Today there is a Merseyside derby. Let's go! 

Liverpool are overwhelmingly the favoured side of course. However I don't think it's going to be that simple during the game. Because as of David Moyes' arrival, Everton have been rising. They are scoring easier than ever and getting better results. FYI, Everton have a really good history home vs Liverpool.    I mean they don't lose most of the time. I wouldn't bet on Liverpool here because of that. It looks like a considerable risk to me.

If I bet on this one I'd go for both teams to score @1.91.

Both teams to score entered from first half and I wonder what your motivation was for betting on that. Everton even scored first and when that goal entered, I was afraid that they were going to win Liverpool but it was not before half time that Liverpool made it even. Now the match is at minutes and Liverpool is leading by 1-2 courtesy of a clean goal by Mohamed Salah who is famous for scoring great goals for Liverpool. If the had match ended that way, Liverpool would be 9 points clear from their closest rider Arsenal but Everton refusal to surrender has yielded result that made the match end in 2-2 draw after the late goal of Everton.

One thing I liked about this game, was the fact that Everton was not shy to go all out and play Liverpool at the end they finally came out with a draw at the end. I said it too that derby and rival matches are always different. The weaker team doesn't just lie down and take a beating, they always fight, especially one like this where they've had this rooted rivalry forever. Then there's also the fact that Everton has been doing better since they hired David Moyes. I knew Liverpool was the favourite, but I couldn't write off Everton.

The point game between Liveerpool and Arsenal who are 2nd on the table is 7 points. I undertasnd Liverpool fans would have loved it to be 9 points today so they can be out of reach from Arsenal, but I think even at & points, Arsenal wont be able to catch up.

Mo Salah has actually helped Liverpool for so many seasons, even as he is aging, his performance is yet to drop. He has been great for Liverpool this season and I wasn't surprised when he made the comeback.

What really surprised me was seeing that Everton was able to equalize the match in the dying minute. I missed that equalization because I had already switched the channels to watch champions league, thinking that Everton has lost for the night. It is a great fighting spirit from Everton.

Over the years it’s hard for Everton to actually stand up to Liverpool in any game but of recent I have been noticing that Everton have been putting in extra performances to actually make the game so difficult for their rivals most especially when the Liverpool team are on a title chase. Last season I could remember how they ended Liverpool title hopes when they played a second leg in Goddison Park. Everton defeated Liverpool then with 2 goals as this was their first win over the years against Liverpool, but statically at home they have held Liverpool draw in multiple occasions which has been to Liverpool.

Although unlike last season this doesn’t affect Liverpool that much as they are still seven points ahead of Arsenal on the table but a three point to make it 9 points gap would have been nice one. Hopefully Liverpool bounce back from this and avoid dropping further points

Man City is in a tough spot right now. They've just lost a Champions League play-off 1st leg game to Real at home (2-3) being only a few minutes away from a victory. It will be hard to come back from that in the rematch at Santiago Bernabeu.
Their next few games are far from the easiest:

Tottenham (away) - this one might not seem like a challenge but Man City lost the last 2 direct clashes, the last one was an embarrassing 0-4 loss at home.

It will be a real test for the Citizens.

Losing at home in the first leg means falling behind. Manchester City is far behind Real Madrid. If Real Madrid fail to win the next match then Real Madrid will confirm the next round and Manchester City will be eliminated from this tournament. I haven't seen a performance from Manchester City against Real Madrid this season that I saw from Manchester City last season. Maybe it was a good effort from Manchester City but this effort was not enough. Real Madrid will have to defend and attack against them, something Pep Guardiola's side couldn't do much of. The next match is at Madrid's home ground, where they are actually hard to win against. However, Manchester City will have to keep trying and try until the last minute, maybe the result will change.

The advantage that Nottingham has for now is that apart from their performance which is getting better and better, they also only focus on the EPL alone in contrast to some big clubs that have a focus on other competitions such as the Champions League, Europa League or Conference League so this could be an advantage for them because their focus is not too divided for now.

