I still believe in altcoins but altcoins that have proven their standing in the market for a long period of time, altcoins like Ethereum, Binance Solana, and other altcoins cannot be ignored in their contribution to the adoption of Cryptocurrency, there are altcoins that bring a lot of things in the table and they are here as long as their developers keep updating their platform and community support them, my confidence percentage is 80% but of course, Bitcoin has my 100% confidence.

90% confidence...But this also matters on what coins we are about to choose. I choose potential coins that is why I have that kind of level, pretty different if you are choosing meme coins and these new projects. Yes, so many new projects had come out these days where halving is approaching, and seems to need to be more cautious because the majority of them are scams or like to be a scam someday. That is why it was not encouraged to hold altcoins for the long term, they are not worth it aside from those projects that have a long market history already.

As they are on the trend, profit is not possible but yes, if we talk about it in the future, it is somewhat not really confident about it. I am 100% confident that bitcoin will cross its all time high once again but that might take more than six months. There might be possible movement towards this year end if not later. I don't have any suggestions of coins in mind but I believe there will be many coins that'll do well immediately the bull market starts. Alot of investors are waiting on the side to get a green signal that the market is back and usually the influencers are those they rely on for this kind of news and immediately that starts happenings, you'll begin to see money entering the market

Agreed, 2022 saw a major crisis in the crypto market. As a result, most of the crypto investors suffered and many exited the market. Because at that time Luna Crass happened due to which many people lost all their property and some of the investors committed suicide at that time. The collapse of FTX before the end of the Luna event further exacerbated the market crisis. Investors who have endured that situation for a long time are back in a good position again. I will accept Ether as my favorite altcoin. Because it is the top rank coin among all altcoins. Thousands of smart contracts have been built using this platform and as considered the king of altcoins, it will definitely demonetize the market.

What happened recently was not a recovery, it was just a short and slight rally that made some investors and self-proclaimed experts say that the raging bull is already coming and at last, the long drought of bear market will end. I mean, why is everybody so impatient? Thinking about the upcoming bull run will certainly not help the situation because it will just make our situation worse instead of seeing this as an advantage to accumulate more coins towards our portfolio while it's still selling for a discounted price.

To be honest, I didn't did my math to know how confident am I in the middle of crisis. I'm just taking it slow while waiting patiently because even if I wanted the bull season to come and start, I can't really do it as there's a correct time and phase for that. I think altcoins are very poorly suited for long-term holdings, with the rare exception of those altcoins that are in the top 50. All others, within 2-5 years, stop growing and are no longer of any interest to a long-term holder. A lot of altcoins, once they reach some high bar, will never conquer it again. Altcoins are good because they allow you to make a profit in a short period of time, so you need to monitor your investments more often so as not to miss the opportunity to sell at the best possible price.

I do not have much faith on altcoins to be honest. Because let's face it, we don't need so many altcoins for our money transfer need. I believe Bitcoin and ETH are fine for now and also for the future. For trading purpose stable coins like USDT or CUSD is fine. I honestly do not use any other altcoins except these because I never needed them.

So for any other altcoins, my confidence level is practically zero because I don't see any utility in them. Technical advantage is fine, but altcoins need to have utility first.

Sounds like a real confidence right there, but this is gonna be another case of "easier said than done". In 2020 the bitcoin halving occurred and at that time the price of crypto began to increase after the halving which always happens every 4 years 2020 - 2021 has been a good year in crypto almost all bitcoin and altcoin prices have increased drastically even though we know the economy in society is in chaos but they believe in investing here and taking profits, then if the FTX or LUNA problem is the reason why people don't invest in crypto, that's clearly wrong, because there are many cases of bankrupt exchange sites like mtgox and others due to being hacked, it doesn't interfere with people's trust in crypto , because crypto provides a fairly high return if we invest in the long term, but make sure the old Altcoin or trusted altcoin is part of the top 100 coinmarketcap, even though Luna failed but I am still confident that we will see the 2024 - 2025 cycle later, so invest since early stage

Well i don't consider most altcoins to be sustainable for the long period, quite a lot of them are pump and dump coins that have no actual utility, mind you also that you shouldn't listen to people when they pitch their altcoin projects to you as being good, so many of them are just selling you that idea because they also bought the coins and they want it to pump fast, so they can dump it on the next available buyer.

