What if bitcointalk creates a casino review and ratings board for members.

This could also lead to some people posting their experiences in the ann thread and others in the review and ratings board. Then it would make it harder to find accurate information about a casino in one place.  

Given time they'll learn to post on the review board if it's made available. The Ann thread is good, but it's always filled with generalized discussions not specific to the casino. For instance, I've seen some Ann threads with responses about KYC in general other than discussing on the features of the casino. Picturing how Op's proposal would look like if implemented still distills down to a board where cryptocurrency casinos would be listed on and reputable gamblers who have used the casino can discuss and advise people about the casino. People can put their complaint there and get answers easily. Other users can use the board as a place to determine a quality casino to stake on. Haven't you seen casino complaint scattered around the forum; Ann, gambling discussion, scam accusations section. Such a review board can accommodate all the threads regarding gambling complaints and reviews. Then the ANN thread can be focused on announcements.

There is a separate section here to promote a gambling site and discuss gambling as gambling sites have now started accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency payments. But I don't think a forum should do more than that. Gambling is a type of business but this is only a bitcoin discussion forum so I don't see any justification to have a separate casino review and ratings board on this forum.

Bitcointalk can try to create a board like that and they can always put a disclaimer that they are not affiliated with those sites that are being reviewed there. The ones that makes a review on there are the forum users and not bitcointalk itself or the admins so why will they worry? But, isn't the same idea happening already on this board we are posting in right now?

Any crypto casino can post an announcement thread here and users are willingly sharing their insights if what they think about the casino. So sorry OP but what you are suggesting may not be approved. Other than here, we also have gambling review sites. That must be enough already.

I agree with you, there is no way to do it, but what if all the threads that are created about crypto casinos are enough? With a classification like this it is very easy for them to say later that they are biased towards a casino, but that is not the case, the forum cannot have any bias towards online casinos, it would be very frowned upon for a casino to say that they have the support of bitcointalk because in In the event that the casino problems arise within the casino over time, the forum would look bad, so it is not a good option, the forum has a lot of prestige.

 Of lately, there have been some issues with casinos locking their thread preventing further discussion by members while directing members to their website customer care which is barely active in responding to members.

I'm sure you're talking about Owlcasino, that's part of their strategy and it's their management decision, it's their decision to open a thread here and lock their thread.
Many of us do not agree with their decision but it will now depend on players if they still continue to patronize Owlcasino, only time can tell if they made the right decision, if they open the thread it means they still need Bitcointalk to promote their platform.

Nevertheless I was thinking if there could be a thread under the Economy board created separately for casino review ( all casinos registered here) with star ratings whereby members could also take part in the ratings for casinos and their performance which would make them seat up doing things right.

Although it's a good idea The scam accusation section is more of a review rating we don't need another duplicate section to verify the status of the casinos besides we all know 1xbit can bribe members to shill and give them good ratings and some members will accept the bribe, the flag and the tagged is powerful enough and give true rating for bad casinos.

You are quite right about this, the voting mechanism is very easy to abuse even though we have tried to make rules that can reduce abuse but still people always have ways to commit fraud, there are already many trusted review websites, one of which is owned by the forum member you mentioned .

We see a lot of sites that provide ratings for casinos and they are filled with inaccurate reviews or votes because casinos pay them to do it and casinos like that cannot be trusted at all.

Threads with reviews like this, can be manipulated by the competition. It does not take a lot of effort to create "dummy" accounts to attack the reputation of their competition. Alt accounts can be bought with little effort and a thread like that can be derailed by these accounts. 

We have a scam accusation section on this forum, where we deal with "dark" operators... and I think it is quite affective to sort out most of these issues.    False accusations are pulled apart in that section, so the chance for manipulation are smaller, because it is focused on that.

Your suggestion are great but I think Bitcointalk isn't a gambling regulating body and as such, treats gambling related businesses as same with every other business without any preferences.
I also think that the Ann thread if any casino is enough to know if the casino is trustworthy or not and there is already a user or member of the forum @gamblingbro if I'm not wrong with the name who already runs a great site that helps rate and review casinos and gambling houses.
I think anyone getting into gambling ain't expected to just jump on any random site just for it's sake but rather do some deligent research about any casino he or she intends using.

In addition, casinos that have created ANN threads on this forum will get a lot of reviews from all of us and that is an honest review given to the casino so that the casino can be even better in the future. But if the casino can't accept our suggestions or criticisms, we have to be careful because usually, the casino won't take its customers seriously. And it could be that the casino will cheat us.

So this forum has given us more and it's just us who have to find what we want. If we want to find a casino that we can trust and where we will play gambling, we have to look for it ourselves and not rely on others.

