Lahore Qalandar scored 200 runs.  Which is an average of 10 runs per over. Multan Sultans have to keep the run rate at 11 per over from the start.  Then they can beat this target and win. It is also doubtful whether they can maintain such a run rate till last over. Afridi batted very well and scored very well.  He only got a chance to play 15 balls in which he covered 44 runs. Hit 5 sixes and 2 fours in 15 balls. his batting was excellent

In the final match Lahore Qalandars keep a great performance as they set a big target of 200 runs to the opposing team Multan Sultans. However, Multan Sultans are in a good position in the match while playing on that target. 122 runs have been collected with the loss of 3 wickets. 79 runs needed from 44 balls to win. The match is still under the control of Multan Sultans. Currently the required run rate is above 11 if they can't reduce it then the match gradually will be very difficult.

According to me the win happened through Shaheen Afridi who managed to score 44 runs from 15 balls. This score helped reach 200 and the same looks to be a big target. Multan Sultans went close and they were unlucky. Anyhow the final match was really a final.

What an end. Victory for Qalandars by just 1 run and they now become the first team to win PSL twice in a row. You cant get better Final of T20 then this. The match went to the last ball.
Abbas Afridi brought back the Sultans in the game and they needed 4 runs on very last ball of PSL. Shaheen Shah had a perfect game as he picked 4 wickets and scored 44 runs.
Really feeling bad as I was supporting sultans. Congrats to Qalandars for giving us a thriller.

What a wonderful performance. The final match of the PSL is truly worthy of praise. Lahore Qalandars were in the leading position for a long time in the tournament. After losing the qualifier match, Pakistan Super League, 2023 champion Lahore Qalandars won by just 1 run in the final with the same team. In the 19th over Multan Sultans collected 22 and 11 runs in the 20th over. Multan Sultans lost at the end just 1 runs. It's really heard for them to accept. But repeatedly I would say again this tournament was really awesome.

Here I have to praise Sultans as well, but Khushdil Shah has never been winning player this is happening second or third time he fails to hit in last over, and they lost match by very narrow margin he needs to check his mistakes and settled this before it's too late but still good win for the Qalandars as they are now second time champions with both times they defeated Sultans it's a good achievement for the all players.

Irrespective of who won the final, I have to say that this year's tournament was extremely competitive. The matches were of exceptional quality and some of the top T20 players in the world took part in the competition. Yesterday Najam Sethi claimed that PSL surpassed IPL in terms of digital viewership (although I have doubts over this claim). He also claimed to have record attendance and ticket sales for this season, which seems to be the case. But then, this season was not without its fair share of drama. During the final stages, there was a dispute with Punjab government, over security expenses.

BTW, the big news is that Najam Sethi is proposing to expand the number of franchises in the PSL to 8. That means that two new franchises will be added to the league in the next few years. Owners of the existing franchises are not quite happy about this, as they are worried that it will further dilute the revenues that they are receiving. Also, there is an agreement between Rameez Raja (when he was the PCB chief) and the franchise owners, which limited number of teams to 6 till 2025. Sethi says that he will be able to convince the franchises.

To be honest, it was a heart wrenching final for the Multan team as they felt heart break after coming so close to win the match but yet so far. How sad it is for a team to lose a final match by one run. You can call them extremely unfortunate.

BTW, the big news is that Najam Sethi is proposing to expand the number of franchises in the PSL to 8. That means that two new franchises will be added to the league in the next few years. Owners of the existing franchises are not quite happy about this, as they are worried that it will further dilute the revenues that they are receiving. Also, there is an agreement between Rameez Raja (when he was the PCB chief) and the franchise owners, which limited number of teams to 6 till 2025. Sethi says that he will be able to convince the franchises.

Do you think increasing the number of franchises will do any good to the league? It will only create more matches and people may lose interest if there are too many leagues with too many matches. I would suggest them to keep with only six teams and if other leagues want to join, they may have competition with the last 2 teams (Karachi and Quetta in this case) and if they can beat them in PSL qualifiers they may eliminate them to join the 2024 PSL. That's my suggestion.

Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, was truly exceptional and his performance was nothing less than extraordinary. If the number of matches increases, the quality of the game will also be questioned. A different image appears in the viewer's mind. As the franchises grow, the number of matches will naturally increase. But the way PSL 2023 has managed this season, it won't be bad if they manage in this way 2024 as well. But its organizing committee may think differently. In this regard if they get any financial advantages, they can take that according to their convenience.

An interesting final indeed at one point game totally went out if Lahore Qalandars hand after harus Rauf over but thanks to zaman Khan for keeping the game alive for Qalandars.

Either way it is clear that he is a talented player who gave it his all in this match.
