Manchester city had the opportunity to occupy the second position and they blew it, I really thought that they would win that game easily against Southampton... Newcastle won their match against Chelsea and now they are at the third position, city has fallen back to the fourth position.. The EPL is highly competitive this season, if a team relents they will get overtaken... After the red card Chelsea got I knew that they were done for. Let's hope Newcastle keeps up their performance.

I agree with you, even though Chelsea lost their struggle deserves appreciation and basically Newcastle is not a weak team + with the advantage of playing at home. Chelsea must be more careful they have the same points as Aston Villa meaning that at any time Aston Villa could take over especially Chelsea have to face great teams in the remaining 2 matches like Manchester United and Nottingham obviously this is not something easy.

This week there were a lot of unexpected matches Man United and Tottenham lose, Nottingham and Liverpool draw, it shouldn't be difficult to predict this match as the favorite team is playing at home but unfortunately beyond our expectations and all my parlays lost lol. Maybe this is what is called competition in the Premier League is tighter than other leagues.

Thankfully for Chelsea and Newcastle, the fifth is going to UCL too, so that game meant nothing. We are not seeing a big deal here, we are seeing a normal improvement of teams within each other and nothing more.

Villa is barely there, and Nottingham is already gone, so not like any game at the top five means anything anymore, that has to be the most important part and because of that we are not seeing the most here. They will all go to UCL, unless they keep on losing, and Villa wins. That needs to be the most difficult part. Otherwise we are going to be fine and not going to have a meaningful tough period here, we are going to do a fine job and shouldn't be worried at all. It will be very good for us and not going to mean anything to others.

Chelsea wanted to actually fight for a draw but Newcastle were just stronger than them. People don't understand how strong Newcastle is presently but they are in my top three strongest English premier League team right now. This game is also beneficial for Manchester City even though Newcastle got three points Chelsea lost three with the two teams heavy on city's heels this was a needed result for them after a draw against South Hampton yesterday.

Leicester City is in relegation zone and they played a draw against number 6th team of EPL today. I wrote yesterday that Forest should not have any problem in winning game against Leicester City but they played a draw and gave away 2 key points.

Leicester city surprised me today, sometimes it’s always difficult for top teams to win relegation zone teams, and I will say that was just what happened in Nottingham forest match today, and we saw how Manchester city couldn’t win Southampton which is a relegation zone club also. Nottingham forest performance has dropped recently, they haven’t been playing well in their recent matches, they are finding it difficult to win their matches, but I was thinking since they will be playing against a relegation zone team, then they will be able to get a win today, but they still played draw which I will say it’s really bad for them since they are fighting for champions league slot.

I find it difficult to process what Manchester City played with Southampton. After winning 5 games in weeks and then it became difficult to win a team that is in relegation? To make one goal was very difficult, I feel ashame and I don't think teams that does this should even deserve good place at the top 4 of the table. They should be sitting below and allow other teams that are competent have a good place to demonstrate what they can do now and next season.

Newcastle is a perfect example of team that doesn't give up. Those guys were not consistent with winning, things were rough from beginning but they won the FA Cup and became the underdog we were expecting from Arsenal and now, they seems not to be smiling. One win and Arsenal draw, they will be at the top of the game while Arsenal will be at the bottom and it's really possible, two matches that are left can really make a bigger difference and that's applicable to Manchester City future in the Champions League.

Both Man City and Nottingham played too badly today. How can they fail to win the match against the weakest teams in EPL this season? TBH, it is unbelievable, they fail to win in a crucial match. Especially for Nottingham, missing 3 points in this match drops their position out of the top 6. Well, they may too underestimate the teams in relegation zone. They may be not aware that Leicester City and Southampton played with no target, they must be relegated this season. Sometimes the team playing with no target can be more difficult to defeat.

You're right. Nottingham performance has been declining a lot, they only could win a single match in the last 5 matches. Sure, playing against the team in relegation zone should be the big chance to win again. Unfortunately, they failed to win even if it was against a weak team in relegation zone. I think there is a problem with the mentality of the players or the tactics used by Nottingham is no longer effective to use.

The Premier League is already over for Manchester United. There are only 2 draws in the last 7 games. I can't remember Manchester United having such a bad season before.

If they don't win the UEFA Europa League, this year will be a big failure. If they win the UEFA Europa League, they need to build a good team that will compete in the Champions League next year.

