Top teams won this week. Manchester United also won and solidified their position in 4th place. The Everton match was tough, but Sesko came to the rescue. If Manchester United keep this up, Carrick might sign a permanent contract. They've won every game since Amorim left, except for last week's draw against West Ham. It's been quite an impressive start but the important thing of course is to maintain consistency.

With how Manchester United have been playing under Carrick and have not loss any match, matching up to their unbeaten run since Amorim left, I think Carrick will be permanent by end of this season. He has shown some level of consistency and a more aggressive gameplay like one who’s fighting for the title, this is really commendable and he needs to be given another chance because he most deserves it.

Manchester United are not becoming a team that many will not like to face in their worst form, because they have this confidence that they’ll prevail against all teams after prevailing against top teams who ought to have been an hinderance to them. Consistency is the key to winning and succeeding and if Manchester United can do it, then they’ll achieve more this season than in the previous ones.

A Hard Fought Victory for Manchester United as they continue their successful unbeaten run campaign. It was a very tough match and towards the end Man United was under so much pressure but they were able to absorb all that Everton threw at them until the end.
Kudos to Man United!
Evidence of the good works of the coach Michael Carrick, he’s doing what others couldn’t and now United fans can smile ear to ear …,lol. Unto the next, fourth position on lock down.

Carrick Ball is to impress, even for the haters. So happy for him. Smiley
But I wouldn't say he deserves a permanent job. Ole pulled the same result as interim, and we all know what happened after he was made permanent. Need more time...
And United have to give Amorim credit too for cleaning out the non-performing players, bringing Lammens, Cunha, Mbuemo, and Sesko, who quite literally won this game. Glad to see United going to the Champions League next season!

Good performance from Manchester United yesterday, I was thinking, Manchester United will draw the match but they shocked me by winning the match, Manchester United is performing very well and they are now in top four which is a very good season for them and if they continue this way, they will surely go to Champions League next season. I love the determination that this team has right now and the coach is doing a very wonderful work by using this players to achieve very good results. If Manchester United was playing this way right from when the season started, I believe they would have been contesting for the Premier league title the same way Arsenal and Manchester city is doing right now. Manchester United should continue with this kind of performance I believe they will be contesting for the Premier league title next season if they continue with his performance.

When Carrick took the job I was so sure that the biggest challenges wouldn’t be coming from winning against top sides like the traditional big six but would be coming from getting full match point against less quality team compared to them like Everton and this is because Manchester United usually find it hard to break down teams that plays low block football like this Everton and that’s why even the result was a narrow win too today
For every new coach that is appointed to new teams playing against mid table teams are usually the most difficult task for them at first, winning teams like Brentford, Everton, Bournemouth Crystal Palace will always be challenging so seeing Carrick manage to get a win at Goodison park is impressive, it was not easy but luck has been on his side since he took over. What matters is winning and getting the points and since he took over he has done great for them, winning all but 1 game is a good performance and with that they are able to occupy 4th position in the league currently, I hope they make it to the champions league next season.

And then again when you look at this team you will see that all Carrick did was just to do the basics, play these players in the right position and fight formation and they would deliver and that exactly what happening. Another name that has impressed me is Sesko, how Carrick is managing him and he his delivering. The chemistry is now in the team and with very much consistency I would say we should expect Manchester United in the champions league next season.

Everton is a good side, and yesterday we all saw how they try to make the score line even, they got a few chances but were denied by the Manchester United goal keeper, who had a good game yesterday. Well I think if Carrick continues like this then he should be given a shot next season, he deserves it.

Manchester United's performance under Carrick has been impressive. I see Carrick reinvigorating Manchester United's signature style of play, emphasizing quick counterattacks, aggression, and dynamic wing play. This is evident in the fact that Manchester United remains undefeated under Carrick's leadership. Considering how Carrick has lifted Manchester United from the slump, management should appoint Carrick as manager and offer him a long-term contract, as he has been able to significantly improve Manchester United's performance.

I think Carrick has done a great job since he took over the team. I definitely think he deserves to be the permanent manager. I also think his communication with the players is excellent because they run to Carrick after scoring a goal and clearly show that they accept him. This is one of the factors that leads a team to success.

Another real good win for this Manchester United under the coaching of M.Carrick it is a hard team to beat Everton on their stadium so is a worthy victory.

Aside of that i cant believe how this team can be just 3 points far from the podium positions, is just incredible, a few months back they were among the worst teams and sacking their coach for the eleven time.

Michael Carrick has performed very well for Manchester United so far, where he has managed to earn many points for the Red Devils. And what's even more impressive is that Carrick was able to lead Man United to a decisive victory over their city rivals Manchester City even though Manchester United had been defeated by Manchester City in their previous meeting before. Man United also performed very well against Arsenal, where they defeated them by one-goal difference even though Arsenal has been so dominant this season and even the leader of the standings. I personally had some doubts about Carrick's coaching before because he had to face teams that are strong competitors for them. But Carrick has proven his greatness as a coach so far. I'm confident that Manchester United's winning mentality and even their confidence are returning under Carrick's current coaching. If Manchester United can consistently deliver strong performances in upcoming matches there is a high likelihood that Carrick will become the permanent coach at Manchester United as they will no longer need a new coach after finding one who suits them.