Now for Nottingham actually they just have to be able to continue to get points in every match they do because after all this is an important situation because if they cannot be consistent then it is certain that the good performance at the beginning of the season may not be reversed for them especially for now it looks like they still want to take advantage of the momentum of awakening because they are not only in one competition but in several other competitions they are also still surviving including in the FA Cup which qualified in the 4th round some time ago.

The next few matches in the EPL can determine where they will go because if you look at the schedule there are Newcastle, Arsenal, Mancehster City, Manchester United and Aston Villa who are ready to tackle them and this is clearly not a very good thing because if in the end the defeat is obtained then the domino effect they can get in the end so that as much as possible in big matches like this they have to keep the points they have.

Because they will face strong teams, then what they can do is try their best to minimize the loss of points. Forcing a draw is not bad for their current position. And, of course, in return, they must be very confident to win against a team with weaker strength.
Nottingham has performed well, they were able to hold Liverpool to a draw and win against Aston Villa and also United. Chelsea were also held to a draw. I think they have the quality to compete with strong teams at the moment, and it's just that their ability may have to be maintained to stay consistent.

A draw is not a lost because a point was achieved. Moreover, it wasn't because Jones got a red card that made Liverpool to draw the match, Abdoulaye Doucouré also got a red card from Everton to balance the game. Everton deserves a point in that match, because they played tirelessly from the beginning to the end. It was an interesting match and a good fight.

Which red card are you talking about here? Jones red card happened after Everton already equalized and should not be an excuse for their draw. One of Everton players also receives red card at the same time so it was a balance game. I was expecting to see excuses about the additional extra time granted by the referee after the fourth official publicly displayed five minutes of added time. Michael Oliver allowing the game to play up to twelve minutes of extra time I what I don't understand but I'm not too surprised because this is not the first time things like this is happening. This remind me of Argentina and Saudi Arabia world Cup opening in the last tournament.

No excuse will rewrite the score or award a three points so it's completely irrelevant now and Liverpool is still seven points clear at the top. There is no much to fear but improvement is much needed to finish off the game as early as possible to avoid unnecessary points drop. Every game matters now like never before because the league has getting to a critical stage where slight mistake would cause unforgettable memories.

I watched Liverpool and Arsenal matches at different times. Even if Arsenal is 5 points ahead, Liverpool can catch up and pass Arsenal, but Arsenal is now 7 points behind and it is impossible to catch Liverpool.
Although it seemed like Liverpool lost 2 points with the goal that came in the last minutes yesterday, it would be more accurate to say that they actually gained 1 point. After all, the Everton match is a derby match and the players are on the field with a different motivation. This 1 point should be considered as a gain. Liverpool is playing good football, they will play in the league cup final and maybe the Champions League final as well.

What an ending that was though!    Tarkowski scored such a lovely goal that I guess no goalkeeper would be able to save that shot. I was comfortable with my BTTS prediction already. Because like I said before, Everton are fighting much harder as of Moyes' taking the helm. They are much more productive no matter what the result is. This is the baby steps for bringing the old Everton back. But there is a lot of work to do of course.

After Liverpool drew in their missing game, the point gap with Arsenal is 7. It is still a lot even though there are 14 more games to be played.    Honestly I see Liverpool holding the trophy over their shoulders already now...

Just as Liverpool was about to make a comeback, Everton scored through Tarkowski in the 90+8 minute. Liverpool lost two points in this important match. Fortunately, it is still clear that they continue their claim to be the Premier League champion. They did not suffer a major loss. Still, they have to avoid losing points in such matches. Because more difficult matches await them. There are also strong teams such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United. The two points they lost against Everton were an extra point loss for them.

The referee gave too many extra minutes, and Liverpool were unable to maintain their lead until the match really ended. And right in the 90+8 minute Tarkowski managed to equalize. Liverpool players were unable to block the high ball.