I don't think they will be successful next year with these players.

They need to get a striker, a defender and most importantly a very good goalkeeper. Onana can't be Manchester's goalkeeper.

This is why the Premier League is so high quality. Southampton, who were relegated to the lower league weeks ago, are drawing with Manchester City today.

City made a lot of attacks and missed a lot of goals but couldn't find the goal they were looking for and the match ended 0-0.
If City had won the match, their scores would have been the same as Arsenal, but they didn't.
City's four-week winning streak has ended.
Southampton also drew their 6th match with this draw.

It came as a shocking result to me that Manchester City who are currently fighting to secure top four position for qualification to the champions league next season were unable to beat Southampton, and then I remember that this is the English Premier League and results like this are not unusual. The level of competition in the Premier League is different from other leagues.

While infact, Arsenal have not managed to advance to the UCL final this season, Arteta has once again failed to bring his club to lift the trophy, for the umpteenth time. Arsenal Lost to PSg with aggregate 3 - 1.

Arsenal are just being themselves. Giving their fans a silver lining in a tournament and failing them again and again... 

I don't know what's going wrong with them when they get close to a trophy honestly. The same thing happens in the Premier League and now the Champions League too.

They have a beautiful squad. Arteta is actually not a bad manager. Arsenal were much worse before he came. Maybe completing the last piece of the puzzle (a reliable CF) might be the key?

IMO I think the phase of grooming is still not complete because I can’t say that Arteta is not a good coach because I know he is a good manager, and I know how much improvement he has brought to Arsenal team but the players are not doing so well individually on big stages. Arteta needs to strengthen the team by bringing in top and experienced players that can push the team beyond their limit. I believe this is the only way Arsenal can achieve success.

Arsenal was going to start the match with a goal. Liverpool tried an offside tactic, but Saka was not offside because he came from behind and took a bad shot and could not score.
In the first half, Liverpool dominated the match and the first half ended 2-0.
Arsenal started the second half well and made the score 2-2 with Martinelli and Merino. Merino's moves to get the lost ball back resulted in him receiving a second yellow card and being sent off with a red card. Arsenal played the last 15 minutes with 10 men. The match went back and forth between the two teams. Arsenal could have won the match with 10 men. Liverpool scored a last-minute goal, but the position was reviewed by VAR and the goal was disallowed because it was determined to be slightly offside.

UEFA events are having amazing history about this because I watch in past many teams those were near relegation or having terrible performance done good stuff here it's never been new because things are interesting for soccer fans.

In this season, Europa League is having two finalists which are currently on their lowest level in Premier League but done surprising stuff and have spot into final with winner is going to be had spot in Champions League for next season. Manchester United was undefeated in event while Tottenham done good job and have some good wins which keep them in limelight for having their best but now who is going to win it's another interesting match because both are on same level of performance and quality with have terrible defense and poor attack.

It is really strange yet unarguably one of the best happenings in the world of football. Who would have believed that two teams sitting 15th and 16th in the league table will be participating in the Europa League final. Both sides have everything to play for and will make the contest a very interesting final to watch.

I was watching the El Clasico so I couldn't watch the Liverpool - Arsenal game live. But it looks like this was also a game not bad at all! 

Chelsea beat this Liverpool by 3-1 earlier. I wonder how Arsenal managed not to. I mean Liverpool were already champions. Maybe just related to complacency by Arsenal players or a disappointment of the CL? Thankfully they aren't at risk of being out of top 4.

Having aimed for a spot in the champions league next season and it happens that Nottingham Forest are able to make it to the European league I think they'll still be glad and satisfied with their performance this season. All they want is just a spot in any of the two European leagues competitions, and by virtue of their level I think the Europa could still fit them good.

Yeah but I saw an action I didn't like by the chairman on the pitch after the game. He was really angry at Nuno Espírito Santo about the draw. Of course it was an important game, no problem with that. But showing your anger in that way isn't very healthy before the remaining games in my opinion.

From my view about why Arsenal couldn't win Liverpool just as Chelsea did, it's isn't about complacency or UCL disappointment effect on Arsenal but just that Liverpool took this game mote serious than they did against Chelsea. Perhaps, because they didn't want to record two losses in a row and wanted to keep the records straight even with a draw, which was what eventually played out.

