Women's Ashes being played between Australia Women and England Women. Both the teams are at their best. It resembles same as the first test match that took place between Australia and England men's team. End of day 3, Australia with 92 runs lead and 10 wickets in hand means there is more chance for a draw. If there happens consecutive wicket fall we can see thrilled match. The performance from both the teams were really impressive, because if it was other teams surely they could've never crossed 200 runs. Australia have scored 473 runs in the first innings with the top performance coming from Annabel Sutherland scoring 137* runs. Following the performance, England have scored 463 runs with the top performance coming from Tamsin Beaumont scoring 208 runs.

Australia managed to win the match by 89 runs, after setting England a target of 267 runs. None among the England won managed to put up any resistance, apart from Danni Wyatt (who made 54). Ashleigh Gardner took 8 wickets with her spin and the pitch also offered a lot of support for the spinners. This was the only test match in the series, so Australia has won the series 1-0. Now there is a set of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs to be played by these two teams. The first T20I match will be played at Edgbaston on 1st July.

England Women vs Australia Women T20

Australia Women team won the toss and decided to bowl. England opener Sophia Dunkley played well scoring 56 runs. Other top orders didn't contributed much. At the middle order Heather and Amy Jones built good partnership and reached 153/7 in 20 overs.

Australia Women started chasing the target and it was Beth Mooney who scored 61* runs helped them win the match in 19.5 overs reaching 154/6. Other contributors Tahlia McGrath 40 runs and Ashleigh Gardner with 31 runs.

Australia Women team won the toss and decided to bowl. England opener Sophia Dunkley played well scoring 56 runs. Other top orders didn't contributed much. At the middle order Heather and Amy Jones built good partnership and reached 153/7 in 20 overs.

First T20 match between the two teams at Birmingham was a close one. Australia women's team won the match just in the last over making it an exciting finish. Melie Kerr got out with 19 runs from 36 balls. 2 batsmen of New Zealand Women team batted very badly. For which now New Zealand Women are under a lot of pressure. Sri Lanka Women started to perform very well in bowling.

First T20 match between the two teams at Birmingham was a close one. Australia women's team won the match just in the last over making it an exciting finish. I am hopeful to see more close matches between the two teams and waiting for the next match which will be played on Wednesday 5th July at The Oval.

I was able to watch the match and since the beginning the two teams have been competing strictly to be able to score runs.
If you look at it from the start, even though the matches were very tight and outperformed each other, it was clear to the Australian team that they were a little behind, but when they reached the end round, Australia seemed to have recovered and they managed to catch up to win.
Which is amazing for Australia but unfortunately I didn't get to bet on that match because from the start it was harder to tell who would win the game.

New Zealand women team is batting againist the Srilankan women team and scored 118 runs in 29 overs with two wickets

Since both teams have won one match each, this will turn out to be the series decider. New Zealand needs to score runs near 300 in order to confirm thier victory.

She scored 140 runs in only 80 balls and it was just treat to watch this innings.

The first innings of the New Zealand women's team lasted for 31 overs, then due to rain, the New Zealand women's team did not get a chance to bat in the first innings. The New Zealand women's team was 127 runs for 2 wickets in 31 overs. Although the wicket was sufficient, the New Zealand women's team was far behind in terms of runs, due to which an easy target was presented to the Sri Lankan women's team in the DLS system and the Sri Lankan women's team was able to fulfill that easy target easily. Sri Lanka Women won the ODI series against New Zealand Women by winning the third and final ODI match with eight wickets in hand.

Thailand got bowled out for 149 runs, in reply to 204 made by the Netherlands. This series consists of 3 ODI matches and the second match will be played tomorrow. Babette de Leede represented Netherlands Women and opened the batting for them in yesterday's match, while her cousin Bas de Leede represented Netherlands during the ODI World Cup qualifier against Oman.

Babette de Leede represented Netherlands Women and opened the batting for them in yesterday's match, while her cousin Bas de Leede represented Netherlands during the ODI World Cup qualifier against Oman.

