Did anyone watched the match between Ireland women and Sri Lankan women yesterday? I don't know about the conclusion that I would like to draw out of this series, but there is no doubt that Irish women did a wonderful job. On the other hand, performance of the Lankan team has been horrendous. And watching this series, I also realized how close are these teams in women's cricket, unlike the case in men's cricket (where 3-4 teams dominate the international scene). European teams like Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands do have the capability to challenge top full member nations.

Sri Lanka Women's team lost by 15 runs against Ireland Women's team in yesterday's match. In this second match, the Sri Lankan team was forced to surrender to the Ireland women's team with two overs to spare. But if the Sri Lankan women team players could have completed the full 50 overs then maybe Sri Lanka women team could have won this second match against Ireland women team. I watched the entire game of this match where Sri Lanka women team tried hard to win against Ireland women team. I think Sri Lanka Women's team lost this match against Ireland due to poor performance of two opening batsmen of Sri Lanka Women's team.

Sri Lanka Women's third wicket partnership looked like Sri Lanka would win the match very easily. With a pair of wickets falling in two consecutive overs, Sri Lanka lost control of the match, especially when Harshitha Samarawickrama was run out in the team's 210 run with a personal 105 as Ireland women came back in the match. I expected Sri Lanka to win the second match to level the series, but a poor batting performance by the Sri Lankan middle order batsman ended up losing the series. If Sri Lanka's performance continues like this, it will be impossible to avoid a whitewash against Sri Lanka Women against Ireland Women in the third ODI today.

Ireland Women team preformed abrimly in this match. We were expecting that match will be towards Sri Lankan Women team but Sri Lankan team remained recessive in this series. Well done Ireland Women team and continue that kind of effort. Every team should learn from Ireland team because they won the series against winner of Asia cup. Now , Ireland team is ahead in this series and last match will be tomorrow and now we are expecting that Ireland will clean sweep in this series. Anyone here who watch this competition Isle of Man Women tour of Malta and in this competition both Isle of Man Women sqaud and Malta Women sqaud participated for playing 3 matches competition. In third final match of Isle of Man Women tour of Malta competition, Malta Women squad need a lot of hard work on their innings and also need good coach for arranging their innings strategy. All matches include third one, Malta Women squad faced a defeat and last match, Malta Women sqaud has managed 79 scores as a Defeating target and their batsman played very slowly and also not give such high burden to Isle of Man Women sqaud. Isle of Man Women sqaud emerged victorious simply in all fight with massive difference of scores, wickets and deliveries. Congrats Isle of Man Women sqaud and both sqauds will display good performance in Women's Valletta Cup competition which will start after few days.

At the beginning, the match was in favor of the Sri Lankan team, and they played very well, no doubt. The partnership between H.S. Karma was amazing; they stood very long, and H.S. Karma completed her century, but unfortunately, she lost her wicket. Well, I think my prediction in the last part of this thread was right. I predicted that if H.S. Karma lost her wicket, then the rest of the players would be under pressure, and soon they would lose hope, and the match would go to the Ireland team. My prediction was correct; no player scored after her. But to be honest, the match was quite wonderful, and the Sri Lankan team tried their best to win, but unfortunately, they lost. They need some special kind of training because they also lost their last series. If they do not work on their training, then maybe they will also lose in the future. Now the ratio is 2-0, and tomorrow's match will have no importance because the Ireland team won the series. If by chance the Sri Lankan team wins the match, then at least they will be sucessull of removing the tag( clean sweep)

There is no doubt that Sri Lanka Women were a strong team.  But since the match with Ireland Women they have look weak.  And this third match seems very strong to me.  Because Ireland Women batsmen have not targeted well in this match and they have disappoint me for the first time.  And their innings was also 50 overs but still they could only give a target of 122 in it.  The main reason for this is that it will suffer from pride and pressure due to which Dicky did not perform well in this match.  And if you look at the bowlers of Sri Lanka Women they have shown good perform and improvement in easy target in three matches now.  If they had perform like this in the first two matches they could have had some advantage.  Currently Sri Lanka Women batsmen need 105 runs in 45 overs to win the match.  Finally let see the result whether Ireland can stop Sri Lanka Women's batsmen or not.

After having win in first two WODI games Ireland w having historic series win against strong Sri Lanka w just because of this we have no good batting start from them first two balls of the match give them shock and Irish batting lineup crumbles badly with just after 8 overs we have 28 for 4 this was worst ever start for them in this series but still we have good batting from lower order which helps them for having 122 runs on board with the lost of 10 wickets Achini Kulasuriya and Chamari Athapaththu were main destroyer for the Sri Lankan w.

Now in chase we have good batting from the Sri Lankan w as they are having chance of consolation win in this game even they also lost early wicket but now all on track for the win in this last game of the series.

I agree. Even in men's cricket, we have seen lots of upset by these teams against the full members in ICC tournaments and the famous one which I still remember is Ireland's win in 2011 WC against England.

I have some breaking headlines coming in that ICC moves women's T20 World Cup out of Bangladesh to the UAE. This is not good news for Bangladesh fans as every country wants to host big events in their own country but the UAE always get a chance to host matches/series out of nowhere. They will still have the hosting rights but....its sad for the Bangladesh nation

Yes, the batting line in today's match was very bad by Ireland women team due to which they lost the last match. However, I would say that Ireland Women's series win against Sri Lanka Women's team is a lot of fun for them. Ireland Women's team did not try so well to win today's match, but Sri Lanka Women's team gave a great effort today and improved their game due to which they managed to complete the target of 122 runs very easily. It was a very interesting win by eight wickets for the Sri Lankan women's team, the batting performance of every batsman was outstanding. Malta woman is a weak team in this tournament and lost all games. Isle of man woman is a strong team and and wining the match. Isle of man woman is playing amazing and won the match. Isle of man woman played a good match their performance was impressive. They showed every one their skill really well. Malta woman they will continue to play better in the upcoming matches. Sri Lankan Women  team won the match due to best effort in bowling. They did well in bowling and Sri Lankan Women bowlers are hard working bowlers. Chamari Athapaththu was awarded as player of the match because she gave all round performance in this match and gained 3 wickets in this match and built 48 runs and made a match for he team and kept the match to Sri Lankan Women players. Then Sri Lankan Women team end the match well ,as we know that Sri Lankan Women team is good team and they have capability to win against any team but they understand Ireland Women a weak team and they underestimated that team and we observe result of that behavior.If any team will hard work,that team will win.

I was actually a little surprised to see this outcome from this series. I thought Sri Lankan women were going to actually win this series. But of course that did not happen. Ireland women played really well in this series and were able to win the series with one match left. Luckily Sri Lanka was able to win the final match and at least not face the shame of getting whitewashed.

Let’s talk about the last match, in this match I actually don’t think Sri Lankan women played incredible cricket. I actually think that the performance from Ireland women was trash. That’s why they were unable to win this match or even give a good target in the first place. The target that was given by them was never going to be enough for a one-day match. And of course, Sri Lanka was able to win the match easily.

The three teams are;

Irish team done good job and having wins into T20i but winning ODI series is surely big booster for them specially against inform team Sri Lanka women which won Asia Cup final against India most chances we will have good performance from them in coming months as well because now they are having good number of matches and situation is taking good changes they need to be stayed at the best level because having good improvement surely needs more matches.
