I'm happy for Tottenham about this deal. De Zerbi isn't unfamiliar with the PL as you know. But he is taking over a wreck right now.

He has a really difficult job to do in such a short time period first. There are only 7 weeks left in the season. 

If he manages to keep Tottenham secure from relegation then I believe next season will be much better with him.

A name that was quite popularly discussed when he provided something quite interesting at Brighton after the Potter era and he returned to the EPL after several seasons of adventure at clubs outside the EPL.
This gives us hope because we know what De Zerbi is capable of but with Tottenham's current condition it is clearly not too easy because De Zerbi must try to improve the mentality of the players again and make conditions in the standings improve.

Currently there are only a few matches left for the EPL season to end but Tottenham's condition is still in serious trouble so hopefully De Zerbi will not feel burdened and instead make this a spirit as his achievement in the future.  Hopefully this is the last change of coach for Tottenham this season because they are too much in a coaching reshuffle that makes the performance and mentality of players due to chemistry decline dramatically.

I think and believe De Zerbi took a very risky appointment as the new Tottenham manager without considering the precarious position of Tottenham on the premier league table with just one point above the relegation, West Ham that currently sit 18th on the log is fighting hard to stay out of relegation and Tottenham has some tough fixtures ahead against Sunderland, Brighton, Chelsea etc is going to be very decisive and a very big task and challenge for De Zerbi, I pity him because of the current position of injury ravaged Tottenham club whose key players are presently injured.

This is certainly a risky venture but not just for De Zerbi, as the same goes for  Tottenham. Having three different managers in a single season is clearly a situation no team would  want to deal with, as it indicates that the team is facing quite serious problems ... The players are also bound to face immense pressure , as they not only have to shoulder the heavy burden of helping the team become better , but must also adapt to a new system that may not suit some of them.

With De Zerbi is no guarantee that Tottenham will be safe from a relegation threat , but I think he is a better option than sticking with Igor Tudor because if Tottenham remain with Tudor, there is  a strong likelihood they will be relegated to the Championship

I agree with you, it feels me with some certain degree of joy to know that De Zerbi will be the Tottenham coach, and I hope he actually revives this team minus his spell at Beighton, I also like the way he played the game at Marseille, it's good to see coaches that don't manage like the typical PL managers and I hope his coming to Tottenham doesn't conform to the PL's playing pattern.

And with the magnitude of players Tottenham has, it should make his job easier.

De Zerbi is highly welcome to Tottenham, he is really having lots to work on, because right now Tottenham is currently at the bottom of the table, I just hope De Zerbi will be able to improve their performance. Right now there will be so much pressure on De Zerbi  because of the current performance of Tottenham, and their current position on table. If Tottenham are not careful this season, they might still be relegated, so De Zerbi should work towards stopping them from being relegated this season. With the current condition that Tottenham are in, am not really expecting much from De Zerbi this season, but I know with time he will be able to adapt to the team.

Great selection from the Tottenham Hotspur management and I can’t wait to see De Zerb in action to deliver Tottenham from being relegated. His work is very clear and direct, he just needs to make sure that Tottenham Hotspur don’t get relegated and see them play in the premier league next season. At this point, he’s not coming to fight for Tottenham to qualify for any European competition but for them to just remain in the premier league, the more reason his job and task here is very clear and direct.

And I think de Zerbi can do it, that is, bring Tottenham Hotspur to stay in the Premier League, but of course this will not be easy, because the players are now unmotivated, the first step that Zerbi must take is to inject fighting spirit back into the players, a step that I think is very necessary.

His core job now is to make sure Tottenham don't go on religation, it's quite going to be tense on him because he has to win next few upcoming matches in anyway possible, the league doesn't respect any changes or adjustments in any club, adaption rate has to be quick as possible.

If it is Tottenham not going to relegation, he will deliver on that. I trust him...
Apart from being a good coach, there's also one thing that happens when there is a new coach and that is players doing their best in order to win their shirt and also win the heart of the coach.

Without saying much, we should be expecting good performance from Tottenham and of course they won't get relegated. Assuming the new coach came earlier, they wouldn't have been at this low stage.

While some other European leagues are having a break, La Liga is not stopping and we're going to have some action this weekend.

The biggest game is, of course, Atletico Madrid Vs Barcelona. This is one of the 3 clashes between these two clubs that we will see in the span of the next 2 weeks, as both of them have been drawn against each other in the quarter-final of the Champions League.

Barcelona is the favourite despite playing away, but Atletico won't make it easy for them. If Barca happens to lose, Real would likely close the gap to only one point, as I don't expect Real to lose any points on Mallorca.

