I think that if we will be seeing real madrid to perform far better in santiago bernabeu. it's gonna be a very hard test for leipzig. This is a day that is highly anticipated because after all, the matches in the Champions League are starting to take place. The opening matches are Man City vs Copenhagen and Real Madrid vs Leipzig. There was no other choice for Copenhagen other than to play defensively and maximize opportunities when counter-attacking. Manchester City dominated this match too much even though they actually didn't score more than 2 goals so far. I don't think there will be such opportunity for them in their next match especially when it will be played at Etihad stadium, I'm expecting Haaland to get a goal in that match.

Real Madrid also performed well in the away match against Leipzig. This is an impressive match, especially because Leipzig also doesn't want to lose at home. The score of 0-1 still remained before the match ended, but Leipzig was still trying to avoid defeat and so far they have good statistics. Leipzig haven't had much luck, but let's see until the end of the game.

Manchester City is one step closer to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and a fairly landslide victory in the away match against Copenhagen provided a breath of fresh air for Pep Guardiola's squad. There were no significant changes in the second half but in the minute of injury time Phil Foden scored the third goal and at the same time dashed Kopengagen's hopes of playing out a draw. Leipzig took yesterday's match very seriously. Real Madrid would not have won if it weren't for bad luck. The team's performance in the match was not as strong as it had been previously, and I firmly believe that Jude Bellingham's play for real Madrid is contributing to the team's success. Although Brahim Diaz does a good job playing the position, Vinicius and Rodrigo's performances differ. At times, Bellingham's strong attacking play helps the team score goals.

Honestly, Leipzig are not weak team against Real Madrid the way i expected them to play, Leipzig has 9 short on target, while Real Madrid has 3. Since Real Madrid is currently in good shape and Leipzig seems like a weak opponent even in the Bundesliga league. I thought Real Madrid will not have a difficult time to beat Leipzig. I agree with you on this. Winning mentality is one advantage Real Madrid have over many clubs. I have actually come to understand that phycology play a very important role in the success of every team. Take Jose Mourinho for instance, he has this special way of motivating the players when he was coaching Chelsea and also Inter Milan during the peak of his career. Leipzig really have the opportunity to beat real Madrid yesterday but they fumble and misuse the opportunities. The officiating was not too fair but that's not enough reason or excuse, they perform below expectations. The couch also has to be blame for the lose because he could have made the change in a timely manner but he still stubbornly stick to his strategy of making changes only beyond 70 minutes when things have been damaged beyond repair. It is very sad but Leipzig actually played well and they had plenty opportunity to score but were just unlucky totally. Nevertheless, there is still opportunity to turn things around in the second leg but I doubt if there'll be any different result in Santiago Bernabeu.

There's a reason the odds on Real winning were 2.3. At first it seemed to me that this is a lot and the odds should be 1.7 -1.9 because Real Madrid is stronger than Leipzig and also in great shape, but the game showed that the bookmakers were right in their assessment and the match was competitive and unlike the Manchester City match where everything became clear quickly, here Real had only one goal advantage and everything could have changed if Leipzig could have scored at least one goal.