But you have to be careful because in the gambling section there is a JST thread which is always filled with newbie accounts to give fake reviews.
I'm sure you know what I'm saying because you really have to be careful wherever you are to look at review sites.
However, it is highly recommended for new members who want to find a trusted and safe gambling site, it's better to search this forum.
Because there are so many gambling sites that are very good and have been recognized by trusted members here and certainly have honest reviews like you said.

Yes, indeed, we have to be careful when reading casino threads especially new casinos, that we don't know how they work yet. Reviews from accounts that have not been able to provide honest reviews can cause us to choose the wrong casino while still people have difficulty choosing the casino. We only hope that people out there or new members new to gambling can land on this forum to find a good and trusted casino to avoid the risk of fraud. And we are fortunate to have known this forum for a long time so we don't have to look for casinos from out there and we can also read reviews from members who are experienced in playing gambling and know how to find good and trusted casinos.

Why do you think that it's your or someone's duty to take of very irresponsible people? When I visit gambling section, I see that there are tons of crypto casinos, some of them have active ANN threads and some of them have inactive ANN threads but they exist and they are a lot.
If you create a list with hundreds of casinos, it will be very perplexing and it will be very boring for people to read.
This website lets casinos to have ANN thread and also has trust system where casino representators are either getting tagged for scams and/or ANN threads of casinos are marked that they are scammers.

People need to do some research and no one should be looking for someone to figure things out for them. Making everything ready wastes someone's resources and makes people very lazy and uncritical.

Forum might accused as bias for releasing this feature since for sure there will be guys out there will blame the review releaser about unfortunate fate happen to them. So its better not to have this to maintain the freedom of forum user to decide what is right for them. Also this is not necessary for forum to have because it will just create commotion which is not good at all to get by busy administrator and forum mods.

The entire forum is basically a casino review and ratings board already. Why exactly there needs to be another extra board for that is confusing. I so absolutely no reason for it anyway. We have a single thread which already covers reviews and ratings and anyone is free to post their own opinion there. We have green and red trust as a quasi voting system on reputation.

Now that I read your post, it sounds quite sensible to me to set up an extra board for this. Oh man, I guess I'm easy to convince. Either way, we would have to suggest something like that in the meta board. Discussing it here in the gambling board will certainly bring no change. I'll definitely think about it again. It may well be that I change my mind and would be in favor of introducing such a board.

There are already board on it but it is not about on that but for me, it is not necessary because you can create a thread on it but I do get your point that you need to sort of vouch theymos or other moderators on it which impossible to do as they won't be getting their name into it. Also, there are a couple of threads here but for specific only reviews on casinos which is also helpful. Also, casino is another type of business and it involves money which you can see a lot of owner throwing a lot of money for promotions.

Many users play gambling in the forum, some play for fun, some play as a profession, some play to spend their free time. So I think there might be a vote for this matter.  And it can be opened if it is found that the huge amount of users agree to it. The number of active users in the gambling section and the number of posts in the gambling section suggests that this issue might pass the vote. But since gambling is a bad addiction, it is better to keep it a little secret so that it does not affect the children. These days the forum has become so popular that many kids have started jumping on it. Case in point is one of my relative's little kids around 10 years old I heard that kid learned to use this forum from his dad and started using it.

in this gambling section for me it is good enough to be a review of every casino here and there have been many honest reviews in every gambling ANN. and what you said is true, here is an ANN about casino gambling review sites and almost all the casinos that are here have been added to the site such as Stake.com, Livecasino, Rollbit, Duelbits and many more.
and what I mean by that site is BTCGOSU. for the OP actually just looked at the review site no need to add anything in this section of the forum. because in this betting section it is quite good and appropriate.

I agree that if you make a rating board like this, no one will want to believe it easily the number of scammers has increased. It takes a lot of time to build trust it is better to join by reviewing other sites when you want to play at an online casino, it is very important to find the best one. True, many casinos start their own ann thread for us to check and for then to launch their casino. Many forum members give review about the casino either it is KYC needed casinos or non-KYC casino. Whoever experience a problem then they will most likely create a scam accusation or create a thread complaining about the experience and we will know because of it. It is very much the same as the review of the casino in a review site and the difference is that the review is here in this forum.

Of the many members of this forum, they have quite good knowledge and insight so that if a new casino project is launched, forum members will try to enter and do research or test how the casino is run, whether it is feasible or just a scam.
So there will be lots of reviews about a casino so that other members can find out all the information they need.
Regarding the members who make ANN threads about complaints or allegations of fraud, almost the majority are new forum members who don't know all the information from several casinos that deceive them.
With the existence of this bitcointalk forum and the existence of a gambling section it really helps gamblers especially to be able to solve a problem or to add to their insights about the gambling industry.