Not a good start for Babette de Leede as she scored only 5 runs in the opening game. In fact whole batting of Netherlands struggled to score runs except Robine Rijke who scored 83 runs with 106 S/R. Without Robine Rijke impressive knock Netherlands would have lost the game quite easily. 204 is not a big target but Thai women failed to chase such a small target. There are still 2 more ODIs to be played and it seems like Netherlands will grab a series win against the new and inexperience Thai side.

Now coming to the other women's match played at Gros Islet, where the West Indies women's team beat the Ireland women's team by just two wickets. This was important for West Indies in particular, as their Men team is under a lot of pressure and is at the verge of being not qualifying for the world cup finals.

In women's cricket, Thailand is considered as a stronger team when compared to Netherlands. They are #9 in ICC rankings, while Netherlands is ranked at #18. But then the Dutch women were having home advantage and they used it quite effectively. The match was played at the VRA ground in Amstelveen, which offered the pacers a lot of support. Thai batters struggled to handle the seam movement from Dutch pacers (Iris Zwilling, Robine Rijke and Frederique Overdijk). Two more ODIs remain in this series and after that there is a triangular T20I tournament with Scotland as the other participant.

The second T20 match have been won by England Women and they've leveled the series. This makes the third T20 match more interesting. Australia Women have won the toss and decided to bowl. The top order performed well and the same helped England Women reach good score. Danni Wyatt scored 76 runs from 46 balls which is really big and this made England Women set a target of 186/9.

Australia Women started well chasing the target. In between there was some lag and scoring got interrupted. In the last five overs the performance from Australia made everyone stunned as they were close to win. At the end Australia lost the match by 3 runs losing 8 wickets. Ellyse is good till the finish scoring 51* of 27 balls. The last T20 to be played in two days break. Lets see who gonna win the series.

There is a series ongoing between Irish women and West Indies women. Ireland lost the ODI series 0-2 (one match was washed out) and they lost the first T20I match as well. The T20I series consists of 3 matches and the remaining two matches will take place on 7th and 9th. BTW, there is another series between the Sri Lanka women and the New Zealand women, that will start on 8th July (ODI series is completed, and SL won 2-1). And finally Indian women are touring Bangladesh for a series of 3 T20Is and 3 ODIs. The first match will be played on 9th July.

Just checked with the scorecard of the first T20 played between West Indies Women and Ireland Women. The match have gone much closer, and West Indies Women have won at the last ball of the match. The previous ball was a wide, if not Ireland might've got an opportunity to level the score and go for the super over. For Ireland it was Arlene Kelly who took 3 wickets with an economy of 5.25 rpo. More Women cricket is happening around, and surely this'll help Women Cricketers progress good.

India Women vs Bangladesh Women

We were able to see good number of matches taking place between different women's team. The three match T20 series between India Women and Bangladesh Women have begun. In the first match Bangladesh Women team scored 114 runs, and India Women team have reached the target comfortably losing 3 wickets. Harmanpreet Kaur as usual performed well scoring 54 *runs out of 34 balls. These matches surely help with the improvement of the team performance.

In today's 2nd T20 match of Sri Lanka Women vs New Zealand Women, Sri Lanka Women came out to bat first. Sri Lanka Women could not give a target of many runs by batting. Now if Sri Lanka Women wants to win this match, a very good performance in the bowling line.  To be done. New Zealand Women did very well in the bowling line for which Sri Lanka Women could not give a target of many runs. New Zealand Women now came to the field to bat. Scored 30 runs in 6 overs. New Zealand Women have not lost any wicket so far. In this match  New Zealand Women now need 89 runs from 84 balls to win.

The T20I tri-series between Thai Women, Dutch women and Scottish women have now started, with Thailand winning the first match against Scotland by a massive margin of 8 wickets (Chanida Sutthiruang took 3 wickets for 3 runs). Remember that the matches are being played in Netherlands and the two European counties therefore enjoy some sort of a home advantage. Thailand has been impressive so far, and they managed to draw the ODI series 1-1. And now they look favorites to win the T20I tri-series as well. Each team will be playing a total of 4 matches in the group phase.
