Arne Slot will not stop here, even though beating Man City does not mean Liverpool will relax. They have everything in both the Premier League and the Champions League both at the top of the table. Is there any club this season that can stop Arne Slot men? for the time being obviously not. But Liverpool must be vigilant considering Mo Salah, Trend A Arnold and Virgil van Dijk have not yet received a contract extension so next season there is no guarantee they can be as consistent as now.
Liverpool players making everyone proud because they're the basic instrument of Arne Slot. They're winning matches and ranked first on the EPL table. It's possible for the new manager to win the EPL title in his first season handling Liverpool. This is complex tasks to manage at Anfield because stepping into the picture after Jurgen Klopp exits the managerial role, everyone thought it will be complex coming from Arne Slot but looking at his development in the club, he's all good. Do you know Arne Slot have defeated Pep Guardiola, Erik Ten Hag, Carlo Ancelotti and Xabi Alonso this season and he didn't concede a goal against them. For me, he simply passed the test for replacing Jurgen Klopp.

The outright odds has already hinted you, which clubs can compete against Liverpool. These clubs are Chelsea and Arsenal, but the gap is too big. Liverpool has 9 points gap to the its closest competitors, but it can be widening in the upcoming weeks.

Liverpool is gonna have easy fixtures in the upcoming weeks. The will against Newcastle, Everton and Fulham. It sounds impossible for them to drop some points against those weak clubs. That's why i think the gap may be going bigger.
I think Arsenal's performance in the last two seasons were considered before they were given a little above 3 odds to win the league title while Chelsea who have the same points with them are given 17 odds to win the league. Chelsea in my opinion have been a better side than Arsenal this season and also possesses a better potentials to finish the season in a better position than Arsenal.
Liverpool who has the smallest odds to win the league rightly deserve the odds they were given because of how convincing they've been performing this season. I think Arne Slot destined to win the EPL in his first season in England.

Exactly, this point gap may increase higher in the coming games because Liverpool will be facing a very weak team and this will really help them to widen the gap more with their closest rival happen to be Arsenal for now. The point gaps can only be maintained if Arsenal can also keep up to their winnings and continue their consistency in the league now. Manchester City have really fell down the paddle of teams for the top spot for now, let’s see what happens and becomes of them in the coming weeks which could change the face of the league further. I am very happy to see Chelsea on this position, it’s been a long time to see them standing on this position after a series of poor season’s by them for some years. I can’t wait to see what they can do this season also, and maybe get the opportunity to finish in the top four and register their presence once more in the champions league after a long time being ousted of the competition.

After Amorim's 2 silly experiments with Malacia and Antony against Bodo/Glimt it seems like he realizes that priorities and winning are paramount and he's got the momentum this time around with players that I think are much more stable than his previous lineups.
I think Amorim assumed it wasn't so difficult to play against Bodo/Glimt. So he put Malacia and Antony on the starting lineup. Luckily Man United won the match, people can feel quite satisfied with Amorim's tactic.  Grin

By the way, Amorim at least already have some permanent players on the defense line. he prefers using De Light-Martinez-Mazraoui.

But it is indeed a risky gamble where they still need points for the Europa League and it also seems to be a plan so that he has an idea for a reshuffle in the next season or half of this season by selecting who is worthy and who will be allowed to leave later and we are aware that for Malacia is actually below average for performance because seeing from what happened there was no excellence whatsoever shown by Malacia when given the opportunity.
Speed he lost even for the goal created from Bodo/Glimt it happened because he lost the speed battle, passing is also not too good for a player who was predicted as a big player before so in this case it is quite strange when he was retained in the last few seasons at Manchester United.

Quote
Their momentum is starting to build now although doubts about Amorim are still very big due to the departure of Rudd van Nistelrooy but it seems he still wants to show that Manchester United's decision to sign him from Sporting was not a mistake.
I think the doubt on Amorim are starting to diminish. The more wins got by Man United, the more people will trust on Amorim. I think it is about the time that Amorim will show his quality to anyone. Sure, it is not a mistake to hire him if he can improve the performance of Man United. He also should have the intention to build Man United squad for a long run.

Now he just has to keep trying to show his quality because even though the assumption of the choice to replace Ruud van Nistelrooy for some people is still doubtful whether he is capable or not but as long as he provides good consistency the doubts and criticism will disappear replaced by praise. We take the example of Slot who did feel the same way before but when he was able to make a good contribution slowly the doubts about Slot at Liverpool have changed now and that is also what Amorim must do now.

Manchester City being dropped to fifth place is as unusual as it gets. I do not remember any time they were this low ever for years now, it's definitely a new thing and I am not sure if it will be easy for them to adjust to this at all. It's going to be a very troubled thing for them and they need to gain their confidence back somehow. Pep is furious about the situation as we all know, and that's of course not an easy thing for a manager, dude just signed a new contract and he hasn't won a single game for over a month, that's not really normal to be fair.

