I believe we can never know when this problem will strike again. It may happen or it may not happen. But those wishing to be better safe than sorry may wish to change all their imgur link from their post history. I, for one, changed the links of all the images I ever uploaded on the forum, although it took me 2 weeks to do it (I did it manually, this is why it took so long). However, knowing that I have no other image hosted by imgur makes me feel relieved. Perhaps others share same feeling.
