I gave futsal a fair chance but I honestly hate it so much. It is extremely tactical, kills any joy, revolves around the same patterns and then it's just about who technically does them better.
I'd rate it in the 'waterpolo' bracket in my sports list - watch it only if I'm forced to. With a gun.

+1 for futsal. Its one of the sports I love(d) playing, but never liked to watch it, despite numerous tries to get into it.

Yeah I guess that's one way of looking at it, the way I look at it this will give me some fire in the gut and give me more drive to do better. I don't really focus on the prize cause then I'll lose focus on the main goal which is just to win, like counting the chickens before they hatch I just make winning the ultimate goal prizes are secondary to me at least.

I like to watch 5-a side as well - when I was a kid Bundesliga teams used to have tournaments during the winter break and they were shown on TV. It was amazing.
Croatian teams did it for a while as well and I watched some of it live - but then the clubs stopped the practice because of fatigue/injury.

I think 5-a side has real potential. It is being played professionally as well but somehow receives basically no interest at all.

I think Juventus didnt care so much about CUP and they decided to focus their powers more on Champions League and match with Galatasaray.
They dont have very good chances to win Seria A, but they need to stay in top four position for next season in Europe.
My prediction was draw for this match, and I am still down one point in this round

Only worth watching at this stage, and when on occassion. I really like 5v5, and even street version, only because it was what I played a lot in late 20s, and found I did better there than on proper pitch, I always supposed because my physicality was less important. But you are right: at this level, it is not a great spectacle as a tournament.

Yep this is so true and unless you watch it when you were young, I doubt anyone would really enjoy it because its lame compared to football. Same pattern over and over again until the opposition make a mistake but yeah it resembles my childhood when I was playing football with the other kids on the small field

This is a decent season for Atalanta, they have a chance in to stay in Champions League against Dortmund, but I think they are slacking in Seria A.
I suspect that matches in Italy are fixed more than in other top leagues, and everyone remembers what happened with Juventus when they got expelled to lower league.

I'm also trying to follow the Winter Olympics, and the event we're all waiting for will start in 5-6 hours from now. I have no idea if their practice run means anything, but the results were mixed, with USA, Italy, and Canada finishing first throughout the three practice rounds.

I hope Switzerland doesn't disappoint once the real thing starts later today, so we get to end this round a bit earlier than expected.

For having better results and jumping in higher Divisions needs to check many things as its never been going to enter without having enough information about relative sports.

It was getting very much popular when I was living in the city,,, suddenly you could find a lot of sports halls dedicated to futsal/5-aside, and less and less basketball and badminton,,, which was the old case before if you had indoor sports

Then I moved country to a richer one, and I saw even less, pickleball and tennis and squash instead,,, then I understood it is all about how rich the country is to see what sports it has indoors  

We should all encourage this 5-aside,,, maybe we can all make money starting with BSFL