I believe we are going to end up seeing some changes one way or another, but for that to mean something I feel like we need to focus on something bigger, we need to make a bit more money from betting on them too, it's bad for us. I am trying martingale on them, considering they will eventually win, but I am not really making a profit so far and betting even more every game, I am sure eventually they will win, but I do not want to run out of money before that lol.

But Liverpool must be vigilant considering Mo Salah, Trend A Arnold and Virgil van Dijk have not yet received a contract extension so next season there is no guarantee they can be as consistent as now.
That's what he has to do because the slightest carelessness for the EPL is clear that it will have a more severe impact than expected so for now as much as possible Slot must continue to be able to maintain his performance so that it continues to last until the end with consistent conditions.

Currently they are in high confidence and it is still very possible that this could continue to last until halfway through the season if they see how superior they are when they are on the field.

It's just that there are some problems that must be resolved now, especially for player contract issues. There is still no clarity on van Dijk, Trent and Salah. Even if you look at the last few rumors there is a complicated situation between Salah and Liverpool so it could be that when this situation is allowed to continue to drag on, there will be other clubs who take advantage of this which makes them even bigger problems later. So apart from Liverpool who must continue to maintain their consistency, of course for now there must be more clarity for some core players whose contracts are running out.

Quite some interesting odds here, but I won't fall for it by making any predictions because the premier league has been known for a very unpredictable ending. Liverpool are 11 points clear from Manchester city, and it feels like Manchester city are already out of the title race, but if we actually consider some factors here, we might want to make some changes in what we've concluded.

Now, let me start with Liverpool. They've had a better fixtures compared to any of the other big sides( in terms of home advantage against bigger sides, and away advantage against smaller sides). Which is clearly unlike Arsenal that has had quite the opposite. Things will begin to look difficult when big sides like Liverpool starts meeting with another bigger side in an away fixture.

And as for Manchester city, we've seen them do crazy things in the past. We've seen them snatch trophies at the very late hours of the competition. I have this feeling that this season will be more tougher, and would even cause tears to those with too many expectations. Just to add, Chelsea isn't out of the race either.

This is really unusual for especially Guardiola's Manchester City.  Sad  As far as I can remember, they have never had such a lose series in his management. Moreover they can't win for like 6-7 games now. With such a great squad it must be feeling awful for him also to have such time period. He still can't find the root of the issue. It is getting bigger and bigger.

Honestly 11 points is a big gap no matter we aren't even in the middle of the season yet. Arne Slot is moving on determinedly. The gap is likely to get wider in this situation.

Is there an example of a big comeback by Guardiola's club in the past? Yeah, there is. But this time, I don't know...

The points gap can widen all they want, but they could still misfire at one point, so these odds mean nothing in a global sense. They are favourites now, but could easily lose this race. The good thing about this league is that there is constant competition and nothing is predetermined like in some other leagues. Now it's more interesting to watch Manchester City and their defeats coming in a row, it's really interesting to see what's going on with the team and how long it will take them to fix it

Liverpool is gonna have easy fixtures in the upcoming weeks. The will against Newcastle, Everton and Fulham. It sounds impossible for them to drop some points against those weak clubs. That's why i think the gap may be going bigger.

I still remember how former Liverpool players doubted Arne Slot in continuing the job left by Klopp. Jamie Carragher is right to doubt him because Klopp came to Anfield after a number of achievements with Dortmund and since taking over Liverpool, he has been able to restore Liverpool to glory on the European stage. Rafael Benitez who is on the list of Liverpool managers from time to time also came to Anfield with several trophies with Valencia.

Arne Slot's turn, this Dutch coach only came with a domestic title with Feyenoord so with the current reality, the gambling that was allegedly made by Liverpool management is not appropriate to be said because Liverpool is a very consistent team. For this I praise Liverpool. In the race to lose later until the end of the season and fail to win the trophy, it is not possible, but if you consider that this is his first season at Anfield, I think it is not a bad thing.

While everyone is talking about Liverpool vs Manchester City game (which is very normal) I would like to talk about the Manchester United Everton one as well. I know Everton is a bad team, but United had one of their easiest wins of the entire season, they won 4-0 without breaking a sweat, they didn't even play their best game ever, but they won so easily and looked so effortless as well.  That is of course a bit thanks to Amorim, but also a bit about Everton not playing that good at all, I know they are a bad team, but they played even worse.

Hopefully, United could keep this going, considering how they are one of the biggest names in sport world ever, seeing United do badly makes me sad, I would rather see them play great.

In terms of strength and confidence that exists at this time, Liverpool is definitely still favored, it's just that there could be some surprises that occur, especially with the tight schedule, so indeed all possibilities are still very possible.
Currently Liverpool are still on the wind but sometimes there are some unpredictable conditions where the increase and decrease in performance is sometimes difficult to guess.
The case of Mancehster City can be an example where they are now in a trend that is not very good for them especially when the target is the championship.

So that the match regardless of who the opponent is at this time Liverpool must still give their best performance to be able to make them remain comfortable in their position but in the end it depends on how they organize the scheme and rotation in the current schedule.

