Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester City are the three teams people are mostly talking about to win the champions league competition and the other good teams in the league can come after them, those like Inter Milan, Arsenal, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. It is true that no team should be underestimated in the fight for the champions league title, but their success and strength as a team currently does not signify that they can go far in the league and couldn’t be eliminated before getting to the finals of the competition.

The round of 16 this season, is not full of competitive matches and most matches can easily be identified who the winner will be and can advance to the next round of the competition. The three teams with high probability of winning the trophy all stands at a very good position to as well advance to the round of 16 without any trouble. The league is very much wide open, but teams that can go far can be seen from here.

You're right about Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich being favourites. Recent form and history make them hard to bet against. I'm not ready to write Barcelona off yet. They may not be in their prime, but football history is full with comebacks and underdog stories that prove anything is possible

This season seems to favour the heavyweights, but the Champions League is unpredictable. After repeated close calls, Manchester City won the title last season. It shows that while favourites exist, the trophy isn't won on paper. The competition and whether any team can topple the hierarchy thrill me

Now we are having few days left in knock out round with too much talk about few favorite due to their superior quality and performance but still we can expect surprises because it's part of the game and match-day performance is also having good impact for all teams no doubt we are having Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid as hot favorite but still few teams which are having good players can create problems, and we can expect changes in coming matches.

Inter Milan, Arsenal and Atlético Madrid are also good teams which are having good players and their results are also not bad with they are surely having not enough quality like we have in top three, but things can go positive for them so who is going to win we have to wait for the result of round of 16 because then some better predictions can go for the all about this season.

My choice would be Napoli @2.55 here honestly. 

As you know Barcelona are horrible with their defending. I still can't forget about that embarrassing performance against Villarreal...

Napoli are also not the best when it comes to defending but their chance is much higher compared to before now at least. Osimhen will also be back as AFCON finale is tomorrow and the Champions League game is 11 days later. With Osimhen's help I expect Napoli to get a win in the first leg.   

That's a wise decision and I don't think I would bet on Barcelona if at this point they couldn't convince everyone with their performance. The defeat against Villarreal in the domestic league is proof that Barcelona's defense is not as strong as last season and considering that the Champions League is Europe's biggest competition, the level of competition will be much fiercer. I didn't doubt Barcelona last season because they were so feared in Europe at that time and now everything has changed and almost 100 percent of the squad has changed with the new generation.

Napoli may also be almost no different from Barcelona but if we talk about Napoli in the domestic league they are worse than Barcelona but in the Champions League Napoli's performance can still be considered better. I think this will be a very tense battle and considering that the first leg is at Napoli's home ground, they have to win whatever happens as capital when playing the second leg at Barcelona's home ground.

Everyone needs to stick with his own decision as things are going in last few games with now we are just few days away from this match and mostly players those are busy into their international duties will be also back, so things could be interesting but as we have last few matches and both teams will be having good attack here I lost to go with over because in away match we can expect good number of goals from both teams which will increase their chances for the qualification into next round.

Barcelona defense is not good, but their attack is good and Napoli will also try his best for having better result in this match as they are improving in last few matches even things are not good as they needed due to lack of players depth but still after coming back of Osimhen now we can expect good performance in this game from them.

Barcelona's attack was not good too. Don't you see that how the attackers of barcelona were performing so badly in the last games? they were rarely winning with huge margins. It means that if the productivity from barcelona has been decreasing a lot compared to the last season. Im feeling that if barcelona may be losing against napoli.
Napoli was able to perform equally against real madrid in the group stage, this is gonna be a hard match for barcelona. Im also putting napoli as superior club compared to the barcelona this time. Barcelona is still performing so badly and the various problems exists in the club are making the situation worsening.

Actually nothing is impossible, but realistically when looking at Barcelona's performance this season, it is very far from being able to become champions, unless they are very lucky in every match they play in the Champions League this season. They've been on a downward spiral, which is why we have deep doubts about them being the favorite to win the title.
If we compare their performances with other more solid clubs, we will see the difference. If I had to choose I would also say they don't deserve to be champions this season with their inconsistent performances like that. Even currently Leverkusen has a match against Bayern in the Bundesliga. and as a result we can see that Bayern is still 2 goals behind. This also strengthens my belief that Bayern will not win the title in the Bundesliga because this season will belong to Leverkusen. And at UCL the opportunity is still open. But we can expect much more from Man City and Real Madrid this season.

There is nothing to expect from Barcelona this season, their inconsistent performance means they are not taken into account in this competition. Barcelona was once a strong team, every team would be afraid when facing them. This season is all just a memory, it is easier for Barcelona to lose points in the domestic league when facing mediocre teams, especially in the UCL which is dominated by strong teams from different leagues.
Barcelona was not one of the teams ready to fight for the UCL title, they were fortunate that during the draw they were met with Napoli, whose fate was almost the same as theirs, so they still had a chance to qualify for the quarter-finals.

