What's the deal with LMS and H2H questions? We have to get the whole answer right for it to count as a correct answer for the LMS competition? I thought that H2H questions do not count for the LMS at all.

To win a point from a H2H question in LMS competiition, no other participant must be better than you.

Yep, only the best result across all Divisions in H2H questions earns a point for LMS. I have no chance of getting that by being smart with Netherlands - although they will be close.

Japan was personally a surprise, and France really underachieved. I'd say that 7 golds in swimming was an overachievement by Australia as well.

Re buys this early should be a no brainer. Less than 15$ and everything to play for. After we pass half the rounds some calculations are possible but for now I am buying back if I am out.

So with China it's 1 90% gold, and 1 1% gold in running event.

With USA it's 90% gold in basketball, 50% gold in volleyball, 2 25% golds in other sports and 1% gold in running.

Meaning to say, most likely draw. Second most likely China win. Third most likely USA win.

USA was like 1.05x to have most gold in the start. But they had too many silver and bronze in the end.

We still have loads of different answers including SB new team Hull. Why did I go against them

So far my situation is complicated - down 0:2 and without correct answers so far. At the end of day it was good your decsion to go against Hull and you got point for it.

Yes in the end, it was a good instinct for Hull and for Sinner (somehow lately I have tried to go against the favorites as instinct, because of my poor relegation performances of past seasons).

And now because our medal tallies are exactly the same I guess I can safely count the 3 points. It's a new feeling for me, I don't think I ever started this well in division 1 before. Lucky of course to win with so few points!!

Edit: Usa won another gold. Thats mean its just Basketball women left. And they should win that match.. It will end with Usa 40 Gold and China 40 gold.. Damn!!!!!!!

Wait, Jinetics1111 why did you say yesterday that you list this round to me? Now that Sinner lost his game, it's a 3-3 draw, isn't it? It all comes down to the last question about the number of gold medals. I have no idea how many gold medals for each nation is left today, but that Sinner question ruined me twice - it makes me have to rebuy for the LMS and it gave you a point for 3-3.

Was frustrated with this round bro but I guess you must always wait till the end. To get a draw from this round would be good enough for me I must say and goodbye damn Olympics back to reality with the questions.

I wanted this result, because I actually needed China to win to win my final H2H and secure this round vs darxiaomi but I don't like probabilities and mathematically, but with only 2 true medals left to fight for, the BEST US can hope for is a draw (well, actually they would be #1 on the medals tally for superior medals but in BSFL we're only looking at gold haha). But I need them to lose outright to win my H2H haha.

So yeah, China just won the weightlifting gold (which was expected) for 40 golds. As pointed out above by Rikafip and slaman29, USA actually has 1 certain gold (basketball). That would take them to 39. They have/had 3 other events today:

Women's volleyball (Lost)
Women's wrestling (Lost)
Women's omnium: Legitimate chance with a team of 2 gold medalists from the women's team pursuit. And I think US is now in a huge lead... they are winning gold now for sure. (99%)

So, darxiaomi, our battle this round is a worthy epic, and will boil down to basketball. If US wins, then we tie on our first 2 selections:

You: USA, China, Australia, France, GB
Me: China, USA, France, Japan, GB

So... we actually don't get anything from there, what a shame. I actually wish I had more faith in Japan to bump them up to 3rd.

Yeah, if I'm counting this correctly - if USA wins the basketball gold the top 5 will be USA, China (split 1st and 2nd place), Japan, Australia, France.
With this I'd tie the question and win the round, so go USA

It does says so and the odds for USA to win on this is like 1.05 so thats like guaranteed gold there so yeah 1st and 2nd would be USA and China

Damn thats a draw for us I guess. Sinner losing the game was really unfortunate for me. Kinda wonder if they actually stick with the original schedule if rain wasnt interrupting the game in the fist place, he probably would have win the game but oh well. Im still out of the LMS either way but Im still crossing my fingers here hoping that USA lose in basketball

Japan have also been fighting their way forward over the last few days and I expect them to finish third.

So all eyes on the women's basketball game, personally I'm hoping for a victory for France.