Having said that, due to the fact that altcoins can pump and dump pretty fast, investors can also accrue profit with them if they choose the right one, but that's almost like looking for a needle in a haystack, thus it is better not to buy now and wait until when the bull run is about to begin and then buy altcoins that begin to show positive signs, before they fully pump.

In the past I was very bullish on Litecoin and I thought its fast transaction capability would have had enough for it to continue to grow in market capitalization terms/price, but I was wrong during that season, since then I try to be more careful and more conservative with the degree of confidence I may have on alternative coins and their growth potential.

That is a risk to take though, I mean if you take "any" coin you want to wait for the bull, then the result will not be that easy and could end up with a bit of a trouble. Well i think it is pretty hard to give a general statement of the confidence in altcoins as a whole because nowadays we have literally thousands and thousands of altcoins out there and there are huge differences between them. Quite a big percentage of the altcoins out there are just useless meme-coins that are only launched to earn quick and easy money and that are dead again within a few days, so obviously my confidence in such projects is very low and i would never touch then.
There are also several altcoin projects out there already that are already multi billion dollar companies like Ethereum, Binance and KuCoin for example. So my confidence in such projects is pretty high. I mean you can never know for sure after what happened to Luna but those projects should be as safe as it gets within the crypto space.

The altcoin market has been like that for years, unchanged, and I have never lost hope in it. Invest with the motto, bitcoin in the long term and altcoins in the short term. Yes, we still find potential altcoins in the market from a thousand shitcoins and scam coins. These ETH, BNB, and some of the top 20 altcoins are still looking good. I guess the small bull runs that you mentioned just gonna occur at the rumours of halving instead of at the halving event itself.

Meanwhile, I stopped accumulating BNB since the issue with FTX and its downfall. There are a lot of ongoing issues with Binance as well but I am optimistic that they can weather the storm. So it is indeed cheap at $212. But I want to make a safe bet since there are also other coins that are cheap right now. I am banking more on Ethereum, Doge, and of course, bitcoin which is 60% to 70% of my current portfolio.

That is correct,  the best position to take is to invest only in solid assets like Bitcoin and if you must look as altcoins direction then you can go for ethereum, since it has been proven times without number that ethereum move in the direction that Bitcoin goes and that become the strongest spot for the market unless you want to gamble,  that is the only time you should look at other more risky coins in the altcoins categories.

well its always be like that bro its called greed, i also have fallen into my own greed so many time that I missed so much big opportunity of becoming rich, alas now im neither rich nor broke.

I do only consider those altcoins which are sitting on top 50 and below on which i could say or determine that they are really not those pumps and dumps on which we do usually be seeing in low caps but of course

Long-term perspective is one major ingredient for a good project to be considered for investment,  this is why many of us pay more attention to Bitcoin other than the other coins that we have in the market today,  for sure some projects may promise to give 10x or more within a certain period,  but this coins have failed in several times and have become among the dead coins that we have around and even the few performed well for a while,  also experience some market crash that their have been unable to recover from up until now,  and that the difference between those coins and Bitcoin.

Because Bitcoin has been able to recover from any time its price witnessed significant losses,  and Bitcoin has never slides to the position of being called a crash market but rather just some few price drop that will recover back in the long run.

Like you already stated over the years many people have lose their investment to altcoins, I think because of the standards and reputation altcoins have set over the years reasonable investors won't have much confidence to invest in altcoins.  The only altcoin I consider that I can hodl for the future is ethereum,  is the only altcoin I feel it is doing better in the market and ethereum has a good reputation in the market better than other altcoins.

Although I consider altcoin investing to be very risky, there are some altcoins that I consider to be profitable in the future. One of the coins that I consider to be more profitable in the future is ORDI. If this ORDI coin can be invested for long term then I think it can be very profitable in future. It is a token of the BRC20 platform. To me this ORDI coin is very important as a future profitable coin. I hope those who hold these coins will benefit greatly in the future. Most of the altcoin are volatile expect stablecoin and none of them aren't good for long term investment except a few major ones. If i am holding any altcoin then it will be until the next bull season. The plan is to take profit in the next bull season and find new altcoins for the next bull season. This method is only for altcoin investment but for bitcoin and ETH they will be in numbers one and two. One thing i understand from the altcoin market is investors chase trending projects in this industry and those are the places to make money in the short term.