It will go down in the history of football if Liverpool misuse this wonderful opportunity they just got from many clubs. We are just 3 weeks before the end of the first leg and they only had one loss which came early with their match with Southampton that many never expected. This is 11 points we are talking about, if it's Arsenal, I will not think twice about it because they did it last season and Manchester City won the trophy but the season, I doubt it.

Last season, they were spirit despite the loses they were going hard and the losses weren't consecutively but this particular one is a huge blow on the head as if it's a relegation zone they are trying to escape. The good thing about this Manchester City situation is that they thank God the losses wasn't only in the Premier League else, the are cool, finish and done with. I am just hoping they finish the season well but I don't care if they win the trophy or not, I want them to end this bad performance.

Seven goals in the first half in West Ham Vs Arsenal was really something. I thought they might have broken a record but, apparently, in 2007 Tottenham and Reading went for the half-time break at 4-4, which is the highest-scoring first half in Premier League history. Shame we ddn't see any goals in the 2nd half today, but, nevertheless, it was a good show by Arsenal.

But the biggest game this round will be tomorrow. Liverpool who have been performing extremely well recently will host Man City, who are experiencing a slump in form and are desperate to turn things around. If the City fails to earn any points tomorrow, they'll drop to 4th place or even 5th, if Chelsea win or draw their game against Villa. The pressure is high.

Interesting match between these two teams Arsenal is still in good form with Arteta however they couldn't get good results during this season and still they are far from Liverpool and even other teams like Chelsea and Manchester City are far from this team.
In the first half of the game against West Ham, we saw an interesting game since all the seven gaol in this match were in the first half but we didn't see anything in the first half from these two, and the game finished with a 5-2 result.

It may seems impossible for Liverpool to drop points in these games but if they are not being careful, dropping points are highly possible especially when playing against dynamic teams like Newcastle, Everton and Fulham. Although they may not necessarily lose the game but rather more likely get a draw. Let's see how the EPL table will look like till January, when this transfer window will be open and Pep will then strengthen his team to compete again.

The situation seems unusual but things aren't too bad as we portray it thou. From record, they were sixth on the Premier league table after game week 13th in 2020/2021 season and guess what? They managed to turn things around and eventually won the league that same year. It might also interest you to know Pep was also in charge that year. Seeing Man city at the present condition is really sad but we have seen similar things in the past and how it ended. I think even last season Manchester City experience something like this at a point but they come back stronger and change the situation depriving Arsenal of winning the league.

Manchester City board know what they are doing by renewing Pep contract for additional three years. The bald man has achieved a lot since his arrival and the recent downfall doesn't mean he's not capable for the task. He already proved his capacity when he had fitted squads. The present injury crisis is also contributing to the failure they are passing through and I do believe things will change for good when they fully recovered. Moreover, winning a league is not hereditary. It's open for others to win too.

In the EPL it is more possible than in other championships, because the level of the championship is high, and even average teams can take points from the leader, but it seems that Liverpool is on a very good run and no one can stop them. Arsenal seems to have improved their game, Chelsea also got into shape, and City, who I considered the most real competitor for Liverpool, are now losing to everyone, and it seems to me that even Guardiola does not know what the reason is, although he says it is because of injuries.

Shortly after a big game between Liverpool and Manchester City, we are going to have another lovely game in 2 days.  Smiley

At Emirates, I'm really wondering how much Manchester United will manage to resist Arsenal. Amorim is making progress lately. You can see it from the way they destroyed Everton. But this is Arsenal we are talking about.  Tongue  They are on fire! If we see vulnerabilities in Manchester United defense line Arteta's club could finish this job quite earlier than we expect.

My prediction is that Arsenal will win and it will end over 2.5 goals. I think it's a nice one to give a try.

Looking at the odds, Liverpool is obviously the favorite to lift this season's Premier League title, with odds of 1.57 followed by closest rival Arsenal with 3.75 odds and Chelsea with 17.09 odds. Liverpool are currently leading the standing with over 9 points, and their excellent run of form suggests they are likely to maintain their winning momentum. Their upcoming fixtures will not be much of a problem for Liverpool which is why I think they will extend their lead at the top of the table.

Liverpool is gonna have easy fixtures in the upcoming weeks. The will against Newcastle, Everton and Fulham. It sounds impossible for them to drop some points against those weak clubs. That's why i think the gap may be going bigger.

If Liverpool still manages to maintain its consistency to always get three points in every match at least until the middle of the season, then even though Manchester City makes player purchases to improve team performance, it will still be difficult for Manchester City to catch up with Liverpool. I personally will not blame Pep for the decline that occurred in Manchester City because after all, Pep must still be respected as the most successful coach in the world.

So, I think giving time to recover Manchester City is a good thing and not being too quick to punish the coach when the team gets a failure like this. But about Liverpool, the reality is, for the next matches Liverpool get easy opponents including opponents they will face in the Champions League. Thus, I personally believe that Liverpool has stepped very well to win the trophy this season.
