It is good to see the Pakistan Super League maintaining its quality, even after the departure of many of its overseas players. Lahore Qalandars managed to win big, mainly due to the performances from Mohammad Naeem and Kusal Perera. And in the second innings, Shaheen Shah Afridi proved almost impossible to handle. He returned figures of 3.1-1-3-3. These are unbelievable figures in a T20 match. Salman Mirza at the other end was exceptional as well. Final will be played tomorrow,  between the Qalandars and the Gladiators.

They needed to chase 202 runs but they ended up getting only 107 runs. You can't show a more poorer performance than this in a knockout match. The highest scorers from the Islamabad team were Salman Agha, who made 33 runs, and Shadab Khan, who made 26 runs, while the rest of the batsmen could not even make a double-digit run. This shows how badly they were eliminated from this PSL yesterday.

Islamabad United's performance was very disappointing. This team had scored a huge 251 against Karachi Kings a few days ago. But we have seen bad batting from the batsmen in the last two matches.

We did not expect the team to play so badly against Lahore Qalandars. Batting at a target of 203, Islamabad managed only 107 runs. In such an important match, Islamabad lost by a huge margin of 95 runs. Despite the strong batting order, the team could not play well.

Last night Fakhar Zaman did not play long innings, got out early and Abdullah Shafique too but Lahore's middle order is too strong and Kusal Perera scored 61 off 35 balls. I think Lahore's recent form will make them the favorite for this final.

The match is gradually becoming very competitive. As I said, if the bowlers of Quetta Gladiators do not do well, they have no chance of winning. Because Lahore's batsmen are in form. But Quetta Gladiators squad was unable to defend their huge scores while Lahore Qalandars squad successfully achieved all targets with close outcome. Many many congratulations to Lahore Qalandars for winning 2025 PSL trophy and winning this match was not easy task. Their batsmen were under a lot of pressure first because of big target and second because their main batter Fakhar Zaman, failed to deliver his real performance. Quetta Gladiator squad was managed to collect 201 scores after playing 20 overs inning with lost of 9 batter wickets.