Yeah, I also think he's a good pick to now try and change the performance of Tottenham. He had the experience and expertise to try and change the fortunes of the club. He does have a lot of work to do at Tottenham as they've had a  very poor run this season and is actually on the verge of being relegated.
Can he put in place some effective changes like Carrick did when he took over managing the team? We'll see. One thing is certain, the appointment of De Zerbi as the new Tottenham manager has brought in renewed hope amongst their supporters.

He did exceptionally well last season with Olympic Marseille, coming to Tottenham Hotspur now that they're on the brink of getting relegated, I think he already knows the pressure he's about to face so I expect him to deliver by saving the team from playing in the EFL Championships next season.
Tottenham Hotspur possess the needed quality in squad to improve the team's performance and bring them back to winning ways and hopefully, De Zerbi will achieve that.

I don’t think Roberto De Zerbi can save Tottenham from relegation, and even if they do make it out of relegation battle, I’m pretty sure they will not be any better next season. From what I read, as part of De Zerbi contract, he’s been given full control of football decisions in the club. Kinda makes me wonder why the board didn’t think to do this with Ange before showing him the door.

This is a great deal for Tottenham and I think should have been the option the weighed since they sacked Ange Postecoglue because all the two coaches they brought to replace were not better than him, he was better than them but I think they have now gotten a coach for the team.

De Zerbi is a very good coach with premier league experience, he will do his best to lift Tottenham up next season because I am very sure he will pass the relegation battle as he will end above the relegation zone.

With him in charge  I don't think they'll be relegated, I'll be heavily invested on them because I think he has the experience and tactics to succeed with them in the Premier League Competition. Maybe even the players who can keep the ball, and also technically great,I look forward to his first game in charge of Tottenham Hotspur,  I confident he'll successfully ace it up.

Before you think that they can't be relegated I hope you don't forget that they will not be signing new players till next season so unless the new manager had another strategy to help them come out of the mess they are already into they will end up being relegated.

The new manager will introduce a new pattern to help them team get out of the relegation zone it will take the players fastness to adapt to his tactics for them to win matches so that they will come up to avoid being relegated.

Roberto De Zerbi has the daunting task of saving Tottenham from relegation, as they are currently just one point above the safety zone. Many, including myself, are pessimistic about De Zerbi's ability to save Tottenham from relegation. Because, the teams Tottenham will face are very strong.

Let's see what tactics De Zerbi will implement to improve Tottenham's performance in a better direction in a short time to save Tottenham from relegation this season.

The relegation doesn't matter anymore for Tottenham. They have signed Zerbi for 5 years. He's gonna still stay there even if his club relegate. Myself believe that he will not able to save his club, but he already agreed to commit with the club for the next years.

So, if his club will face a bitter truth to be relegated, i think he's ready for that.  This is why i think they're ready once they relegate, they can comeback again in the next season.

However, it will be so good for Zerbi to show his best in the last games of EPL, but it sounds like an impossible job to save his team consider his team has nothing useful to leave from relegation zone.

The most possible thing to farm three points from Wolves, while the rest are possible 0 points or draw.

The fact that others failed doesn't mean that fans should use it to judge De Zebri, remember that they need something to give them hope that things would get better and it's normal for fans to use the signing of their new coach as hope for better days, I also think that he's better than Igor Tudor and Thomas Ftank. Well it's a very short period to try change thngs immediately and I won't blame De Zebri if he can't help thrm escape relegation.

Are you suggesting De Zerbi is better than Ange? I don’t see what he’s done in his previous clubs that matches Ange’s resume. In my opinion, Tottenham just got who they believe was available and willingly to take on a relegation threaten team and while it may appear that Tottenham wants De Zerbi for the long term I think they will sack him after a year or two.

What is he actually thinking to accept this job at this critical moment? Like is the risk what taking? It's just one point from getting relegated and Westham United seem to have pick form lately and Tottenham hotspur has shown no sign of form and he's accepting this deal what if they later get relegated? Like many will forget to acknowledge that he only came to the team when the deed has already been done, i just hope he succeed because it wont be nice if he fails for there is a very big task ahead of him, but let's just fold our hands and watch how it goes.

A wreck could turn genius in the space of 7 days. I'm also excited he could land this deal, now lets see if he brings Mason Greenwood back to the Premier League in the future.

They have quality set of players within the dressing room and squad, just a philosophy lacking to engineer themselves back up and also win games.  He has as well decided to remain if they get relegated. He has shown believe he could come out of the red zones to these players indirectly, they'll kill for him within the next seven (7) fixtures.
