Big wins for arsenal and Liverpool as they put themselves very close in qualifying for the champions league knockout stage, honestly Arsenal have been very impressive this season in the league and in the champions league, they won today 0-3 even though it was a worthy opponent but they still go the job done.

Liverpool beat Real Madrid at home and it was unexpected because of their recent poor foam, they played well today and also defended well. I really hope they can begin to build on this in the league.

Tottenham also got a win against Copenhagen, after that chelsea defeat they needed a bounce back and this was the perfect game for them, now let see if they can take such momentum into the league by weekend.

Arsenal easily beat Slavia 3-0, no surprise here, they are very consistent this season and were a big favourite.
Tottenham wins against Copenhagen 4-0, scoring two of the goals while playing with 10 men.
And finally, Liverpool defeats Real 1-0, which puts the Reds in the 6th place in the UCL table. This win proves that Liverpool is back in the game and that the slight dip in form they experienced recently is probably behind them now. A well-deserved win. If not for Real's goalkeeper, it could've easily been a 3-0.

Manchester United will strive to repeat their failed victory in last year's Europa League. Manchester United has a strong desire to win and get all three points. Liverpool are currently in a slump, and whoever they face means they don't see the opportunity to score as many goals as they could.
Manchester United needs funds for new signing Ruben Amorim. Think about that first. Let's watch the match between the big teams to see who is superior among them.

Apparently Manchester United wasn't in a good condition to be able to defeat Tottenham in that finals of the Europa League, perhaps the kind of player that they had weren't good enough to make the difference and that was why Reuben Amorim had to make his preparations earlier in the transfer window to bring in the likes of Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo, perhaps if this trio were in Manchester then the club wouldn't have suffered such a tragic loss against Tottenham in that finals.

Even if Tottenham defeated Manchester United in the Europa league finals, i don't accept that Manchester United wasn't in a good condition to be able to defeat Tottenham because Manchester United played good football than Tottenham in the Europa league finals, and the only reason Manchester United couldn't defeat Tottenham was because Manchester United couldn't make use of their chances in the finals, while Tottenham was lucky to score Manchester United 1 goal with only one chance they had against Manchester United, and they defended the goal and defeated Manchester United.

Manchester United didn't have the chance to beat Tottenham during the Europa league finals last year. Thus is definitely a payback time for them. Ruben Amorim still demands players during the January transfer window to repair his midfield.
Liverpool are not really what they use to be, this is either the time to crush them completely or see them thrive again. Manchester City will make sure that they do a proper damange on Liverpool.  Arsenal's chance of extending the lead further. Mikel Arteta will want that.

If they did win that game, today United would be both doing great at league, but also would be in UCL and everything would look brighter for them. Instead, Tottenham did win, and Tottenham isn't doing badly at the league neither, doing fine, much better than last year, and they are also there too. So it's clear that UCL spot means a lot and would have changed so much, plus would be great financially as well.

United will want revenge, there is no doubt that they still have that blood on them out hand waiting for the game to come, I am sure United will win this game. Even if they do end up somehow not winning the game, I am pretty sure that we are going to see them leave everything on the field and play amazingly.

I'm not at all sure that even if Sunderland had won, their game against Arsenal would have carried more weight. We all know that by the middle or end of the season, Sunderland, Bournemouth, etc. will fall out of the top group. The other two games are really important: the Tottenham-United game will once again determine who the real losers are, and the City-Liverpool game will determine who is worthy of fighting Arsenal for the title.

Sunderland drew with Everton but still they are in top 4 though.    By the way I think they should have been given a penalty. There was a handball in my opinion. I believe their potential win was stolen by the referees...

About falling out of top group, I also don't feel like any of those teams will manage to finish in top 4. But maybe who knows one of them might get a ticket for a European tournament in case of the Premier League gets an extra quota or something.

I watched the Arsenal game against Slavia Prague and I think Arsenal are really serious about winning a major trophy this season. They go out to play every game with a lot of seriousness and they don't underestimate any team. I really like what Arteta has done with this team, they have got so much confidence when playing and they just believe they can win every game, which is a very good thing for the team.
I was also impressed the way Liverpool played yesterday and I am glad they won against Real Madrid even when nobody gave them a chance in the match, they won against all odd and this might be the winning they need to turn their season around. Congratulations to all the English team that won in the champions league yesterday.

Every result here was expected except Liverpool beating Real Madrid. I had no doubt on Arsenal beating Slavia, in fact I expect more than three goals from them and Arsenal delivered though the goals scored was short of my expectation. I was skeptical about Tottenham, not because they are not good or Copenhagen is better but because they can't prove themselves to be the Tottenham I knew. I'm not surprised with their victory but of course the scoreline was incredible. I believe I'm not the only one that perceived Liverpool victory as a miracle. Liverpool did not only win, they outplayed Madrid completely. The Real Madrid goalie was the one putting them back on the game, it was literally Liverpool against the goal keeper last night.

Let watch out how Chelsea, Manchester City and Newcastle United will represent the Premier league tonight. Chelsea has the weaker opponent compared to others but I have no faith in them like I have in others. What an irony!

If we're talking about the battle for a Champions League spot, then yes, the games of the "new" contenders are important. It's highly unlikely that the Premier League will lose its fifth spot at the end of the season, so even the battle for the top five is important.
Unfortunately, I only see odds for the top 3 or top 6 from bookmakers, but the odds are still clear. Let's take the top 6:

Afc Bournemouth - 2.75

Sunderland - 11.00

It could be said that Sunderland isn't taken seriously, but that's entirely logical, as Bonmouth has more well-founded and consistent successes.