And as you said, Everton really played with confidence and crazy in this match, and even though they only had a little possession of the ball, Everton players were able to take advantage of every opportunity to make more attacks towards Liverpool's goal. And on the other hand Liverpool were quite dominant in terms of possession of the ball, they were unable to take advantage of that advantage to build more attacks, where at least from possession of the ball reaching 64%, Liverpool were only able to release 6 shots with 4 shots on target.

And another interesting thing that happened in this match, the referee issued a red card to Everton and Liverpool players.

It's funny how Premier League coaches look at the FA Cup. Nottingham's coach didn't even put the players he used in the last Premier League game in this game against Exeter, he put players he doesn't use regularly, that's because he's giving priority to the Premier League and as a way of saving the best players, he used the B team and was lucky to come out with a win in this game. Nottingham's next game in the Premier League won't be easy, I'm avoiding betting on their game against Fulham.

I am pretty sure that FA cup doesn't worth anything unless you win it. If you believe that you are going to win the whole thing, then yeah put some attention to it and you could be doing fine, but if you believe that you are not going to win, then there is no risk in putting your players into that much fatigue for playing at all.

Actually if we pay attention in the last few seasons, the English league has given us some surprises that indeed show how the league is running very competitively, last season we had aston villa who became a dark horse team and destroyed the dominance of the big team at the top of the standings, as well as this season we saw nottingham forest has provided strong competition despite the absence of star players in their squad, in my opinion although they are still far from the potential to win the title like leicester city did previously, but at least they has shown extraordinary struggle and consistency this season to be in the UCL zone, with the difference in points they have and also consistency in every game of course they have a great chance to play in the UCL next season, but the question is now: is it possible that they will also be able to surprise us next season if they play in the UCL later?

Week 25 will open with the match between Brighton vs Chelsea and of course, this match will be an interesting match because Brighton previously managed to eliminate Chelsea in the FA Cup match. But, for their next match, the reality is that Chelsea will also still be playing away  and thus, it might still be a difficult match for Chelsea or perhaps, Chelsea is ambitious for revenge. Because if I consider their points in the Premier League table it is clear, Chelsea is better because Chelsea is in the top four as well and has a gap of 9 points with Brighton which is in 10th place. But even though Brighton is not in a good position in the Premier League table, the fact is that Brighton  is still a team that cannot be defeated easily at all.

Agree. No one predicted that Nottingham Forest will be among those teams in UCL zone. We know that this team often finish very close with relegation zone in every season. It is just simply amazing to see them in the 3rd place now, they even look stronger in the second half of this season. I think this team has strong attackers, too. They don't only have a strong defense. They proved it by defeating Brighton with 7 goals, it is very rare that an average team like Nottingham winning with many goals. Their main striker (Wood) even could score 3 goals (hattrick). It showed that they have a strong player in attacking line. Well, I'm sure they will play in UCL next season if there is no much change in their performance until the end of the season. Luckily, there is no transfer window anymore, so there will be no player to move to another team.

The bookies expect easy 3 points for Liverpool and Arsenal. The most interesting one will be a clash between 5th Man City and 6th Newcastle. It won't be an easy game but I think Man City should be able to win it, especially given Newcastle have lost a bit of steam in their last league games.

Manchester city defense have been poor, if we careful check, we will see that Manchester city have been conceding so many goals, whenever Manchester city are playing, they are always conceding goals, even whenever Manchester city are winning in their matches, am not always confident that they will be able to maintain the win, I don’t really know why Manchester city are always conceding many goals in the second half of their matches.

There trying to embark their performances that’s why you can see that in some of their matches they always put much efforts to conceding a goal in the second half of the match, but the lack of inconsistency didn’t allowed them to return back their normally form; and that’s all this while there performances still remain poorly.

The Manchester City problem not only by their defense even their entire players have their own problems, because if we observe their previous performance when their still with their former coach. everybody was taking against their management, but after the coach has been sak there was moving normal before they come begin performing abnormal.
