Developers need to come up with something new and fresh that would revive the hype once again.

Every coin based on hype is tending around 0, hype is bad medecin for any coin.
Litecoin is a decentralized coin with a good track record. Excelente if you see network activity. Possible because it settles faster and it's used to pay for stuff.
Additionally we are now in a pretty severe insecure phase of the world's economy. For those who haven't noticed.

Not optimistic with Litecoin will raise up to $500 one day later, almost four year as most loyal holding of Litecoin but still get disappointed with most cheap price based on old coins. Halving time not get efficiency effect for Litecoin get up to higher price, this early month, Litecoin halving but price keep going down drastically after success break out to $111. Current Litecoin price can't expected will back to $100 because around $64 make LTC difficult when getting moment to create with new all time high price. I am waiting with Litecoin will raise back above $200 and looks not profitable yet with long term holding from LTC, any one have ideas keep holding Litecoin or take it for cut loss and investing in other altcoin?

I'd suggest you consider other altcoins, especially those among the top ranks in market cap (top 5). Litecoin is struggling to reach a new ATH, probably because there's no "substance" to it. Developers need to come up with something new and fresh that would revive the hype once again. Otherwise, market prices will remain stagnant for a very long time. If they don't increase with every halving, miners could be mining at a loss. This could force LTC miners to switch to other chains, leaving it vulnerable against external attacks.

Unless BTC turns bullish for an extended period of time, don't expect LTC to get past the $100 range anytime soon. Don't get me wrong, though. LTC is a good coin with a solid foundation built upon it. Market prices aside, it's one of the most trusted and reliable blockchains after Bitcoin. I've seen new features being tested on LTC before they're added to the Bitcoin blockchain. Who knows? Maybe someday LTC will get the attention it deserves? Just my thoughts Grin
if we look chartishly from the previous movement, LTC had penetrated the $108 range, and that means it had broken out at the previous resistance, it's just that because of the bitcoin situation that is currently experiencing a small crash, LTC was also affected, therefore I think that LTC will later will go up again, assuming that it has given a signal for an increase and of course a deep correction can be used as an opportunity to buy and invest, I don't think it will take us 5 years to make a profit

Litecoin can't reach an ATH on its own because it's lacking behind other projects in terms of development and innovation. It's highly-dependent on BTC to survive. Without a "bullish" Bitcoin, don't expect LTC to get past $100 anytime soon. It's likely LTC miners will be mining at a loss if market prices remain stagnant. After all, the block reward was cut in half without any positive reaction to the market price.

At least, the Blockchain is alive and running as usual. What matters is usability instead of the price. As long as LTC is useful, nothing else matters. I'm confident LTC will last a lifetime thanks to its commitment towards decentralization and censorship-resistance. Maybe someday LTC will go all the way to $1k? Just my opinion Smiley

But can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin or is Litecoin dead in your opinion?
exaggeration , Litecoin outperforming bitcoin is close to Impossible , because how can a semi shitcoin can outperform a greatest coin?

and also calling litecoin is dead? what a shameful comparison when you are asking about breaking bitcoin with a coin you called dying or dead

Strange that hashrate LTC has been constantly increasing even after halving, but the price has almost halved. So the miners are probably already at a loss or so. I agree that LTC will not be able to grow separately from the rest of the market, especially since the price after the main event of this coin fell almost twice. LTC as well as other coins need a bull run.

thats true, no innovation nothing with litecoin, the blockchain isn't even smart contract blockchain i just thing that it has quite low utility even at the level of that shitcoins, but
it seems even today the market capitalization of lite coin still holding up pretty well. still doesn't make me interested in investing in it and so does majority of people I guess.
this coin has already reached its peak potential I don't think there's anything left in this coin, not even good for investment since at best it will be quite small increase in the future even
in bullrun, though everyone is free to make their own decision but always remember that a coin that didn't innovates and also stagnating for long aren't really great for investment.

Litecoin is not dead. It's alive and healthy as usual. But I wouldn't call it a "shitcoin", especially when it delivers as promised at a slow and steady pace. It's just that investors aren't that interested into Litecoin these days. All of the attention is on coins with smart contract capabilities, especially those that are attached to "De-Fi" and NFTs. The only exception to this is Bitcoin, because it was the first crypto that started this craze.

I wouldn't expect LTC to make a comeback right now, unless BTC turns bullish again. Just keep calm, buy some cheap LTC, and wait until the market goes back up again. Who knows if LTC goes to $1k someday? Just my opinion Smiley

Litecoin is doing well.  Death of litecoin is exagerated.   Litecoin is silver to bitcoin's gold.  This is powerful user case.