It's actually quite an interesting situation: two mega-losers of this season meet each other in the 1/8 and both have a chance. But the result of the confrontation can be said to be “strengthened” since the one who gets eliminated will be doubly upset (since eliminated by a weak team) and the one who wins will be happy because he has reached 1/4. Barcelona is still the favorite in the eyes of the bookmakers, but I think that based on the results of the two games, Napoli will go further.

I definitely do not expect anything from Barcelona in the Champions League right now. Because that is only going to make me disappointed. I seriously doubt that Mbappe will get there, I understand that many people want to see him play there but I really do not think that it will happen. There is a big possibility that we are going to end up with Mbappe just staying at PSG for the near future. I know that rumours have been around for years now, but after this many years of it not happening, I do not think that it will happen again.

Mbappe likes to wait until the last moment to sign his contract because he makes the team forced to pay him a lot, that is his method and he will wait until the very last second to make PSG pay as high as they could, and threaten them with leaving for free, so team goes "instead of losing him for free, lets pay a bit more" and he gets richer that way.

After watching Madrid performance today I'm beginning to be more confident in the fact that they could still win the champions league title this season without much stress because they did showed much superiority in the game despite Gironas form which shower they are most likely going to be the la Liga champions This Season.

Paris Saint Germaine without doubt is one of the best teams teams in Europe at the moment in terms of quality of players in the squad and if you put to contest how good they've been in the French league in the past seven years, there's no doubt to the fact that Paris Saint Germaine is currently the best French club but what they've failed to do with their intimidating and talented squad over these years is to win the UEFA Champions League trophy.
Last summer in the transfer window, they were able to sign very good players to the squad and do not have any excuse not to have deliver a good performance in the UEFA Champions League competition this season.

I never said I thought PSG were one of the best teams in Europe, and furthermore I don't think so at all, they are too far away from such a title. Outside of their league they can't do much and I don't understand why, as the squad is good, they play ok, but why they can't reach the final I have no idea, maybe it's worth thinking about the fact that they are nowhere near the best

Yes indeed, it is very unfortunate and I feel sorry for Bayern Munich to get a deadlock in the match against Bayer Leverksuen and end up with a big defeat 3-0 . With these results,it seems that Bayern Munich does not have good quality to compete in the Champions League this season. But ya, basically any result can still happen in the Champions League because after all, sometimes teams that are not at the top of the table in their respective leagues, sometimes these teams can make good results in the Champions League . It's possible that these two teams slipped during the round of 16, or in the next round before the Champions League final. however, we don't know what happened because this competition hasn't been held at all. however, if we talk about performance, especially in the Domestic League, I really appreciate Carlo Ancelotti's team. Real Madrid appeared impressive with its positive trend. moreover, Real Madrid has just defeated the team that was blocking them in La Liga. maybe everyone agrees, and no one will protest if it can be said that Real Madrid is one of the strong challenger candidates in this competition. because they have a chance to do that. however, it is not certain that their progress will be as smooth as we thought.

On the contrary, so does Manchester City. Pep Giardiola's team has a high probability of retaining their championship title in this competition. If I had to choose, I would prefer Manchester City over Real Madrid. moreover, two of Pep Guardiola's main players have returned to the main squad, especially De Buyne. even though he suffered a long injury, Pep Guadiola can still rely on his performance. It has been proven that in several domestic leagues he has contributed to his team. well, the problem is that this competition hasn't started at all. There was more hope to win the Bundesliga trophy than the champions league because of the top teams involved in the champions league. If they can’t win Bayern Leverkusen, can they even make it to the finals of the champions league? This is what baffles me the most about all of this. The fact now is that kost of these players dont have ge wide vast of experience needed in an European competition and they can’t be seen as a team with experience for the European title.

Bayern Munich needs a striker and they have Harry Kane in the picture, he's here to settle the differences and absence of Robert Lewandowski. Harry Kane is on another squad; he need to start developing the skills required to improve his ability to earn the trust and admiration from his teammates. Thomas Tuchel should give his striker the responsibilities that are required because he is a promising forward for the Bavarians. Harry Kane was formerly hailed as the finest striker in the English Premier League, despite his high performance ratings due to his career accomplishments. I think Bayern will be one great team with Kane leading upfront and they would sure have a shot at the UCL but maybe not this season.

Harry Kane is on another squad; he need to start developing the skills required to improve his ability to earn the trust and admiration from his teammates. Thomas Tuchel should give his striker the responsibilities that are required because he is a promising forward for the Bavarians. Harry Kane was formerly hailed as the finest striker in the English Premier League, despite his high performance ratings due to his career accomplishments. His former squad, Tottenham Hotspur, is known for its prolific delivery and goal-scoring ability.

Harry Kane has done a great job for the team so far and he has done very well in integrating himself into the squad and to do his best to support the team, but right now Bayern Munich is not playing their best as they have like half a dozen of players who are injured or out of shape. Goretzka was weak, Kimmich was injured and is now slowly coming back and you can see that as soon as the team doesn't play very well, a player like Harry Kane has big troubles as well as he is not really the kind of player who brings himself into a great position or who takes on an opponent in a dribbling and then assists himself so to say and scores. Kane benefits a lot from a strong midfield and strong wingers. Now the Champions League is around the corner and things will become serious now.
