I agree with you that Barcelona's defeat today wouldn't change anything for them to qualify to the round of 16 as they decided to play on a low key to save their performance for a better match that is worth winning. Looking at it from the other side, their opponent had a good defend that Barcelona found it difficult to penetrate.

I will say the game was planned that they shouldn't pit much pressure and winning force on the match to save the players from unwanted injury since this is not a match of win or die. The next match is what Barcelona will take serious and I believe that they will win that match. This is massive for Dortmund and devastating for Newcastle if Dortmund wins it. I am not sure what Dortmund would be hoping for for the game between PSG and AC Milan then, but if PSG wins it that would give Dortmund a 4 points advantage over Newcastle and a 5 points advantage over AC Milan. I think this would be good game for them and the group stage is 80% or it'll get really wild on the last matchdays. 

Dortmund look sharp and refreshed despite the fact that they lost to Bayern Munich, but this game is one important game for both the home team (Dortmund) and Newcastle. The away team look weak and very slow like they don't know what's at stake. Newcastle need to wake up from the victory they got from Arsenal, this is business time and they have to wake up and make something happen in the second half or else they're losing this game.
I just hope they get an early goal to level the game up and I see this game ending in a draw.

But it was a game that with a bit more luck for Newcastle could also have turned against them. But they stayed cool headed and the second goal was really superb. To be honest, It was the most entertaining match between all of the others tonight. What impressed me and out of the game is the supporters' tifo of Ac Milan that was a response to the first leg match for PSG fans. The first half was good in all sides from fans to goals and game play.
Ac Milan played well today and they had more chances after the draw, which was a good boost for them to give their best for anothr goal. They didn't succeed in first half with many close chances, if PSG don't do something in their defensive lines they will lose the match.

This match is quite worth watching because after all, the competition in Group F Champions League is always interesting to wait for how surprises always occur in every match that is run.

Borussia Dortmund beat Newcastle home and away with Newcastle failing to find the back of the net in both fixtures which shows experience in these games matters alot.

Elsewhere, Shakhtar Donetsk who are far from home played from a neutral ground in Germany hamburg because of the war, but this performance they brought today was beyond them!! Who limits Barcelona to one shot on target when they have over 60% ball possession, it's unexplainable and Barcelona have themselves to blame and 12 player here didn't play a role either   Congrats Shakhtar, that was a brave fight!!!

Newcastle couldn't do much against Dortmund away or at home, perhaps it's the experience that counts and understanding how UCL games work that counts for experience.

As expected Manchester city are really cruising in this game as haaland has made it three goals to nothing and with the way the game is going I think he is certainly going to go for the hat trick. Indeed, AC Milan against PSG is the match of the night, very entertaining like you said and with a touch of surprises. With the way Newcastle played against Arsenal I felt they could have their revenge against Dortmund but was wrong because Borrussia Dortmund channeled all the anger and embarrassement from the lose against Bayern Munich to this match, thought Newcastle tried they Dominated the game but couldn't convert the chances they had, however Dortmund created better chances and utilized them well, they could scored more but only managed to score 2 goals, Newcastle are gradually missing their chances of Qualifying for the next round.

I thought that the second leg would be different from the first because of Newcastle's well-known strong performances. However, I also thought that Dortmund would win because they would have the advantage of playing at home, which is exactly what happened. After a 1:0 loss in the first leg, Dortmund scored two goals in the second leg to advance to the top position in the group stage.

The game is over, and I was shocked to see that Barcelona had lost to Shakhtar in their second meeting. I doubt that Barcelona would have faced any opposition in that group if it hadn't been for Porto,  all Barcelona star players are available but still lose, Lewandowski is not even happy at all, but that is soccer anything can happen. But even if they had won, Porto would still be in second place, if they maintain and win against Royal Antwerp.