After bitcoin and ethereum,  litecoin is very likely to be 3rd possible choice to be adopted by U.S. institution investors with spot ETF in USA.

Litecoin getting adopted by institutional investors would be "the bomb". It will increase market prices at a very fast pace. That's if institutions decide to make the move. Maybe BlackRock and Fidelity will launch Litecoin ETFs in the future? If these entities have a successful ETF launch for Bitcoin, I don't see why not. Grayscale recently won the case against the SEC to list its very own Bitcoin ETF. This is a very good sign for crypto in the US. With a friendly-regulatory environment, LTC won't be cheap ever again.

I think this is the golden opportunity to buy coins at a huge discount. I'm very confident LTC will rise to $500 within a few years from now. That said, the sky is the limit to how far Litecoin will go. As long as it stays decentralized, there should be nothing to worry about. Just my thoughts Grin

It will be always in the hands of Bitcoin, especially on ETF things, we already hoping for other altcoins while Bitcoin still has no ETF approved.
About a country like Brazil does LTC as legal tender without Bitcoin? I don't think so, Bitcoin is always a good and best cryptocurrency to be a legal tender right now.

What are you talking about guys? Step by step, dont rush over the things.

First we need to see BTC breaking into the ETF and other related things, and just after that we can start to expect and see for other coins.

Brazil adopting LTC as a legal tender?Huh Why? Because you want that?.

I support LTC in someways but please be carefull with your claims guys.

Not important with Litecoin standings in the top ten coin market cap after seeing their price keep going down every day, almost three years when success making new all time high and litecoin price right now have going dump. I don't find any country have been adopted Litecoin as legal payment currency transaction and ever happening with fake news when Litecoin accepted in some company as payment currency but that news is not true and ever Litecoin up almost 40%.

Today we face reality with Litecoin not expected for investing how consistency in lower price, not only difficult to raise all time high price but also seems not easily for Litecoin back above $100 after last months almost reached up to $120. What your decision with Litecoin if have invested there, keep loyal hold it or cut loss and investing in another altcoin.

I don't believe that crypto will take over the $, Crypto without FIAT is not working. All that hype of reserve currecny is for followers.

Yes Brazil would be nice but that was just an idea not based on facts.

It was the silver thing in the crypto market if bitcoin is considered the gold. It's still a good payment channel though if you're looking for some alternative as I'm still using it.

While I do believe that crypto is the future, it's possible that crypto will still work without fiat. Just check those countries like Turkey that they're dumping their own fiat currency for someone's other currency, I mean other country's currency which is the dollar. The point is that, even if the base is crypto to fiat. It can be a stand alone crypto basis if a nation or a certain community accepts it like that.

Bitcoin first, then Litecoin and the others. For what I know, this is a slow and steady phase that could take years before we see promising results. I'd suggest you wait as the best is yet to come. With subsequent block reward halvings, LTC should be able to reach far beyond $1k in the future.

Unlike many overhyped altcoins, LTC has been proven to "deliver the goods" without sacrificing decentralization/censorship-resistance. It's a tried-and-tested Blockchain network that serves as experimental grounds for the main Bitcoin blockchain. Usually, new features are tested on LTC before they're integrated into BTC. Whereas BTC is often slow and expensive to use on a daily basis, LTC is all of the contrary (fast and cheap payments).

I'm confident LTC will make a comeback, staying true to its name of being "Silver to Bitcoin's Gold". Who knows how far will the cryptocurrency go? Just my thoughts Grin

Yes many people like ot simple also those who work digital.
Unfortunaltely in most countries the gros of people are not as digital safy and prefer cash.
The country I live in has a cash dependency of over 50%. It looks as if unknown to the government.
I wish for more posiblity to pay in LTC that will take a few years at best.

I don't see that as an use case when it's literally same usecase as with bitcoin. Best thing about litecoin is the fact that it's so much similiar to bitcoin that you can use it as a platform to experiment on something that could be applied to bitcoin.

But 3rd possible choice for institutional investors? Why? Because it's old? I really think that would only happens if those institutional investors are gullible enough. Road for Litecoin is a dead end imho.

I would pretty much agree with you that Lite Coin has a lot of similarities with Bitcoin. Its blog chain ecosystem works much like Bitcoin. But that doesn't mean it can't be called Bitcoin, I agree with it. But I think lite coin is reliable among alternative coins. Maybe for bearish market, lite coin's situation is bad sometimes. But for long term investment I wouldn't call it bad. I am optimistic that it can take a good turnover in the next bull run
