arsenal is closer than ever to winning the premier league title. yesterday's last-minute goal gave them exactly what they wanted, and they are now 6 points ahead of their two closest rivals. we are roughly halfway through the league, and while a lot can still change, arsenal are progressing very strongly, and closing the points gap will become increasingly difficult for the teams below them with each passing week. but as i said, nothing is impossible yet. manchester city were five points behind arsenal at the end of the 20th week of the 2022/2023 season. and then they went on to win the championship.

It's indeed surprising that Man City let Chelsea equalize after sustaining that lead for so long, I checked out of the match when Doku was subbed in thinking Man City will end up making the scoreline 2-0, but was I wrong. Arsenal are looking more likely to win this especially if they end up winning there next game against Liverpool, which am quite optimistic they are going to, Man City has to settle as second or find a way to start a continous winning streak.

That's what we are afraid of Arsenal, they can lead, they can be at the top but lose control of themselves in the middle of the season, we know it in many leagues lately, whether Arteta will be able to or not is one of the big questions on everyone's mind this season, this English premier league has been a long time for Arsenal not to win the championship, This is the closest chance they can get to end up as champions, seeing that Manchester City is not in good shape, Haaland is also not very productive because of the few balls given to him and also always has a tight guard from his enemies this could be a great opportunity to continue to have a big difference like what Liverpool did last season.

Manchester City never believed that Chelsea will come back in the game after taking the lead but football is usually unpredictable and the past one week football in the league has gone from surprise to more surprises because the number of draws that has happened in the league is becoming something else but in the midst of the draws Arsenal has been winning their games which is a strong sign that they could actually end up winning the league if they do not stop halfway like they have always done in the past. The next game of Arsenal against Liverpool is not going to determine if Arsenal will win the league because after the game there are several matches for them to play but they just need to be getting 3 points in every game to get closer to the trophy.

Crystal Palace are currently suffering consecutive poor results following Oliver Glasner’s announcement that he will no longer remain as manager.
It was a much needed win for Tottenham, draw against Fulham and a straight 2:0 win against Newcastle.There's no creativity in the midfield. They can't even string a pass together properly.
Thomas Frank proving he is one of the best coaches they have had in recent times. They are 13th place, and having 20 games left and only 5 points away from 5th for the European league again. Too many losses can displace them even father... Out of their last 5 games, they've recorded 4 losses and 1 draw.

Many good players and coaches leave that club, but as long as it remains under the same ownership, it will never return to being a great club capable of winning the Premier League. We've seen the Manchester City manager make controversial statements many times, but he's never been fired because the club owners respect him and his freedom. But if he were the Manchester United manager, he would have been fired immediately.

I am pretty sure that Amorim getting sacked was postponed way more than it should. Even though they looked "alright" for a while, they had a terrible last season, and he should have been sacked in the summer and let some other manager decide the new players instead, and if that wasn't enough, then the horrible start to the season should have seen him being sacked. This was already way too late decision and I think they made a good decision by sacking him. Xavi should be their next manager.

I saw Amorim smiling shortly after he got sacked.    He must have been relieved mentally though. It is really not easy to handle this Manchester United honestly.

I don't think he was ever the main reason behind this team's not being successful. The owners don't know how to manage a football team. Just like the same thing is valid for Chelsea as well...

I have always been hearing of manchester united ownership as the main problem in the club but my is this, are the coaches not given enough financial support to get the players that they want in their team. It has been long since Ferguson retired and Ferguson was still under this same owners and he was doing all right. What now happened that manchester united is in this state. Different managers and the same results. What is really the problem.

We saw Arsenal losing to Aston Villa in dramatic way when Buendía scored the winning goal for his side in 90'+5' minute of the game. Last night Man City ended their game against Chelsea in same way when Fernández scored the equaliser in 90'+4' minute of the game. Key take away is that defence of every team must stay focused till the time final whistle is blown. Arsenal must be happy with Man City draw against Chelsea because they are now 6 points ahead of team at number second position.

How else are football teams managed apart from giving the coach all they deserve just to give positive results at last which they never got. When Ruben Amorim was hired, he requested complete overhaul in the coaching crew which they gave to him, capital for team reinforcement they gave, to implement his playing pattern which was also accepted and many more things he requested that was all granted. Then tell me how the teams managerial department where responsible for the teams inconsistency, i know Manchester united is going through difficult times now but i don't think its from the boards end because they are doing everything humanly possible to bring back the team to the glory days

I left the game with Manchester City almost winning then I heard that Chelsea surprised them with a late goal in the injury time. That will be a lesson for Manchester City to avoid missing points like that. They had many opportunities to score and they wasted it. Erling Haaland alone had like four or five chances. The problem of Manchester City in that match was to finish an attempt with a goal, they failed to do that so they waste the three points.
Arsenal indeed but also Aston Villa were the only top teams to profit from this round. Gunners extended their lead with six points and Villa is having the same number of points as Manchester City. There is also Brentford that jumped to the seventh spot after their victory against Everton.

Last four points which Manchester City lost against Sunderland and now Chelsea are going to be crucial for them because now things are pretty clear Arsenal are on rampage for having 6 points difference their attack and defense both are on good depth this can give them fair chance of staying at the top without any challenge.