Carrick's arrival into the Manchester United squad, brought a big change and was very remarkable in the first match they also beat a very difficult team to beat, it continued into the 2nd and 3rd matches. Although they were held to a draw, they again managed to win the next match.

Honestly, I still think that this is a momentary happiness, because before I also saw things like this many times from Manchester United. But now I'm slowly starting to believe in them, but we'll see if this will continue or fall back.

This is how the standings look after all matches have been played.

Great job by Manchester United of course! It wasn't easy for them. After watching the second half I didn't believe in them to win at all honestly. But they managed to keep the advantage until the end.  Smiley

It still sounds really interesting that they are ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea both. Because of not being used to seeing it for years I guess. But there are still 11 more weeks to go! We will see if Carrick manages to carry his team to the Champions League.

Michael Carrick has done a great job since taking over as Manchester United interim coach.  Like you mentioned he has won all his matches except the match against Westham where they got a draw. I don't think it just about the result,  but they have been playing good football and I have been very impressed with the team. The game against Everton was really boring last night, but they found a way to win the match, which I think it's a very good one for the team. I think Michael Carrick needs to be giving this job, because he seems to understand the club and the team has been playing better on his watch.

The fist 20 minutes of the game yesterday, Manchester united played very well but after that the game started changing and to some point I felt Manchester united were not coordinated in the game because there was no scoring plan judging with what they were playing and second half became worst, Everton was playing better than them and Manchester united barely had a corner in yesterday's game. If not for the goal Sesko scored yesterday I would have said Carrick made a wrong substitution by taking off Amad and apart from a one touch football Sesko can't really do anything.

Since he took charge, everything has changed. Last night, Manchester United beat Everton 1–0 to move into fourth place in the Premier League. Carrick now has United dreaming of Champions League football again. The stats back it up. Either his tactics are pure genius, or the players are finally listening to him. Whatever the case, the understanding between him and the squad is clearly visible. If this level of performance continues, Man United might just have a serious long-term number 1 on his hands.

Is Carrick still Manchester United’s interim manager? I haven’t seen any real rumors about the club seriously considering other coaching candidates. And since the team has been playing so well, I think the Manchester United board might consider simply appointing Carrick on a permanent basis, at least giving him a one-year contract and allowing him more time to continue working with the team.

Snip.
Now Man United are on a different level, they have never lost during Carrick coaching era. As one of the players who inherited Alex Ferguson's DNA, he managed to find a way to overcome teams that use total defensive tactics. Carrick Man United playing style reminds me of Alex Ferguson time as manager. When facing a team that uses a parking-the-bus strategy, they try to play patiently while waiting for the right moment for a counter-attack.

They managed to collect 16 points from 6 matches, only losing 2 points, that is an extraordinary achievement in my opinion. In their next match, they will welcome the 13th-ranked team (Crystal Palace). I hope they win again to maintain their fourth position.

For now until the summer. Manchester United will not be clueless not to keep him as a permanent manager with a contract of nothing less than 3-4 years. Carrick has helped the team attain a spot where Amorim couldn't for the time he has spent in the club. It is Carrick or no one else for Manchester United, if they should sign a different manager at summer, we will see United at their worse again.

In my opinion Michael Carrick deserves a permanent job because he has shown a good workings which he can be trusted. Ruben Amorim made some good signings but he doesn't know how to utilise them most of these players were getting trashed by fans under Ruben Amorin but we can see how Michael Carrick is bringing out these squads potential talent. Honestly I'm very impressed with the way Manchester United is performing now and I hope to see them end in the top four, because I want Manchester United to participate in the champions League next season.

It is Carrick or no one else for Manchester United, if they should sign a different manager at summer, we will see United at their worse again.

I think Carrick's getting a contract extension depends on only one thing - to qualify for the CL or not.

But one can't overlook the fact that he is doing great with the club now. 6 games played so far. 5 wins and 1 draw. The guy even faced Arsenal and Manchester City in his first times. And he beat them both!!  Grin

While Chelsea and Liverpool aren't in their best shape there is a good chance for Carrick to go all the way for a CL spot...

I will admit that I'm also impressed with Michael Carrick performance for raising the bar for Manchester United, 6 games unbeaten is what the club have all dream about, although I'm not too satisfied in the way they made away with Everton. I wanted it early, it's not like Everton is that good to be in good position to oppress Manchester United but in that game, they did oppress them and their defensive style matches that of Manchester United the entire time.

They are now at the top 4 among the men, with one more extra match win they should be able to sit and dine with Aston vIlla. It's because they have been having bad game and result is why they have not been moving. The best they can do now is to take over that spot and push more so that even if we know they can't win the League, they can take a better place in the table and at least make show in the Champions League next coming season.
