Yes, because the teams are currently preparing for next season but with each team conducting trials the Fulham vs Chelsea match will certainly serve as a warm-up for both teams for next season especially since both teams have new coaches. Am not really expecting much from Chelsea by next season, and I don’t think anyone should even expect Instant improvement in Chelsea performance, it’s going to be a gradual process. Alonso will have to rebuild the squad gradually, some talented players are already leaving Chelsea, he will need to sign some players. Chelsea, with their new manager, want to be competitive next season, but these things don't happen overnight. Look at the example of Arsenal. Arteta has been in charge of Arsenal for many years. They were constantly finishing second, but eventually they managed to win the championship and reached the Champions League final. They almost won the Champions League too, but lost on penalties. Therefore, trusting the manager and giving him time is the best thing for a team.

Chelsea need to trust their manager until the end of the season if they want to finish next season successfully. Also, considering they've changed managers eight times, the management should perhaps look for some of the blame themselves. I don't think they've brought in a good coach. If they think that this time their coach will do something good for them, then they can really understand their coach from this perspective and if they have doubts, then they should sell him and choose a new coach, which will remove their doubts and they can also try to win the title. Yes, last season they changed the coach instead of improving their performance and I thought that if they had changed the players instead of the coach, their team could have been good and their position could have been better than before. We'll likely see another manager at Chelsea before the end of next season of the club management fails to give the new manager the full liberty to make decisions on his own. Chelsea's recent problem isn't about the managers they've had, though some of them were completely clueless but I think the club management's style were too limiting for the managers to succeed.
They currently have a very good manager who can help then return to winning ways and become competitive again. But that I think will happen if they allow him decide the players to be signed and the ones to leave, not signing too many players who doesn't fall into the coach's style of football.

You got the point. Arsenal believed in Arteta, they gave him years to shape the team and bring in the players he wanted/needed, that is how you build a team and win trophies. Chelsea, on the other hand, are doing exactly the opposite: the change 2-3 managers per year, they buy and sell a bunch of players, the management has no clue about what they are doing.

As far as I can see Liverpool is preparing to spend at least a couple of hundred million pounds this summer as well. I wonder if these transfers are made by getting the opinion of Iraola or not...

They are about to spend more than £100m to sign Yan Diomande. That's quite an amount!    Are they planning to make him kind of their new Salah? He has played as right winger the most lately. He is really talented.

Chelsea has appointed a talented manager like Alonso. But if they want very quick results again, they will make another mistake. Alonso should be given at least 2 seasons. Only then is there a chance that Chelsea's situation will change.

If Chelsea want to be among the top clubs next season, I think they should trust this manager because under the right guidance of Xabi Alonso, this team might be able to compete well in the upcoming season. Another thing is that this PL club has appointed an experienced manager so we think they should add more experienced players to their squad in the upcoming transfer window. In the last 2025/26 season, Chelsea's attacking strength was very insignificant and as a result they were trophyless last season but as far as we know they were only able to win the Club World Cup trophy. I think Alonso understands all this, and he's well aware of how demanding Chelsea's management is. But apparently the contract terms suited Alonso, and he decided to test his mettle. Of course, after his time coaching Real Madrid, Chelsea will probably be a step down for him, but on the other hand, if he succeeds at Chelsea and achieves good results, it will demonstrate his high level of coaching, and thus he could receive offers from more reputable clubs. Although, given how Maresca was sacked from Chelsea, I don't even know what Alonso needs to achieve to stay with the team longer than he did.

Almost all Chelsea players are average players but that doesn't mean they can not do great after all that is the same team that won Paris Saint Germain in the club world cup that  no one expected because Paris saint Germain form that period was so outstanding and they are still outstanding till now that is they were able to defeat Bayern Munich and Arsenal though the win against Bayern Munich was not because they played more or better than Bayern but they were so lucky.

Chelsea are the kind of club that always go after quick results, and I'm not even surprised to see that Chelsea have had 8 managers since 2023. So, even if Alonso does not give Chelsea quick results as expected, I don't expect it will take long before they sack him.However, one thing Chelsea have is that they are always ready to sign players for their coaches, so I don't think Alonso will have much problem getting new players into the club.Alonso is a good coach, and he may do well and achieve trophies for Chelsea. Even next season, I am expecting some good performances from Chelsea. As they are not in any European competition, they will mostly focus on the Premier League. Because of that, there will be less pressure on the players, and they will always have enough time to rest and prepare properly for their next Premier League matches.

I am 99% sure that Coventry is not looking to stay, I mean they would be super happy to stay, but they are not really interested in staying at all, most clubs that promote to premier league is not looking to stay. Because you get a ton of money to promote, and then you can use that to get the team infrastructure better.

Some teams build stadiums for example, Luton Town has one of the most rundown stadiums that premier league has ever seen, they got there, got the money, and now they have given it to a contractor (which is postponing all the time) and it is estimated to be done and be ready to play in 28-29 season. Now, this is not "oh I bought this player he will be so good" type of improvement, this is "it will be great decision even when that player retires" type of decision.

Till now I want lie am still shocked to how Chelsea was able to win PSG in that FIFA world club cup finals because that game they were a totally different team and they totally outplayed and outclassed PSG in that game, but after that game they faced a lot of pressure when their form starts declining leading to the sack of the famous manager Enzo meresca, as of the players being average we have seen a lot of club achieve alot more with even far less squad.

I’m not surprised seeing Liverpool trying to spend a lot of money during this transfer window. They did the same thing last season when they spent a lot of money signing three expensive players, yet they didn’t win a single trophy and struggled to finish among the top four teams in the Premier League. I don’t think this would be the idea of the new manager from the first place, Liverpool always prefer to sign players which are quite expensive.

Leipzig rejected the first offer from Liverpool, they rejected €100m for a player who has played only one season for Leipzig. Liverpool should learn a lesson from last season after signing Wirtz from Leverkusen €120m, Yan Diomande might struggle to adapt to the pressure of the Premier League.

Chelsea owners must be patient and give Xabi alonso time to build the squad. If his first season fails to bring progress, that's certainly not his fault. He needs to implement a game structure and select players to adapt his coaching strategy. Therefore, the first season will be about experimenting with strengthening the squad, even though the main porpuse is to compete for the top spot. However, if there is improvement, that's a sign of progress made by xabi alonso.

He is certainly an experienced coach with a strong track record. Even fans should support xabi alonso, as their support is crucial for the team recovery from this season slump. It' is incredible that Liverpool can spent 120 millions for wirtz and this season another 100 millions for Diomande. I watch a match with diomande on the pitch and it is a very fast and dribbler player, but it is a incredible amount of money for a player with only 40 matches with Leipzig. In this years for the top team buy a young player it is a blood splash and not all of this player become the new messi.
