I'm really impressed with the new blood from Clubtalk, Slissy, Navid and Jinetics the ones I remember most and no surprise they're doing well in BSFL. I daresay if we poach players and managers from FPL/ClubTalk or even the MMA threads (and I see the rugby thread has some really active guys)... 8 players doable. They might expect more of their sports in the questions though.

With the way the league is set up, the two-legged game will not work, and we may end up playing 40 games per season. buwatress will burn out

40 including cup ties, yeah, I already can't imagine the psychological toll on Cro2 to come up with double the questions (if we play 2x week).

We kinda said the competition will be 70% football based. Therefore we can't have double rounds per week - throughout most of the season all football's being played Fri-Sun.
We navigate it somehow when we have double Cup rounds in the same week, but we'd prefer not to do it throughout the season. It would dilute the football questions - and that's something we strongly feel would be detrimental to the competition.

I'm 99% certain we'll keep the weekly format for the BSFL.

it is all about Rugby, we are completely opposite there, I am New Zaeland and under, you are France and over, Portugal scoring 2/3 goals, over/under cards in Uruguay vs Chile and 2/3 sets lost in WTA US open - all that are not yes/no, so we could both miss it

Umm why?

For maximum transparency.
He did submit his answers and his opponent did not. In that case we always hide the answers of the person who already submitted, not to give advantage to the person that is yet to submit.

Considering that Trofo can edit the spreadsheet, it is not fair that his answers are hidden. Therefore in such cases we additionally send our answers to some neutral members who will later be able to confirm that Trofo did not change his answers while they were hidden.

Me and Cryptofrka, we have 9 different answers, only the tennis semifinalists agree on the answer, I think that the first time a round happens to me like this, it will be interesting

I really don't but If there is anything I've been very happy about since I became very addicted to Tennis, that's watching Coco Gauff play, she brings it all in on court, the Grands slam at home, or nothing feels like the mission here, and I fancy her chances big time!

It's quite a tricky one for me and Slissy the questions we have inconsistencies with are actually the coinflip questions for this, looking at how significant this round mean for either of us, I guess we'll find out.

Every new season you are introducing more punishment, maybe we should start adding new special unique names for each season.

I agree on the part of freebets duel not being carried to the next round, it should be settled at the end of each round by any means necessary, I would also edge towards it being awarded to the person with the earliest submission in cases where there no other means of separating the ties.


Shelton is giving Tiafoe a run for his money, but I still feel he'd get cocky and overplay his game plan or not execute it properly, which is why I went for Tiafoe, but Shelton is name to be wary of in Tennis for the next few years.

I actually quite like the idea to settle free bet duels by early submission. It does get strange sometimes with the way it is set up now. Cryptofrka and me had a free bet duel going for months  

It has the added benefit of early submission which is something we would definitely like to see. We will take the idea into consideration for sure.

I started our duel with 1:0 lead and than got everything else wrong. I felt especially hard done on tennis questions. Could have so easy turned to my favor both in men and women draws. But that is luck for you, sometimes falls your way and sometimes against you. Hopefully this week will be better.

Yeah, I just checked the table and at first I had a feeling we have all our answers the same. I see that you desperately need points to avoid relegation, but unfortunately so do I. I'm currently sitting at the 4th place which looks great, but the difference between 4th and 11th place is only four points so it will be interesting to see how the last three rounds go.

Then I just repeated the same method for fairness going forward.
How it should be from next season is that in freebet ties the H2H questions will be taken into consideration.

I was against rewarding early submissions, but considering we have VAR now I feel that it makes way more sense.
If after H2H duels between tied players we still won't have a winner, it makes sense to award the early submission.

We also don't like to see draws for the freebets, it's so much more work for us as well

So - in short:
- first we check your totals (initially you can get a point for the H2H question only if you're the best in the whole Division)
- then we check H2H questions between the tied players (if you already won a point in that H2H question you can't get another one, of course)
- if it's still a tie after all the H2H questions were analyzed, whoever submitted earlier will be the freebet winner

back to sport, Germany beats Latvia, but it could on other side, when Latvia started melting Germany's advantage in final moments, it looked like they will succeed as against France or Spain, but didn't

Yeah, it sounds OK. I didn't like the proposal that the freebets duels are settled by an early submission. In division 1 the freebet is a $40 reward which is a nice sum of money. It could potentially lead to people rushing to submit answers. At least those that have a freebet duel. This proposition is much better. H2H duels rarely end up with a draw so there probably won't ever be a need to settle a freebet duel by who submitted earlier.

If there is a duel between a team that submitted early without waiting for deadline results/News and those who waited for deadline results/News to submit answers, the team that won despite those disadvantages deserves to be declared a winner of freebets. Honestly.

For instance, those of us who submitted late yesterday now know the outcomes of the Tennis quarter finals and half of the FIBA World Cup results, unlike the teams who submitted answers before those results. See it as a reward for submitting early.

If this had been adopted this season, I could have already earned two free bets for submitting early.

As per current results and form I think it is more likely you drop to Div 2 then me promoting to Div 1  But we will need to arrange some kind of face off. How about friendly match when we have cup final on schedule. No stakes except small aide bet between us and lifelong bragging rights.
