The achievement that Dortmund has achieved is certainly not bad, by being able to reach the UCL final, of course that is a good achievement, even though they failed by one step to win the trophy, but they have to be proud of their achievement. with their defeat it was not surprising because what they were facing was the king of UCL who had a winning mentality who was difficult to beat and also almost never lost in the final.

They should be proud of themselves for making it up to the Champions League final despite them not beeng among the top five favorites in the beginning of the competition and they are also no among the favorites even after making it to the semifinals, but they shocked the world and make it to the finals, yet they did very well and wasen't lucky to win because they played very well in the finals and they missed opportunities that could have help them win Madrid; but Madrid was very compose and they know how to play final which is the main reason they defeated Dortmund at the end of the match.
The painful part for Dortmund is that they will not play in the Champions League next season because they ended fifth in the Bundesliga table.

In the game of football chances are limited and Dortmund couldn't confidently be composed to make use of those chances. Just rewatching that chance trashed away by Karim Adeyemi in the 22nd minutes reminded me of Kai Havertz in the 2020/21 UCL finals Chelsea against Manchester City, that goal made history for the club and it' was something similar to that of  Karim Adeyemi but he pushed the ball too hard away.  Same could have just changed the whole tempo of the game for Dortmund probably denying Real Madrid from becoming European champions for the fifteenth time.

Indeed Dortmund had their very good chances in the first half of the match and they didn’t convert any of them which they might have thought the chances will still be coming for them not knowing it was all they got and needed to convert it just when they had the opportunity at first glance. Every team learns everyday and this will be a lesson for them. Some opportunities like this don’t always come again and again. They never thought to have made it this far to the final and when they did, they were unable to convert the very few chances they had to have made them triumph. Real Madrid was a big team to have been faced by them, but in football, anything could have happened. I hope they do better by next season.

Talking about Dortmund they have already done a great job being in the final match while some other teams like PSG after spending huge amounts of money and Bayern Munich with all the superstars they have still couldn't be at this level and that is a great achievement for a team like Dortmund considering they usually tried to sell the players they had to earn some more money.
But in the final match, it was a great memory for Real Madrid and their fans because of them winning this game by helping Toni Kroos their player while Kross officially said he is not going to play in the next season anymore.
  

Dortmund have done quite well in the Champions League this season, they managed to beat many strong opponents, but in the final match they had to admit that Real Madrid was a very difficult team for them to beat. Even from the first half, Real Madrid played a fairly aggressive game by putting pressure on Dortmund with the many attacks they carried out. But it's true as you said, Dortmund didn't build a team with money, unlike other teams where they bought players with quite expensive prices but in the end they failed.

So, Dortmund success in becoming runners up in the Champions League this season is quite impressive and of course several of their players will experience a significant increase in their release clauses in the transfer market this season. Dortmund tried, honestly, we've seen it. They clearly won the first half, I think there's no point in arguing. And in the second half before the first conceded goal they were obviously pressing their opponents and a goal was just a matter of time, but no, they conceded the first and started making mistakes, which is why they conceded the second goal. In general it was all expected, but there was hope for Dortmund to win.

Yes, it's true Dortmund did tried in the first half, but that attempt wasn't enough without a goal scored, which was one of the mistake they made when they have lots of opportunities. Because judging from how Dortmund was playing in the first half, if only they had continue with such force, they probably they would have won, but however, the deed has been done. For Real Madrid, who have now won the UCL title for the 15th time, it seems like a normal thing for them. I agree with you because before City won it last season it was like a lot of effort and hard work of several trials. This was why I also said that it will be impossible for a club to come from behind and win Real Madrid in the finals. Real Madrid squad is not a squad to mess with because they have an experience coach backing them up and he has a lot of champion league experience, which was a big advantage for Real Madrid. Yes Dortmund actually ruined their chances when they should have gone ahead, you shouldn’t be missing chances when you play a team like Real Madrid who need just half a chance to win a champions league Match. I wouldn’t blame the young Karim Adeyemi, because the game occasion was just too huge for him to handle, his decision making was definitely poor yesterday and that’s what separates an experienced player with a young one just coming through the ranks. Dortmund were superb in the first half yesterday and kept Madrid from having even a single shot on target in the first, that’s the first club to do that in the UCL final.

A little corrections Manchester city didn’t defeat Madrid in the finals last year but did that in the semi final. No club has down that against Madrid for over a decade now.

I am actually amazed that people think Madrid will open up and play fancy football against a very good counter attacking team like Dortmund. No Ancelotti is a very smart manager that sets up his team differently depending on the team he is playing against. He actually played the likes of Camavinga ahead of Touchameni to help hold the ball very well. Dortmund for some reasons did brilliant but allowed Vinicius to get into the game In the second half and they were punished with his runs

Seriously, we just have to accept that Real Madrid won the Champions League Cup. Because the match started, I knew Real Madrid would be winning the match, they are better than Dortmund. I was surprised with the way Dortmund played in the first half of the match, I never expected Dortmund to give them such a difficult moment in the match. Dortmund played well, but they couldn’t win. I didn't enjoy the game much though and I think it is one of the worst Champions Leagues I have watched.  The match between Man City and Real Madrid and that between Borussia Dortmund and PSG were more interesting than the final. I almost slept off in the first half because I was bored.

It was in the second half we saw some beautiful footballs worthy of a final. I had wanted Borussia Dortmund to win, to bring some variety in European football but seems Real Madrid is not ready to lose any final.

I had a bet on Borussia winning the UCL as well as an earlier bet on a German team being the winner, so I didn't quite like the outcome.
Borussia fought well and proved they can compete at the same level as the Spanish giant, but they were out of luck in the first half. They had really good chances and if everything went right, they could have taken an early 2-0 lead, which would massively shift the odds in their favour, but unfortunately, that's not how it went down.
Anyhow, they still made it to the final, which is a success on its own. Everyone expected them to drop off at earlier stages, but they showed some perseverance and climbed up all the way to the final.

It actually wouldn't be wrong to say Dortmund was unlucky, because they were actually playing really well in the first half, and their performance had every form of brilliance in it such that they were having multiple chances and and could have won the first half , they had goals that even got to hit the bar and they weren't able to get it behind the net,s o it's very okay to say Dortmund wasn't having a lucky enough day and it affecte their performance.

The chances missed by Dortmund was actually such that I doubted if it were to be Madrid in a finals as this will miss because they are definitely going to make sure every opportunity is utilized to the maximum and not any is left to waste especially such close opportunities but then Dortmund deserves every commendations having been able to have gotten this far in the league this season , against all odds they got to the finals even when it felt like they were going to be knocked out by PSG because PSG had more experience than they do in champions league.

Drawing the first half with so many attempts from Dortmund and non form Madrid is even enough to be considered an achievement because if they were to be a weak team, Madrid would have won both halves because even in the first half I felt Madrid was using it to see how well Dortmund could performances so they can do better than Dortmund have done in the first half of that game.
