Yeah, if this war situation doesn't diffuse quicky, then i think will the international players be willing to visit Pakistan to play in PSL. There are a lot of security concerns and I don't think any player will be willing to travel to Pakistan in this situation. Even I am not sure that whether we will have PSL start on time or maybe it will be delayed.

PSL is to start from 26 March and we have less than a month to get the things going and hope the world is at the peace soon and we can enjoy the cricket action.

We know the situation is getting worse with Afghanistan, and it has reached the brink of open war, which could start at any time. Additionally, Pakistan has had clashes with India, and now the war in Iran, which has touched the borders of Pakistan, brings a lot of security issues. In this context, how will international players come to Pakistan for the PSL? So far, none of the players have expressed their views about not coming to Pakistan, but some of them might do so soon. With only three weeks left until the PSL, we can hope that all the security issues can be resolved so that the PSL goes smoothly.

I agree this because Pakistan has never been stable, they are facing many internal issues, while the recent Iran vs America/Israel is also going to have a big impact on their economy, which is already dependent on IMF and Gulf funding.

Bro I am not expecting this war to be long enough because now it's a matter of days Israel/USA already have their target but now it's Iran who is trying to bring balance and hitting all around, but in case it takes time, then most likely PSL could be postponed because now UAE is also under attack.
Pakistan is also facing problems due to their conflict with Afghanistan, and this war is increasing problems for them here one thing that is important is how Pakistan will do this because in tense situations many foreign players will not join their teams, especially players from Australia.
Currently, just waiting and watching is best, with most chances, things could be normal within a few days.

Well, Pakistan wouldn't want this tournament to get further delayed because of war or any such situation. There are two problems for them if this get delayed, first they don't want that the IPL and PSL dates overlap as this will hurt their viewership as most of the sponsors and viewers would love to watch IPL and not PSL.

Secondly, it is the weather. As more the dates get delayed we move into the summer and players would like to play back to back matches in hot humid conditions.

Today PCB has done good work on one thing, which brings some good excitement for fans. Multan Sultans are back in the lineup for next season's league, and Sialkot Stallions have agreed to have the name Multan Sultan.

Well in my view that's a great decision to bring back Multan sultan to PSL, because established identities like them can bring more excitement to the tournament compared to the completely new franchises(i-e Silakot stallion) as Multan have already huge number of fan base which we have seen mostly in thier matches with a jam-packed stadium, So definitely his comeback will be quite beneficial in term of marketing perspective too for owners. While on the other hand most of fans critics PSL management decision for allowing owner to rename team because silakot fans were desperately waiting for his team debut as they already have rich cricketing history but unfortunately thier journey end even before debut.

Auction has been completed for PSL 2026 (this is the first time they are having auctions, in the previous editions they had draft instead). There were quite a few surprising signings. Khuzaima bin Tanveer of the United Arab Emirates was chased down by multiple franchises, before Karachi Kings finished the deal at PKR 9 million. Blessing Muzarabani, who had a base price of PKR 11 million went unsold. Sameer Minhas, who was their star during the recently concluded U19 world cup went to Islamabad United for PKR 19 million. Notable retentions include David Warner, Mohammad Waseem Jnr and Rishad Hossain.

Before there was PSL auction in which we have seen an agency called something like OZ developers purchased an team for 1.85 billion and named it Sialkot even at a stage they have been revealed the logo and many other things but then decision changed, they pushed Multan Sultan back.

Multan Sultan got out of the tournament due to some issues for PCB and their previous owner then instead of that place of the team, OZ developers purchased it and named it Sialkot but now again Multan Sultans are back, so it is the thing to be happy for Multan Sultan while very disappointed and bad for Sialkot fans.

Well Multan sultan owner Ali tareen wasn't happy with team valuation and also some PSL management decision, so he start bully them as a result management issues them a notice for public apologize, but as soon as he reject PSL management withdraw team rights for him. Now OZ after purchase rights decide to sell some major share with CD venture and allot him Team CEO Seat too, so in results new CEO Gohar shah were actually belong too Multan so to show his love and gratitude for his people and place he brought back Multan sultan in game. Morever it's already established brand and have huge following so such move were More productive although PSL management raised thier annual fees by 15million pkr too for allowing them to secure already existed brand.

Logistics is going to be a nightmare. Indian airspace is closed to Pakistani flights, and now the entire GCC region is closed as well. Dubai used to be the hub from where overseas players usually travelled to Pakistan. But hardly any aircrafts are operating there as of now. And also, there is no guarantee that fighting will not spread to Pakistan, as Iran is a neighbouring country. With the first match scheduled for 26th March, there is still a lot of uncertainty remaining. In my opinion, it will be better for the PCB to postpone this tournament to May and finish it by end of June.

PSL (Pakistan Super League) is finally here, at the end of this month, this wonderful league about to take start from the 26th of March and Lahore Qaddafi Stadium will host the first match between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad as well as the opening ceremony.

By the way, it looks so interesting that this time there are many different stadiums to host the games such as Peshawar and Imran Khan stadium in Peshawar has been totally renovated. Some years before due to poor electricity and poor management the stadium was even removed for the domestic games but now cricket is almost back there.

The situation is interesting because now Donald Trump wants to end the war, but Iranians are not in a hurry, making things more problematic, while Pakistan always has geopolitical importance in this region, so PSL is surely going to suffer, especially as Australians will not travel to Pakistan.

Yeh both side indopak Hyderabad franchise love to have huge variety of aggressive batters, that's why Kingsman not only sign saim and maaz to utilize better power play but have natural hitter like Sharjeel, Shayan Jahangir as well as Usman Khan to secure things at top order, morever having bunch of finisher like Kushal, Maxwell and several other at middle order somehow make them one of aggressive side of the tournament and definitely I will not shock even they smashed 200+ at every match. Anyways they have edge and were expecting to dominate to tournament for upcoming season but lack of experience player may put them in trouble as most of thier player were young.

Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen is a new franchise and they are paying $6.24 million per year to the PCB as franchise fees. But they have  managed to get a number of high performing players in their team. Marnus Labuschagne and Kusal Perera will strengthen their batting, and they have Glenn Maxwell and Hammad Azam in the middle order. For pace bowling, they have hired Riley Meredith and Ottniel Baartman, supported by local players Akif Javed and Mohammad Ali. However, they look very weak in spin department. And that is going to be their main weakness in PSL 2026.

They are going to be the second big league in cricket, and they can bring some good improvements as well. Currently, the Iran situation is also a big threat for Pakistan and the PSL, while a few social media posts clearly show this war is not going to end in the near future, which could be not good. Here the PCB can go with the BCB, which will surely be good for them because Bangladesh is the third-biggest country by population in the cricket world, while Australian and English players will never feel good about joining the PSL in the current regional situation.