Fourth spotted Liverpool is now 14 points behind with this difference now their chances are almost ended because they are also having no consistency while top three are doing better specially Arsenal which is now going to play against Liverpool this will give them better chance of punishing their opponents due to their superior quality and performance.

While we are talking about Amorim's getting sacked I have found this data. Bruno Fernandes had a really good performance under Amorim's control.

Now this link is broken and I don't know who is going to be next to manage Manchester United. But honestly I think he shouldn't have got sacked.

I mean he was better than last season. Besides they always see it like it is about the manager. But it isn't. Nobody can save this team while it isn't handled well by the owners.

To be fair, this is one of the only games in this entire season that Wolves  actually played like they belong in the Premier League. Had originally planned on doing a Stake punt on them drawing this one as well but didn't have the guts to go through with it. At this point, not losing to United was actually a win for the team. At least this is something to build on also.

Regardless of whether the team stay up or not, Rob Edwards and the team need time to straighten things out mentally and tactically. The supporters need to encourage the team so they regain their confidence. A lot of damage was done under Vitor and Rob, they have to iron things out, which will be a big job. In the season's halving, 19 games played Derby County had 7 points, Southampton 6 points, Sheffield United 5 points and Wolves only 3 points.

To be fair, this is one of the only games in this entire season that Wolves  actually played like they belong in the Premier League. Had originally planned on doing a Stake punt on them drawing this one as well but didn't have the guts to go through with it. At this point, not losing to United was actually a win for the team. Wolves won for the first time in the 20 th match of the season. And they dominated the match. West ham could not build any resistance. The opponent West ham was also not in good  form. So Wolves were able to win the match by a large margin. However, Wolves performed well against Manchester united in the previous match. Despite a lot of attacks, Manchester united players could not score more than one goal. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Wolves are at the bottom of the table. The team has managed to earn only  6 points. Wolves are 12 points behind Nottingham forest, who are in 17th place in the table. Wolves have very  little chance of qualifying for the premier league next season.

This is the summary of it. I agree with Ronaldo here 100%. The real problem has never been their managers. It is the bad ownership of the team. But it doesn't look like they are aware of it even a bit.

Manchester United can certainly go back to their old times one day. But it takes time you know. First a good ownership and a better transfer strategy. After some good transformation of the squad they can once again be a competitive team in this league.

They finally took out Amorim, thanks god he was wasted time for Manchester United sadly, he never can made the team play real good football and somehow he made the team beat the good teams and lose points against the worsts ones, i dont know how he manage to do that.

I was thinking by now they have realised that the cause of manchester United problem isn't from there manager. Until they realise this and then make necessary adjustments were possible no amount of manager they will bring in will be able to solve this problem they have been facing for seasons now. In this case it can be said that we should not underestimate the experience of the Chelsea team because they played very well-organized in the second half against Manchester City and it was worth observing that they were attacking again and again. Anyway, you are right that Manchester City could have won this match but some of their players missed opportunities, such as Phil Foden, who couldn't capitalize on the opportunities. Many bettors expected the PL giants to secure victory in this match but I never imagined that a Blues midfielder would turn the game around and equalize the scoreline in the 90+4th minute by scoring. Now it has been proven to us that City are getting a bit weaker as they have drawn two games in a row  and are now level on points with Aston Villa.

Chelsea drawing with Man City is a clear game , in my first post before the game I emphasize that the game will end in draw, despite some arguing that home advantage of Manchester city and their position ahead of Chelsea stand better edge,for me is never a yardstick. Their performance of draw yesterday has still pave way for arsenal to jubilate because their major contender is dropping with point arsenal topping with over 6 point difference is bigger move, Chelsea has help arsenal im reducing tension.

Chelsea really did Arsenal a favor by drawing the match against Manchester City yesterday. The match was interesting and I was expecting Manchester city to win the match yesterday,  but Chelsea equalize very late in the match.  I think they both had opportunity to win the match yesterday, but they end up sharing the point. Chelsea seems to up their game when they play against the traditional big teams.
With this result Arsenal seems to be running away with the league title this season. Arsenal is the most consistent team and I think they will win the league this season.

Man City may have thought they were going to win the match when the match ended and extra time was going on. Chelsea did not give up and they kept trying to score and they were successful in their efforts. At least for Arsenal a favourable position has been created. Arsenal are in a strong position and are currently 6 points ahead of second position Man City. Even if Chelsea pull Man City back from behind they will have to win the next matches to fulfill their expectations as their points are relatively low. In 20 matches, they have won only 8 matches, drawn 7 matches and lost 5 and currently have 31 points. The statistics are trying to turn them in the opposite direction but they seem determined to get their form back.

I don't know because it works in your favor doesn't mean you're all perfect in predictions the fact is Chelsea was just fortunate to have gotten that draw in that game, though I predicted Manchester City direct winning and it was the only game remaining for me to win a bet and I was actually excited because I was too confident of myself that Chelsea can't equalize that goal then I left the viewing center but was all in surprise when I saw a 1-1 draw and I was like how come but all the same I count it all joy because any point dropped by Manchester City is a good news to Arsenal.

The story with Amorim is over yeah... Honestly I'd never sack him instead of listening to his advices or requests. This is madness.

They've been doing the same to every coach for a long time. Amorim was still doing his best and improved the ranking of the club in the PL also. But still he got the sack.

Maybe because of his recent statement during an interview, I don't know.