Bournemouth are very strong so they will definitely get a top half spot to get a ticket, at least we saw their matches this season, it was eye-opening that they are able to fight back and win matches.

Sunderland are new but we haven't seen the whole of them yet, they are like wild horses that can stab but sometimes can be beaten, I hope they can be consistent to win the next match, the draw against Everton did not do much to add to the two points the side lost in this match.

I see this appars on my X. It's weird to see how Arsene wenger made a spicy comment about Liverpool's line up. He said signing Wirtz has destroyed the proper midfield owner by Liverpool last season. I know he's not wrong, but he's not right too. I meant Liverpool still have some proper midfielders, but the problem is Arne is always trying to do the new thing.
Do you guys agree with Wenger's opinion if Wirtz was the main problem of Liverpool? It's quite harsh to see him said Wirtz's signing destroyed Liverpool's mid.

Manchester United may have had a good run in the Europa league last season than Tottenham Hotspur but the bottom line is that Manchester United were really struggling a lot in the domestic league, yes they were able to beat most of their opponents in the Europa League and could have won against any other team outside England but because Tottenham already had an edge over Manchester United that season it became difficult for Manchester United to beat Tottenham, that what I meant when I said Manchester United weren't in a good position to beat Tottenham.

I think the reason Sunderland are still in top-4 spot is that they’ve had a relatively easy schedule so far and similar level opponents. We’ll see how they handle the upcoming matches, because just look at their next opponents. Their next game is against Arsenal, then an away match against Fulham, both matches are very difficult. After that they’ll face Bournemouth, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle. I think if they manage to get at least a few points from all these matches, that would already be pretty good. Honestly, I think they’re facing a losing streak in the upcoming games.

It can be said yes and no, although last season played quite well and Liverpool has a good midfielder also in the reserve seat, but Arne Slot's decision is for the fulfillment of his strategy, how he is responsible for every strategy he wants to make therefore this can be a paradox in seeing right and wrong, Arne Slot has done what is in his mind with the arrival of Wirtz but I agree that Liverpool still has a good midfielder also without having to present Wirtz.

We have no doubt about what you want to see from Liverpool. Yesterday's victory over Real Madrid is a great boost to their confidence ahead of the match against Manchester City.
Liverpool were not the favorites yesterday because Real Madrid were stronger, but Liverpool were able to overcome all doubts.

Arsenal until now resisting but for how longer they can?

In the next three matches starting from rounds 11, 12, and 13. Round 11 is against Sunderland, who are currently in good form in the Premier League. Round 11 is the London derby against Tottenham, and round 12 is against Chelsea.

The English Premier League teams were too good in their performance yesterday one of the interesting fixtures was Liverpool and Real Madrid, Liverpool stood up and destroyed Real Madrid nobody expected the win from Liverpool following their recent drop in form in the league but watching them give Real Madrid a good fight and win the game I think they will replicate same performance in the league. It is not late for Liverpool to fight for the league but they have Arsenal and Manchester City to contend with cause Arsenal is undefeated in the league.

With the way Arsenal is playing, I am pretty sure that we are going to end up with a ton of issues on the long run. I think it is going to be clear for the people that it is going to mean so much and we can definitely consider things changing for the long term. They are finally looking like a team that can win it all.

The good benefit they have is that no team looks like they are going to make a lot of points, which means that Arsenal could win the title with not that many points, and that's going to be the difference maker. Of course it is going to be a tough situation to be in, but we can still see them win it all with low points. Arsenal looks like they may not even need that and get some decent points this year.

Have you heard of the news about Liverpool's possible offer for Mbappe in the near future? It is said that Liverpool will offer 300 million euros for him. I think PSG would be really willing to sell him in case there is an offer like that. Because even though PSG have to pay a lot of money to Mbappe in case of selling him early they will still be in a serious profit.

It is much better than letting him go without a transfer fee surely. In this case I assume that Liverpool wouldn't be the only team to make the same offer. Real Madrid have been monitoring his situation for a long time. I would expect them to meet the demands of PSG and Mbappe both undoubtedly.

In this case I don't think Liverpool's chance would be higher to sign him.

If this is true, I don't believe PSG will have any further comments to make because this offer is very generous, exactly what PSG wants, and mbappe will be happy to accept such an offer. However, I do believe there will be some issues because PSG and mbappe have agreed to stay for another year. However, I believe where a significant sum of money is involved, everything will settle down, so it will be good to see mbappe in another team very soon.

Arsenal are really feeling the pinch right now,, the 3 - 0 away win proves that they have effective control in both defence & attack. Liverpools win over Madrid, on the other hand, was a real surprise. Although they have been in a bit of a slump recently, this win was a perfect example of football where they have proven themselves.

There is something to be said for Tottenham, haha! They have in the end bounced back after that Chelsea setback ,,  But the key here is consistency. you know, single  good comeback match wont fix every single thing. If they can carry that same momentam into the weekend , they will be able to remind everyone that they are still in the trophy race

It might be more exciting if Arsenal finish as runners-up again at the end of the season, prolonging their wait for a Premier League title. Just kidding, don't take it too seriously.

Clearly, with their preparations before the season began, and what they have shown since then, their ambition to end their long wait for the Premier League trophy is very high. However, this ambition must also be balanced with a consistent string of victories. The season is still long, and anything is possible. However, as long as Arsenal can maintain the performance and consistency of their players, it is no longer a dream for Arsenal to finally win the Premier League title.  And besides, at this moment, the top clubs in the EPL are losing their consistency, and this should be an opportunity for Arsenal to widen the gap in points.
