be much higher. I think FIFA only trying to get more monies from sponsorship, after seeing UEFA able to create Nations League and Conference League.

The shortest way is to take 4 teams that played in the semifinal of their main competition in each confederation. For any team in the Club world cup, it means they totally deserve to be there. Real Madrid although they were able to come from behind to win their game against Villarreal yesterday, I think the team is facing some crisis and are not doing well or being as reassuring as they were last season. If any of these teams that you've mentioned that Real Madrid will play against in the club world cup has a very good strong defence and are able to get themselves two goes up when they Real Madrid, I don't see Real Madrid coming back from that easily like in their Spanish league and even going to head to win the game.

I am sure that Fifa will select the teams based on the rankings of other leagues like the UCL, Libertadores, and the other continental Champions Leagues.
There won't be a qualifying phase as they do with the World Cup.

I suspect that they will also make the number of teams similar to the world cup, with more European and South American teams to attract more attention from around the world.
6 to 8 European teams would be my bet.
It could be something like the top 4 in the UCL, the top 2 in the Europe league + the top 2 in the Fifa ranking.


Fifa posted the tickets are on sale right now. I suspect Spanish fans of Real Madrid will travel to Morocco to watch the possible 2 matches, since both countries are close to each other.

I think the updated format could bring more attention to the tournament, after all the regular world cup is similar in the sense European teams dominate but South American teams can win it as well, as it was the case of the most recent world cup in which Argentina won, now when it comes the schedule a longer format will indeed impact the players, then it would be best to change this tournament from being held yearly to be held every four years just like the world cup.

It caught my attention too, which I dont understand how it could affect the VAR decision. I often imagine that the communication between referee in the field and the VAR reviewers is full of bad words such as "yo wtf why didnt you tell me earlier", "oh shit there was no offside?", "man that bastard deserves red card" and now they cant do that anymore when everyone can listen them

I think the updated format could bring more attention to the tournament, after all the regular world cup is similar in the sense European teams dominate but South American teams can win it as well, as it was the case of the most recent world cup in which Argentina won, now when it comes the schedule a longer format will indeed impact the players, then it would be best to change this tournament from being held yearly to be held every four years just like the world cup.

LOL.. no surprises yesterday. It was a one-sided match in which Al Ahly got completely destroyed by Real Madrid. The only goal for Al Ahly was scored byAli Maâloul, and that too from a penalty. It would have been a decent match for the Egyptians, but they imploded during the injury time, which allowed Real Madrid to score two more goals (from Rodrygo and Sergio Arribas). I was impressed by both these players. They are in their early 20s, and have the potential to make it big. Rodrygo have been more or less regular in the Madrid XI, and I hope Arribas will soon get his regular spot.

The match between Flamengo and Al-Hilal was close, as expected. Out of the total of 5 goals, 3 came from penalties. Salem Al-Dawsari score twice (both from penalties). Flamengo was unlucky to lose the match despite having maximum possession (51% vs 40%). Now the final match will be played between Real Madrid and Al-Hilal. I don't want to predict the outcome, but Al Hilal will be the underdogs by a long distance.

I have some news about the next Cup in 2025

The new format of the tournament will consist of eight groups of four, with the top two teams of each group going through to a knockout round.

I don't agree with you. The existing calendar of club and national team competitions is already quite physically demanding for all football players, and adding new competitions would really be too much for them.