You can't really blame him for releasing such emotions in the public especially when you look into how much funds these guys has invested into the club, they just want to continue seeing great results and that's why they cant help but continually mount pressure on managers. But for Nuno Espirito Santo, the man deserves his flowers to have been able to have taking Nottingham Forest this far on the table now fighting for a spot in Europe, and surely didn't deserve such expression by the club owner Evangelos.

PL's clubs journey in UCL is officially coming to its end after Arsenal as PL's last candidate kicked out by PSG. Appreciate how they tried so hard, but no match for PSG. They're still continuing their journey as a netflix club
The out of Arsenal show PL club quality is getting degrade. NT for all of PL clubs who have been playing at UCL, but out from the competition. We will able to send like 6 candidates next season. Hopefully, UCL will be ours. 

In my opinion, the English clubs that participated in the Champions League and made it to the quarter and semi finals did incredibly well and represented the league well this season. They all deserve accolades for their bravery and hard work especially Arsenal that made it to semis. Hopefully the next season will be better and EPL clubs will return triumphant.

Arsenal success in reaching the semifinals gives the EPL an advantage because next season they will send 5 representatives to the UCL. The addition of one slot is based on changes to the competition format in the early stages and the addition of the number of participants, so UEFA sets the "European Performance Spot (EPS)" criteria to determine two additional tickets to the main round of the UCL, two additional tickets are given to the League with the highest performance index or coefficient in European competitions.

After Man United and Tottenham qualified for the UEL final, next season there will be 6 EPL representatives who qualify for the UCL (5 slots through the League standings and 1 slot through the UEL champions route).

At this rate I don't even think they are capable of winning their remaining two games, Chelsea will be a difficult opponent for them but no one knows what will happen.

It would've been easy to fight if Jackson didn't get himself sent off by committing a silly foul, I think he cost them this lose. They could have fought for a point if they are complete but it's not easy  to play with a man down so I didn't expect much after the red card. I just hope they win against Manchester United so they can still hope to play in the champions league next season.

Disappointed with the way they played the game against Southampton. They dominated possession, created bunch of shoots, but still missed points. It seems they will finish at 4th or 5th with that performance. Damn how Haaland was non existent in that game. This is not City who played last games.

I also give credit to the Southampton. They already relegated, but still fight hard for their pride. City seems to be kicked out from the top 3 very soon.

Southampton played very well. They played defensively and tried to draw the match. We knew Southampton would play in that way. Southampton's goal against City was to keep a clean sheet and draw. And that's what Southampton did. On the other hand, City dominated the entire match. They also attacked a lot. City players managed to take a total of 26 shots. Even then, they couldn't score a single goal. This was a failure of City's attacking players.

Haaland is used to playing well. De Bruyne played a little better but couldn't score any goals. I think selling Alvarez in this season's season was one of the wrong decisions by Guardiola. If Alvarez was in the squad, City's overall performance would have been stronger. Alvarez was a worthy replacement for Haaland.

Southampton are always good with playing defensively but when it comes to scoring goals that's a problem for them. Their defense was solid and it gave Manchester city a tough time...we all expected them to lose because city was aiming for the second position but they couldn't break through Southamptons defense..I think Southampton was able to win the game because Manchester city are not the team they used to be.

Nottingham forest had a huge challenge when Taiwo got injured almost few minutes in play, the team was no longer complete, even the owner Marinakis was so fustrated that he had to walk right into the pitch after the game to question Nuno regarding the 2:2 draw, which took them far back from hitting the first five position. They tried this season, I must say, but EPL only gets competitive and only the competitent teams advance in position. Their game with Chelsea is a type the blues would have to do extraordinarily fine to maintain their position, hopefully NFFC wins against Westham, then the match will be tough.

Disappointing result for city as they failed to get all three points against bottom placed Southampton city attack was poor in front of goal because I expected that city should have a good show against Southampton because they are the wiping boys of the league but despite this draw city is still occupying the third position on the league pending Newcastle game because Newcastle can over take city on the third position with a win this weekend with this draw that city has

Yes, I am sure Manchester City would have expected more and better result from the game but luck was also not on their side and they failed to score even a goal to finish the game in a draw. Now Newcastle’s win over Chelsea will give them an advantage in the race since City failed to win, the race for the top 5 goes on and becomes more competitive.
