I'm very happy to maintain my lead by winning 3 points after a challenging competition with Strongkored. I'm proud of my team because of their collecting 19 points in their first 8 matches of the season. Maybe I'm going to play one of the most important matches of the season against the last champion vd309 next week. And I'm very excited because of that.

Seems to be no coincidence that it's me with a game in hand who was the only one to beat you this season! Painful loss right in the first round when Trofo destroyed me 6-3, but good recovery so far. Though, there are still 6 free points included from casperBGD and lees-1334 failing to submit. But I am satisfied with how it has been going recently. I was finally able to improve my goal difference a little. But you deserve the lead as you got the best offense across all leagues so far.

Can I ask you why did you choose to back Tsitsipas to win tournament? Personally, I got burnt with him so many times.

He was really dominant in Monte Carlo, had a manageable draw as well. In these ATP500 tournaments top players usually have their first difficult games in the semifinals.
For Tsitsipas it could have been Nadal (just returning, not a threat at this point), Musetti (lost early) or de Minaur - all players that I felt wouldn't trouble him in his current form.

I won't ever take Tsitsipas to win on any other surface, but he's actually one of the best in the world on clay at this moment.

Nope, no way to put it in the budget. We don't expect it to ever happen, so if we put it in we have unused funds - which we feel it's better to spend on rewards.
If it ever hits, we'll ask SB if something can be done. No promises though, but I'm sure they'd agree with it.

Thiem actually hasn't qualified yet, he still has one more qualifying game to win in order to make it to the main draw, and his next match is against a better ranked player Kokkinakis (no. 93).


The draws aren't random by any stretch they happen according to rankings or seeds for the tour, even for the qualifiers they do have seeds for it as well. So whoever wins the last seeds position from the qualifiers by default gets to play the 1st seed for the tournament. For ATP 1000 events like the Madrid open most are usually a 64 man tournament with the top 8 seeded getting a bye for the first round (some have expanded to 96 players, meaning more bye for more players in the first round, e.g Indian Wells Open), meaning there are supposedly 58 players in total, the seeded 32 players are default by their atp rankings for those who are eligible for the tour, so the remaining 26 slots are battled for in the tournament qualifiers, in some cases it could be fewer, if the tournament features Wild Cards (WC) or players with protected ranking (PR), the latter as the case with Nadal currently is. Nadal are surely going at loggerheads again, provided Nadal wins his first game

Thank you for your nice words. If I was able to defeat you I was going to be in a much more comfortable situation in the league now. However I'm very happy with the place I'm in now. I hope that I manage to maintain my current place until the end of the season. However as there is still another unplayed half of the season everything can change quickly.

Magic of cup games is very apparent this season. In FA Cup, Liverpool lost to United, then United needed VAR and luck to escape from Coventry!

In Spain, the finalists were both without big trophy for decades so whoever won was a huge deal.

In Germany, the first time title winners meet lower tier team who will probably be relegated, and even could already be relegated by the time they play finals.

I wouldn't call it giving up. It is more expectations management since I am loosing in first round every year anyway 

This way there is no pressure at least.

If you're in the top 10 then yes, you're free in the qualifiers. The form requires you to insert something, so put in whatever.

We will grade your answers because it's easier to grade them all, but they won't be counted.
