Crikey Jinetics my man, when you posted this, it was 4-1 in my favour after a surprise Spain upset but just a few hours later, you're back in the race! You got the Brazilian draw, 4-2, and then you got Piastri who finished 4th, so it's now 4-3. All that separates us (H2H we have the exact picks) is Arsenal and Spurs... if you win that point, we draw 4-4!

And Davis Cup is the perfect example of how research can actually ruin your round (as Trofo also notes)... I went Italy and Spain purely because I was thinking of Sinner and Alcaraz. Not knowing neither was joining the tournament. Not knowing that Spain wasn't even seeded!

Had I spent just a couple of minutes more (which I did after submitting) I'd have gone Germany and Italy (Seeded 1 and 2).

I had to check the spreadsheet on progress while the Arsenal Vs Spurs game was still on and seeing that I needed Spurs to get a goal against an Arsenal team that had been absolute right on their defense, coupled with the fact that they were already leading 3:0 early into the second half, I sure did hoped something could pop out of the blue because, Woodie was just going to run me over after a bad start.

Even then, it was a close one, really close. On the H2H, Woodie and I shared very distinct thoughts on most of the games and almost tied, almost but, Atletico Madrid wasn’t out to give him that chance, stealing a victory with very little time on the clock, that settled Woodie for me.
